    Thanks for the video. My Recon was bought used and never wanted to start properly. Pulled the carb apart and cleaned the jets and adjusted the fuel air screw and it fires up first time. Also the vacuum hoses were in the wrong location. Fixed👍 Thx again

      Had the same issue with the vacuum lines. I don't know why people make more issues when they touch things!!

    should the drain screw always be open?

    • @MidNebraskaMotorsports
      @MidNebraskaMotorsports  6 месяцев назад

      Definitely not. Keep it closed unless you need to empty the fuel out of the carb. Thanks for the comment! Let us know if there is anything we can help with. Check out: ruclips.net/video/X0AdFxkJiOg/видео.html for more tips. And: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports for all your parts.

    I have an ‘04 recon and it starts, idles,and runs great. At idle however the overflow hose from the bowl drips gas constantly. Turning off the gas line stops it. What do you recommend might be the trouble maker?

      Dirty needle seat, or worn needle seat.

    I like to wear gloves. I usually think about using them about the time I'm going back together with it. lol

    Hi we were leaking fuel from the carb drain (screw was open - understood it is supposed to be open to allow overflow if the gas gets above the post inside the bowl…because the float isn’t seating the needle properly). Extensive attempts to clean the seat and needle did not work…so installed entirely new, OEM carb. Still leaks from the drain when screw is open! Other sites say to just close the drain screw! That works, and ATV starts & runs…but understood from your video the drain screw should remain open. Help?!!

      keep it closed always, it's just a drain plug......

      Open to drain carb bowl of fuel for longer term storage, but keep closed during operation

      I can’t believe they installed a new carb because they didn’t close the drain screw.
