You missed one, when Shadow first enters the White Space, he sees Maria. This was shown off in the trailer, this was before he encounters her again and saves her.
Just like one time he have a tear in Sonic adventure 2 when he Amy what's around with him and then Shadow remember of Maria's final words to tell him to protect the Earth and that's how he got tear of his eyes.

Even I felt the pain shadow must’ve felt knowing that Maria and Gerald were going back to the ARK disaster and what would happen to them. I’d like to think that during the time they were pulled from their own time that they could figure out a way to avoid their fates. Maybe knowing how Shadow turned out would help Gerald find a cure for Maria and prevent him from going insane after seeing that Shadow saved the world again. It would be a branched timeline scenario, but damn, Maria and Gerald deserve a happy ending too
I wish both Gerald Robotnik and Maria will still be alive. I'm just saying if they are crossover of Dragon Ball Z/SUPER maybe they would use the dragon balls so they can bring back to life and Shadow will be happy with them.
