11:08-11:30 despite the fact that Shadow just meet Mephiles and doesn’t hold much of a grudge against and Mephiles does… THIS part literally was just so damn good, the music, Mephiles eyes and the story behind him…it’s just so satisfying to me
That moment when you realize Eggman is perfectly fine freeing monsters like Dark Gaea to further his plans... and runs the instant he realizes Mephiles is out of his prison.
True... but then... how would he know that? This is quite clearly the first time they've met, and even from what little time he had to converse in the past, I'm fairly certain the only one who heard him talk was Shadow.
Eggman may not have known Mephiles personally, but I know he did some research about the Solaris incident, if he knew that Iblis was inside of Elise, maybe he knew about Mephiles' conscious mind.
Thats why Shadow will always be my favorite character in the Sonic Franchise, he has an actual purpose to fight for the humans, the same humans who shot Maria right in front of him, the same humans imprisoned him, the same humans who wanted to kill him and the same humans who would frame him and imprison for the iblis incident. He'll fight for them because its what Maria wouldve wanted him to do.
Any one else notice that his theme sounds a bit like the old chateau from Pokemon Diamond? ( Diamond came out in 2008, maybe they got inspired by Mephiles' theme for the creepy house, the only thing scary in Diamond... )
IIRC, Non-Crystalline Mephiles model also lacks eyelids, like, they are not present on it at all. It's also slightly shorter and more assymetrical than Shadow.
Either that or one day he found some kind of super weed and got really baked off that shit, which ended up making him a lot smarter and so then he had the knowledge of the past present and future to enact his evil plan 'n shit.😂😂🤣
I mean Sonic Team pulled Classic Sonic out their ass for Forces when it made absolutely NO sense for him to be there. They can do the same for Mephiles, just say he exists outside of time and space and call it a day.
say whatever you want about Sonic 06 , but Mephiles will go down as one of the most interesting and scariest villains in the franchise. too bad he never interacted with the main hero since he is the main villain of the game
Nah, Infinite doesn't have much to his name, unlike Mephiles, who brands the title of the first, and kinda only, character to kill Sonic. Plus, all Infinite does is knock out Sonic once, hint at the idea he's trying to kill him, sends him to null space, and fails. Mephiles convinced Silver, outright tells Shadow he will die at his hands, fought and almost defeated SHADOW, kill Sonic, releases Iblis, and completes his goal of becoming Solaris, the god of space and time.
Joel Chin-Sue Fair points but big differences include Infinite having a less complex and understandable backstory, he has illusionist powers, his plans was was less convoluted than using time travel shenanigans, and he’s not part god.
God, to think about it. There's a CRAZY amount of SA2 parallels with Mephiles. Like SA2 Shadow, he manipulated people to get his way; he was an experiment; he's fixated on revenge; arrogant; both treated badly by humanity in some form; apathetic to the world because his Maria (Iblis) was taken from him. He's SO much like how Shadow was in the past which is why I think Shadow's hesitation in his manipulations makes sense because they connect. He's basically seeing a past version of himself, but unlike Mephiles ever will, Shadow grew past that to be better. I seriously love Mephiles and Shadow's dynamic in this game because they're polar opposites yet so similar at the same time and it's written so well. Like even the OSTs have their motifs clashing!
Also, not only were both Mephiles and Shadow a result of science experiments, but they were also sealed away by humanity for years (Shadow in cryostasis for 50 years, and Mephiles sealed inside a scepter for 10). Also, yeah! I never noticed the slight parallels between Maria and Iblis (granted, Iblis was a part of Mephiles rather than a companion, but both were scarred and revenge driven over their losses regardless).
It helps that his og look was a replica of shadow, a good way to show shadow’s development and evolution from an edgy pretentious bastard to the strong willed and fan favorite character he is today
Also, relistening to All of me, "do you remember me, captured you and set you free. I am all, I am all of me." Originally meant to be a poke at the robotniks capturing/using him, and how each time they tried to use him, lost him. It now turns around to how he captures mephiles and then frees him, slowly being painted as more of the robotnik archetype, even so far as to being blamed as the perpetrator of the flames of destruction
Without Mephiles, this story would've been a completely unsalvageable wreck, with no redeeming qualities. A villain is the most important part of any story, as they are the heroes of their own story. At least they got that much right...
Mephiles made it good by tearing them apart from the inside and twisting everyone's Idea that was the bad guy like he easily tricked silver in to thinking that sonic was bad his twisted ways of tricking was amazing
I just love the duality of Shadow and Mephiles. The shadow of shadow. Its very well written really, if you ignore the sometimes laughable delivery of the dialogue and just look at the subtitles.

I don't care if he's basically a recolored version of shadow. Make him have the voice of Dan green mixed with creepy eyes who's personality can be like the Devils stooge and he is one of the most terrifying and most impressive sonic villains.
Impressive performance by Dan Green, bone-chilling theme, horrifying design, fascinating dialogue, and yet despite having a cliche goal of destroying everything just for the sake of destruction (despite being its main purpose) has a fantastic character. Mephiles truly is one of the best villains in Sonic Franchise
Knock knock! IT'S KNUCKLES!!! And then Mephiles haunts him again, and then Dan Green gets kidnapped and becomes Mephiles' vessel. Knuckles and Amy will have to save his actor before he gets lost in the pure insanity Mephiles is spreading.
Toxic User took Sonic and a created character to beat infinite took Super Sonic Super shadow and Super Silver to take him down without the phantom ruby he is in the words of Shadow worthless.
Toxic User sorry man Infinite was so dumb for letting sonic live twice and that’s why he lost mephiles actually killed Sonic if it wasn’t for the chaos emeralds and the forbidden thing nobody will acknowledge Sonic would have never came back. Mephiles is way smarter than infinite he though everything up hundreds of years setting the events that unfolded.
11:08-11:30 I noticed a nice and simple piece of symbolism and foreshadowing here: Mephiles was looking at Shadow but between them was fire, Mephiles could also be seen looking at the fire, as if he needed it this fire desperately; the flame could be symbolic for Iblis, as Mephiles is trying to merge himself with Iblis. As Shadow and Mephiles stare through the flame, the flame grows and in the camera shot it looks that Mephiles and the flame are getting closer. This could foreshadow that Mephiles is getting closer to becoming one with Iblis. Nearing the end of the game, Mephiles and Iblis eventually do become whole as Solaris.
Too bad Silver is only cameo in some Sonic games. He had the potential to become a great hero for the crew, yet the potential was wasted on this garbage game. Same with Mephiles' potential as a fantastic Sonic villain.
By far, Mephiles is one of the most powerful and best villains, if it takes three supers to take him down, well, he's also the only villain who actually managed to kill Sonic, so SEGA. Bring him back, people get bored of only seeing Eggman...
I like Infinite, I just really hate his backstory and how it was so bland and boring. It’s one of the many things that Forces could’ve done better but I think Mephiles was great. It would be great if he came back because I think his story in 06 is way better than the mess that is Sonic Forces. When Infinite comes back, I hope he can add to they story as great as Mephiles did.

When you think about it, this wasn't the story of Silver, Elise, or Sonic. This was the story of Mephiles, the most powerful antagonist in the Sonic series. Mephiles, after a decade of being trapped in the Spectre of Darkness is free...and ready to become Solaris again. After being released by Shadow, he immediately returns the gift of being trapped in a artifact for 10 years by having him meet Iblis. Then manages to convince Silver and Blaze to kill Sonic. Then fights and flees from Shadow and E-123 Omega. Then finds Chaos Emeralds only to engage in battle against Shadow, E-123 Omega, and Rouge. Finally, after a swift retreat finds one more Emerald and uses it to kill Sonic and free Iblis to reunite once more to be Solaris.
@@Alejandro333777 even more so considering mephiles probably only showed shadow his future because it was also shadows past, making it even more impactful. however, since shadow a.does not care since he knows that his purpose never was to seek revenge and b.has seen that people can also do right things(he probably heared of the president giving gerald his own day of honor because of what happened 50 years ago being recognised as a grave misjudgement) he decides that the right choice is to change that future instead of giving into mephiles manipulation

@@holidaycat5160 You can finish the battle with Silver in less than a minute If you know how. Most of the glitches are just made by the player trying to do something when he isn't suppose to do that. I do agree with Elise, everyone hates Elise
Sonic 06 had an awesome story. I know Sonic 06 haters are gonna kill me for saying this but it did. No other Sonic game had such an extensive, mysterious, and suspenseful story. Sonic 06 had its problems but the story is not one of them (except for the ending).
+KingLink95 To me, what's wrong with the story is how repetitive it can be(with elise getting kidnapped again and again) and a couple plot holes. I feel like if Sega proof-read the story and edited it a bit, it would have been great.
+JonnyCars100 You are both right! The Story manages to make me curiuos, what will happen next. Something the Story of Boom will never do. But it needs some fixes.
dupin9 If only it could be rewritten. I don't want Sega to remake Sonic 06, but I do want to see maybe a rewrite by a fan and make it into a movie with SFM or something. There is a way to fix it up its plot holes- for I could see a way around it.
Shamus TheKnight Exactly! That's exactly how I see it! Sonic's story is basically rinse, wash, and repeat; constantly "saving" Princess Elise. If anything, I felt like this was more of a Shadow the Hedgehog 2 than a Sonic 06. He had better lines, story, comebacks, and most importantly, relevance.
Not exactly why people hate it, mostly the new girl Elise, the minor twitching in the animations, along with some minor audio issues, glitches, and possibility of the stupidity Elsie's father had about harnessing Solaris when technically Solaris is Satan.
I gotta say, Sega did a pretty decent job with the cut-scenes for Sonic '06. (Except for the body movement. They looked like as if they were recorded with a motion camera. .3.)
I wish they would remake this game! When I say remake, I dont mean with a modified story, I mean with new 3D Models! Imagine seeing cutscenes the way we can make them now!
I just realized that there are two versions of Mephiles in the present-the temporally correct version that was just released and sent Shadow into the future, and the future version that had gone back to ensure he can fuse with Iblis and become Solaris again. That makes me wonder what the present Mephiles was doing in Shadow's Story and the Last Story while the future Mephiles was active, and if he was aware of this
That reminds me of a Theory I heard during BrainScratchComms' Sonic 06 Playthrough. Though in my Opinion, I think we only saw one Mephiles the whole Time. BUT your Statement, that there are two Mephiles' is still correct, which lets me assume that Future Mephiles must be sealed somewhere in the Future. (If Future Mephiles was free, he would have done something before the Present Mephiles was released. Maybe he would have fused already, since his Future Iblis was free the whole Time...so basically we could have gotten another Quest, where Mephiles tries to free his Futureself so F-Mephiles can fuse in his Place instead of trying to release Present Iblis). Before your Comment I didn't even thought about that Possibilty.
John Porteous there is a 3rd version of mephiles that slipped through the cracks of time and space. And you have eggman to blame for that. This peice of mephiles from the cracks of time and space is called the time eater.
Heh heh heh. One might say there was only one version of Mephiles. The past reawakened in the present, and went to the future, hopping between the present and the future to cause some true chaos. Some say that The Present and The Future combined, after all...Darkness is meant to join and encompass all, it is the beginning and what some might call the (brief) ending. This character has had, a lot of possibilities speculated on the subject of him, over the years; frankly the whole time travel bit is confusing, unless you think along a certain train of thought.
sonic is a good game but it's in my opinion so I'm not going out to play the games because of my iPhone game and the app crashes very very well I have used this game and it was a great app and it is a great app

@@wisccheese9257 No he wont, Mephiles is an identity Solaris took when the black shadow meaning Mephiles got a form thanks to Shadow The Hedgehog and he only exists, the ending showed the festival celebrating Solaris and Iblis and Mephiles no longer exist, just in Sonic's memory.
@@wisccheese9257 He’s back in sonic forces speedbattle (mobile game) and he was supposed to be one of the illusions in sonic forces in the original script.
I would've preferred Mephiles turning out to be Shadow's darkside that he somehow expelled from his being following the fight with the Final Hazard from SA2, and somehow ended up sealed in the Scepter of Darkness, and upon being released set out to destroy Shadow not only out of vengeance for tossing away his evil nature upon remembering his true promise to Maria, but also to prove he was the strongest of the two halves.
actually, that makes me want to come up with an interessting direction for the character: mephiles as just the matter that we saw in the flashback would be an emotionless mind. no form,no feelings,no memories(obviously. it is technicly a new being). when merging with shadows dark side, that side of shadow is actually the more important part of the mix. he is the real ultimate lifeform,he wants to seek revenge on humanity, not for project solaris, but for gunning down maria. he wants to sway shadow to the dark side, but also wants revenge on him for refusing him in shadow the hedgehog(in this timeline, the darkside of that game never happened and shadow went with being a hero afterall) and for stopping the ark in sa2. he wants to destory this world and wants to create a new one as a newly fused solaris.
Mephiles was the darkest and most evil sonic villain as he wanted to destroy all of reality, time and space. And he surpassed even black doom. Plus Eggman wanted to rule but not destroy everything like mephiles did.
Idc if the game sucked or not, as a Sonic fan I still enjoyed it. I really hope they will make a new Sonic game in the future, where Mephiles once again is the villain. Great video.
Well it certainly was entertaining, or else I wouldn't have completed it to 100% with the DLCs. Many People like Mephiles so SEGA should consider giving him another Chance.
somehow,i think they did that intentionally as a yugioh reference. afterall, atem was being sealed into a mc guffin after some kind of big event(project solaris/stopping the major badguy) and then manifested in the darkness of a person similar yet completely diffrent then them...yeah,that kinda fits completely lol
Well, the Question "Blue Hedgehog ?" shows us, that it rings a Bell at least, but she doesn't know anything beyond that in this Game. This Question is a bit tough, since Sonic 06 was supposed to be a Reboot. So: Considering that, I would call it a little Easter Egg and nothing more.
yeah, the timeline is out of order here. "blue hedgehog" is actually "naive hedgehog" in japanese. it just uses the same word as blue to trick silver and the players. the translator got tricked too tho and thus, that is technicly a mistranslation(i mean,it would have been weird af if silver suddenly said "you mean that naive hedgehog?",but oh well. languagebarriers.) blaze was born and grew up in crisis city with powers linked to iblis....somehow(was it ever explained how she has firepowers?),then she seals iblis inside herself and gets her existance rewritten to be in the soldimension. with the timeline resetting, history was changed to make sence of her being there and thus, she was "retroactively reborn"(i have no better term for it) as princess of that dimension. and because of the firepowers she has from iblis, she became the guardian of the solemeralds or something. i never actually played rush and rivals,i just heared that the games exist and eggman nega from the future stuff
@@lpfan4491 Shiro Maekawa (main scriptwriter of SA2, StH, 06) literally confirmed this. When Blaze sealed herself in another dimension, it was Sol dimension. However, Takashi Iizuka refutes this. In general, they themselves do not know the exact answer.
+Gerhard H. Than how does rouge know? I'm pretty sure if the kind of your land died they will find out the cause. And if the present in this game is 2006, then this is in 1996 and no information like this is secret (idk if it is tho)

Sonic 06 sucked. They brought such an awesome villain, but the game was terrible. I wish Mephiles will play a much larger role soon, possibly making a comeback.
I personally loved the game. is it the best, not even close but it was still fun and did it's job of changing how we view Sonic. Honestly I wish they would just remake this game without its problems. They could make it like an apology to the fans for rushing it so much. This game was amazing but could have been so much better without its glitches and the horrid loading screen.
+Mastah Playah Imagine a Sonic Adventure like game were you could play as a villain like Mephiles, but unlike Sonic Adventure 2, Mephiles stays a villain the entire time. Like when you beat the final boss, you unlock the villain and can have an evil mode dedicated to just wrecking havoc on the heroes...And discover what the villain does outside of boss battles and cut scenes...
The thing that I find so eerie yet compelling about Mephiles are the moments where he stops speaking. The way he pauses is so fucking unnatural, yet so right. He's like a predator when his body "shuts down." Everything about him freezes and seems to stop working, almost like he's working up the power inwardly to strike. That's the predator part, but his eyes tell a completely different story. When Mephiles stops and just blankly stares, it's like all of that predatory urge to kill gets petrified. It feels like there's an internal dialogue every time he pauses like this. He's almost lustfully fantasizing about the sinister ways he'll use his words next. There's never a pounce despite how sinister and calculating he is, again, the unnatural part of this whole "predator stalking prey" thing. And yet to this day no villain in the Sonic series can match the amount of damage he's done. It's just such an odd choice that makes him feel like he doesn't even belong in this game. Like, when Mephiles does actually move and talk with other characters, he starts up like an actor preparing to speak his lines. It's kinda great.
Mephiles the dark voiced by Dan Green who also did the role of Knuckles & as the pharaoh himself in Yu-Gi-Oh of Sonic 06 for Xbox 360 & PS3 - is one of the best & cold hearted, curel manipulated villains in the worst game of the mid 2000's era & it's just too bad that all the events were erased as it never even happened before it occurred.
I have to admit I like the general idea behind Mephiles, and his second form's design is pretty good. However, not to many people's surprise, the story's writing ruins it. Sure, he manipulates people into doing what he wants and eventually achieves what he was going for. Now that's really great and all... but the problem is though, he didn't have to do any manipulating in order to reach his goals. He tries to seduce Shadow to the dark side... because that's what bad guys do I guess, I don't see how Shadow's help would have amounted to much. He tries to manipulate Silver into killing Sonic... even though he easily pulls that off later in mere seconds. Mephiles could've won right away with all those ridiculously strong powers of his. It really sucks too, because there's an easy fix to this... nerfing Mephiles. If Mephiles' abilities were cut down to immortality and time travel alone, it would have justified every bit of manipulation he does because he wouldn't have the raw power required to kill Sonic by himself. Him trying to get powerful characters like Shadow and Silver on board with him would make perfect sense. Plus it would make him a perfect foil to Iblis, him being the "brains" and Iblis the "brawn". ...Too bad that wouldn't fix everything else about the story though. :/
+Stegomasaurus Well, some Actions make more sense, if you look at them from a different Perspective. 1. If he could convince Shadow to switch to his side, Mephiles wouldn't have to deal with him and could instead focus on collecting Emeralds. 2. Mephiles wouldn't accomplish anything, if he killed Sonic at the Beginning, because Elise didn't have any Feelings for Sonic at that Point. --> She wouldn't cry because of it (By the way: A new Version of 06 should mention, that only Tears caused by Emotions, release Ibliss, just saying). And I guess, that he chooses Silver to do the Job instead, because of the first Fight against Iblis. --> He knew, that Silver would need a long time to kill Sonic. All the Events (in the meantime) would bring Sonic and Elise closer together, so when Silver would finally be able to kill Sonic, Elise would release Tears, that can free Iblis. 1.+2. focused on Mephiles being a Tactician but there is one other Perspective. 3. Even if Mephiles is pure Darkness, he is still showing Emotions, so the Reason he takes his Time are his Feelings. --> He might enjoy the Moments, want to let People suffer longer and isn't feeling like bringing Doomsday so early, or else he loses his Enjoyment. Maybe he actually is the Type of Person, who is more interessted in the Way to the Goal, than the Goal itself (at some Points). But this goes to much into the psychological Direction and this is only a quick Guess on my Side anyway. ...Yeah I might be thinking too much about that, nerfing Mephiles woud make some Things more easier to write and would create some other Cutscenes, which aren't possible with the Mephiles we have.
Not exactly seduction, more of attempting to lure him with shadow's own future or supposed future, I kinda thought the immortality would of kepted mephiles alive but since he was mostly the mind and not most of the strength to free himself to prevent himself from dying. He's a destructive little baby
Nov 5062 Like I said, Sonic 06 was a horrible game thanks to the many gameplay errors SEGA was too lazy to fix and the story was confusing for younger people (Jesus I sound like a game reviewer) but Mephiles was one of the few things that gave the game something worthwhile to talk about. Because unlike other Sonic villains in either the games or comics, who wanted to either wanted to destroy the world in revenge or conquer it, Mephiles wanted to destroy reality all because he wanted to.
Wow such wasted potential, Mephiles was a pretty cool Pure Evil Villain: His Motives are simple and easy to understand, he just wants to reunite with his other half and destroy everything. He enjoys causing suffering to others. While he seems to have the power to enact his goals by himself he seems to prefer the angle of manipulating others to do his dirty work for him. He has an interesting duality with Shadow that brings out the best in everyone's favorite Edge-hog. And he's just plain Charismatic as hell in a way that you love to hate, like you don't want him to win but you're excited to see just how bad he is.

Alex Bodden
Yeah..
He promissed to Maria
Thats why Shadow will always be my favorite character in the Sonic Franchise, he has an actual purpose to fight for the humans, the same humans who shot Maria right in front of him, the same humans imprisoned him, the same humans who wanted to kill him and the same humans who would frame him and imprison for the iblis incident. He'll fight for them because its what Maria wouldve wanted him to do.
He's the best one to fight against 2nd phase solaris
His theme is still being used in creepypasta readings...
Any one else notice that his theme sounds a bit like the old chateau from Pokemon Diamond? ( Diamond came out in 2008, maybe they got inspired by Mephiles' theme for the creepy house, the only thing scary in Diamond... )
I can -see- hear why. IT IS SO CREEPY! 0_0

Sonic 06's story kinda makes more sense when you follow it from Mephile's point of view.
Sorta helps Silver's story to
Everyone wants Mephiles to make a comeback... I want BOTH Mephiles and Iblis to make a comeback.
Too bad nobody but Sonic remembers the events and only Solaris exists now.
And Silver in my opinion, he deserves a better story with better direction so that he can redeem himself

They can do the same for Mephiles, just say he exists outside of time and space and call it a day.
say whatever you want about Sonic 06 , but Mephiles will go down as one of the most interesting and scariest villains in the franchise. too bad he never interacted with the main hero since he is the main villain of the game
Minor spoilers
Seems like (According to the leaks) Infinite is on par with Mephiles for being the scariest villain as well.
Mr AO31 at first I didn't know anything about this Guy and now he blew my freaking mind away
Meh. I think Mephiles not interacting with Sonic is perfect. Made him killing him better. In my opinion anyway
I think its better with them not interacting... because it messes with Sonic that much more if he never really got meet who was f*cking with him
No he did interact with sonic he killed sonic!
The best villain in Sonic history.
Appears in one game with some of the worst gameplay in the series.
It's unfair
Lunacy
And now Infinite took that place :D
Nah, Infinite doesn't have much to his name, unlike Mephiles, who brands the title of the first, and kinda only, character to kill Sonic. Plus, all Infinite does is knock out Sonic once, hint at the idea he's trying to kill him, sends him to null space, and fails. Mephiles convinced Silver, outright tells Shadow he will die at his hands, fought and almost defeated SHADOW, kill Sonic, releases Iblis, and completes his goal of becoming Solaris, the god of space and time.
@Joel Chin-Sue
The guy looks and attacks nowhere near as mephiles, what are you talking about?
Joel Chin-Sue
Fair points but big differences include Infinite having a less complex and understandable backstory, he has illusionist powers, his plans was was less convoluted than using time travel shenanigans, and he’s not part god.
Basically Mephiles is what would have happened if Amy didn't convince Shadow to see through the deceptions of evil.
+Aidan Keogh That... and the music...
Mephiles made it good by tearing them apart from the inside and twisting everyone's Idea that was the bad guy like he easily tricked silver in to thinking that sonic was bad his twisted ways of tricking was amazing
Yeah, The Flash Season 3 basically ripped the main villain off from Mephiles: Savitar. This type of villain is kinda cliché now.
Jason Nguyen
What the hell are you talking about? Savitar existed long before Mephiles in the comics.
Mephiles, Shadow, and Silver were the best characters in the story imo.... so like 1/4
I just love the duality of Shadow and Mephiles. The shadow of shadow. Its very well written really, if you ignore the sometimes laughable delivery of the dialogue and just look at the subtitles.

Mephiles is way smarter than infinite he though everything up hundreds of years setting the events that unfolded.
11:08-11:30 I noticed a nice and simple piece of symbolism and foreshadowing here:
Mephiles was looking at Shadow but between them was fire, Mephiles could also be seen looking at the fire, as if he needed it this fire desperately; the flame could be symbolic for Iblis, as Mephiles is trying to merge himself with Iblis.
13:00 - 13:32 Easily one of the best moments in the sonic franchise.
Too bad Silver is only cameo in some Sonic games. He had the potential to become a great hero for the crew, yet the potential was wasted on this garbage game. Same with Mephiles' potential as a fantastic Sonic villain.
i'd say Silver's best appearance was in '06. his portrayal in every other sonic game he appears in is abysmal.

After being released by Shadow, he immediately returns the gift of being trapped in a artifact for 10 years by having him meet Iblis. Then manages to convince Silver and Blaze to kill Sonic.
They looked like as if they were recorded with a motion camera. .3.)
that's the thing with the motion camera thing, the entire thing was done in motion capture
It does move well with Mephiles, in my opinion.

This peice of mephiles from the cracks of time and space is called the time eater.
actually,i thought about it.present mephiles and future mephiles are probably the same, since mephiles traveled to the future too
Heh heh heh.

Super Sullivan that would be epic
Super Sullivan
Woah! Sounds like a very interesting backstory!
actually, that makes me want to come up with an interessting direction for the character:
mephiles as just the matter that we saw in the flashback would be an emotionless mind. no form,no feelings,no memories(obviously. it is technicly a new being). when merging with shadows dark side, that side of shadow is actually the more important part of the mix. he is the real ultimate lifeform,he wants to seek revenge on humanity, not for project solaris, but for gunning down maria. he wants to sway shadow to the dark side, but also wants revenge on him for refusing him in shadow the hedgehog(in this timeline, the darkside of that game never happened and shadow went with being a hero afterall) and for stopping the ark in sa2. he wants to destory this world and wants to create a new one as a newly fused solaris.
"The devil doesn't come dressed in a red cape and pointy horns. He comes as everything you ever wished for. Pray for wisdom and discernment"

So: Considering that, I would call it a little Easter Egg and nothing more.
I was thinking that Rush and Rush Adventure comes after the 06 reset since Blaze wouldn’t have been affected by it after Solaris’s defeat
yeah, the timeline is out of order here. "blue hedgehog" is actually "naive hedgehog" in japanese. it just uses the same word as blue to trick silver and the players. the translator got tricked too tho and thus, that is technicly a mistranslation(i mean,it would have been weird af if silver suddenly said "you mean that naive hedgehog?",but oh well. languagebarriers.)
blaze was born and grew up in crisis city with powers linked to iblis....somehow(was it ever explained how she has firepowers?),then she seals iblis inside herself and gets her existance rewritten to be in the soldimension.
with the timeline resetting, history was changed to make sence of her being there and thus, she was "retroactively reborn"(i have no better term for it) as princess of that dimension. and because of the firepowers she has from iblis, she became the guardian of the solemeralds or something. i never actually played rush and rivals,i just heared that the games exist and eggman nega from the future stuff

However, Takashi Iizuka refutes this.
In general, they themselves do not know the exact answer.
Shadow wouldn't know much about Solaris since he was still captive under GUN
Well, there weren't many, that knew about it to begin with, because it was a Top Secret Project.
+Gerhard H. Than how does rouge know? I'm pretty sure if the kind of your land died they will find out the cause. And if the present in this game is 2006, then this is in 1996 and no information like this is secret (idk if it is tho)
She works for GUN.
You mean "King" right ? They People of Soleanna have heard about the Accident, but I don't think, that they were informed about all the Details [Example: the ARK Incident wasn't completly known for 50 Years].
+Gerhard H. If the kind of your land dies, there must be an investigation conducted and so the public would know
DARK REALMS PRODUCTIONS
But it wouldn't be impossible, that some Guys from the Royal Society try to change some Informations for the Public.
Gotta say, never played the game, but Mephiles' slow and eerie piano theme is super good.
Sonic 06 sucked. They brought such an awesome villain, but the game was terrible. I wish Mephiles will play a much larger role soon, possibly making a comeback.
Mastah Playah Hopefully
+TheUltimateKnucklehead That reminds me of "Hyrule Warriors" somehow.
+Gerhard H. "sonic warriors" would be so cool!
Fun fact: the music that plays in this cutscene ( 19:02 ) is called
"Mephiles's Smile".
And I will never understand why.
Dan Green's evil laugh was on point!
Evil Sounds Deep for Mephiles the Dark
Shadow is threatened by a god yet he still continues on his task, he was pretty awesome in this game
mephiles was my favourite
22:13 Is nobody gonna talk about this transformation?
Why?
*NOW I HAVE ALL THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW AND I WILL UNLEASH MY TRUE GAY POWER*
11:13 "Go on, Shadow! Don't you support gay rights?!"
Theres so much passing and gasp and slow nods and movements you'd think this was an anime...
19:56 how could SEGA think it is a good idea to create a character that looks that derpy??
lolCollol You're right lol
lolCollol >:v
18:32 literally the most badass sonic moment possibly of all time lol
1. If he could convince Shadow to switch to his side, Mephiles wouldn't have
to deal with him and could instead focus on collecting Emeralds.
2. Mephiles wouldn't accomplish anything, if he killed Sonic at the Beginning,
because Elise didn't have any Feelings for Sonic at that Point.
--> She wouldn't cry because of it (By the way: A new Version of 06
should mention, that only Tears caused by Emotions, release Ibliss, just
saying). And I guess, that he chooses Silver to do the Job instead, because
of the first Fight against Iblis.
--> He knew, that Silver would need a long time to kill Sonic. All the Events
(in the meantime) would bring Sonic and Elise closer together, so when
Silver would finally be able to kill Sonic, Elise would release Tears, that
can free Iblis.
1.+2. focused on Mephiles being a Tactician but there is one other Perspective.
3. Even if Mephiles is pure Darkness, he is still showing Emotions, so the
Reason he takes his Time are his Feelings.
--> He might enjoy the Moments, want to let People suffer longer and isn't
feeling like bringing Doomsday so early, or else he loses his Enjoyment.
Maybe he actually is the Type of Person, who is more interessted in the
Way to the Goal, than the Goal itself (at some Points).
But this goes to much into the psychological Direction and this is only a
quick Guess on my Side anyway.
...Yeah I might be thinking too much about that, nerfing Mephiles woud make some Things more easier to write and would create some other Cutscenes, which aren't possible with the Mephiles we have.
+Gerhard H. So about enjoying the suffering and everything..... Basically make him any villain in DBZ/S :P
+BKOOL999 Well, ....I guess so, but Mephiles could enjoy it, without getting killed because of it.
Well the SOnic Team draws a lot of inspiration from DBZ anyway so.. lol
Not exactly seduction, more of attempting to lure him with shadow's own future or supposed future, I kinda thought the immortality would of kepted mephiles alive but since he was mostly the mind and not most of the strength to free himself to prevent himself from dying. He's a destructive little baby
The gameplay may have been bad. But no matter what anybody says, Sonic 06 was an epic game and Mephiles was the ultimate villain!
i agree. despite the fact that everybody said this game sucks, NOBODY EVER said something bad about Mephiles.
Anyone else is seeing this video after witnessing the epic failure that is Infinite? Mephiles is just SO MUCH BETTER!
That team dark arc had so much going on I'd love to see more from that.
8:04 Here is Mephile's gamer pad.
This game had so much potential...
Sonic technically was the iblis trigger. In him dying, elise cried breaking the seal
Bysthedragon
Exactly! :)
I couldn't help but laugh when he said he had the ability to travel through time
THE SUPREME DALEK
Ah, same here! I felt lije Silver or Blaze should have asked "then why are you in this ruined timeline when you can escape easily!?" XD
@14:36 This scene feels like Omega and Mephiles do this every afternoon, and the lack of music just makes it so funny XD
Dead Channel
Yeah, xD
I know it's a video game and all, but that stare at 7:50 just give me the chills! I underestimated Mephiles - he's the best villain in the Sonic series!
Sonic games always have the best stories...hope they continue it
If Shadow got a spin off movie, I want Mephiles as the main villain

@@justarandomguy4873 yes
Nazo is not an oc he was supposed to appear in sonic x as an alternative super sonic design but he was scrapped
12:03 - 19:01
Probably one of the better looking in-game cutscenes of this game.
This was lit. Keep it going 🤘
The main reason I love 06, Shadow and Mephalis’ story is just great and suprisingly well written with all the details about each characters different sequence of events
fun fact: mephiles never blinks at any point, which adds to his already eerie atmosphere
This is the best villain in sonic stories I hope they will bring him back with a horrific back story
“You have no desire for revenge you only crave destruction”
Oh shit he’s got me 16:23
Mephiles is what saved this game and also, seeing this version of dr eggman for the first time, he doesn’t look as bad as I heard he looked.
Admit that all of you came here to hear Mephiles say “IBLIS” at 21:23
how edgy is infinite now with THIS villian?
When Silver and Mephiles meet...
Sonic Black and White confirmed.
