Hi I just got the cloud stinger core, the volume at 100% is a little bit low so is it normal for gaming headphones or there is some issue with my headset?
hi great video I saw hyper x cloud stinger core on amazon on sale for 50% but it said it was xbox and i do pc gaming but will it still work on pc or noo??
Its been like 3 years since the hyperx cloud stinger(the more expensive one) headphone has been released so how does it compare against the current competition like the Jbl quantum 200 or the Logitech g430 etc. Im looking for a gaming headphone for around 50 dollars or 5000 rupees because tech in India is more expensive so please suggest a good pair of headphones for me
I'm a bit late, but the cloud stinger is my preference as I bought it, mainly because it's just cheaper, and the only real difference is which look you prefer :)
If they're both the same price, I'd definitely go for the cloud stinger- as it's generally much more feature-packed than the cloud stinger core. It still works with console fine, so definitely don't hesitate to grab that the offer! Thanks for asking, cya around✌
If you have the budget, then yes- the cloud stinger is better. However, I would stick around for next week’s video, because I’m doing a part two to this video answering your questions more in-depth(let me know if you have more). Hope to see ya there! ✌️
Just a question (maybe a silly one) do they work on PC? because on amazon i saw a question that asks does this work on PS4 and answer from hyperx themselves was a no so just checking here does it work for PC or Laptops?
For the cloud stinger, it should work fine on any platforms, as it has the typical 3.5 mm jack, and a splitter as well, so it works just fine on Pc too.👍 However, with the cloud stinger core (cheaper one), it doesn't have the splitter, and only works with single-3.5 mm jacks.🙄 If you want more info, or have any other questions, then give me them, and I'll answer in the next video as a part two to this one! (to fill in any holes I left in the video!) Hope to see ya there!✌
Hey can i ask your opinion based on between Hyper x cloud stinger and Razer Kraken X... Based on these two headphone, which one is better to hear footsteps and high basses
I personally don't own the Kraken X to tell you the answer for that specifically, but between the cloud stinger and the Cloud Stinger Core, I'd say that the cloud stinger probably has a little bit better sound detection than the core, and mainly due to its' overall larger sound drivers, which is where you should get better sounding high basses from the cloud stinger as well. * For a general estimation, the cloud stinger is probably a little better at this than the Kraken X, and the Cloud stinger core is about on the same level as the Kraken X.* Let me know if this answered your question!✌
Thank you man, I happened to recently order a pair of the hyperx cloud stinger core and was wondering how good it would be. Based on this video they seem pretty okay, but I wouldn't expect too much of such a cheap headset. Although the two cables will be a hassle...
I'm glad I was able to help you with your headset search! Don't be downed by the headset though, it's still basically the younger brother of the cloud stinger, so it still has a good amount of its features and boasts quite an awesome mic.👍 I know I did diss it somewhat this video, but I'm planning on making a pt. 2 to this comparison to fill in any missing gaps. Let me know if you have any questions about the headsets that I can put into the video! Cya around✌
Techtrovert So I have been using these headphones for a couple of days, I gotta admit they are pretty nice although after a while it gets uncomfortable for your ears, but it’s really really good pair of headphones for only 40 dollars
I'm not a gamer, I work at a call center for about 10 hours a day. Which would you recommend for some casual music playing, and long hours on the phone? Thank you, this video got my thumbs up.
If budget isn't an issue, the Cloud stingers are really good for sound quality if you're going to be on the phone for long. However, as far as comfort goes, the core version is smaller and a little lighter, so that may help for hours on call. Your pick, but hope I could help!
I bought stinger core as i need it for everyday basic use and casual gaming and in my country stinger is about 67$ whereas stinger core is about 46$... So i chosed the core version 😁🤘
@@shubham_the__legend Price-wise, I would probably say that both the cloud stinger and the core are better than the 200's, and even in the overall headset build they are, as they come in a metal band. The only positive of the JBL ones is probably the sound quality as JBL is known for this. But if you want anything more than sound quality at a good price, I stick between the stingers. Thanks for asking!
How's the quality of the volume controller on the Stinger? I have the PS4 version of the Stinger core since December and the controller on the cable is a mess, it has like false contact so I need to be really careful to adjust the volume otherwise I will only have sound in one side
Really? That's unfortunate. If you buy the cloud stinger, hopefully, you won't have to worry about any more of those issues though! With the stinger's volume dial, it is pretty precise, easy to reach on the headset (not on the cable), and I can only notice sound coming from one side when I turn the volume down super low but even then I don't hear much at all. 🙃 Hope This helps! 👍
Good question! I get asked this a lot, but I’m not exactly a professional. However, I usually tell people that the cloud stinger core will give you the overall higher quality in sound and clarity, so in my opinion, the cloud stinger should be able to offer more capability, although it technically has no surround sound difference. But, I’d suggest looking into the 7.1 surround sound versions of the headset which can be configured from the links below the video! Thanks for asking!
Is is the Cloud Stinger wired or wireless and will it work if it's wired if you plug it into an Xbox controller? Which has the switch to turn of the mic?
The cloud stinger has built-in mic muting when swiveled, while the core has only a switch to mute it. Both headsets come in wireless versions (should be able to find them using video description links), but they may have other different features, these ones used in the video are the wired ones. Also, yes either headset will work fine if plugged into an Xbox Controller. Let me know if you have any other questions!😀
Yep, I'm pretty sure it will work just fine! The thing the stinger core misses is the adapter for splitting into the two PC ports, but i'd assume if you can get the PC version, that should work just fine as well!
Well, firstly the cloud stinger core 7.1 has surround sound, while it’s typical counterpart version doesn’t. It’s really up to you if you do any sort-of intense direction based gaming, but if not it may not be necessary. Also, if you do get the blue tooth version, then that’s something that’s probably an advantage over the typical cloud stinger core’s tangly wires. Anyways, Let me know if you have anymore questions!👍
I think that if you can afford both, the cloud stinger has a couple of better features for a headset, but the core version works fine for just Xbox only too, also for cheaper.
Does the Hyperx Cloud Stinger HX-HSCS-BK/NA works fine on xbox? I'm concerned about the mic doesn't work or something like that btw im brazilian so im sorry for my english
@@saintraffa7794 Your English is fine with me, I assume you're just talking about the Cloud stinger (not sure about the HX-HSCS-BK/NA part), but that should work fine on Xbox as long as you have a 3.5mm jack to plug it into
Good question! I’d say that either way you go, you’ll probably be great to go, as the steel band in all hyperx headsets is pretty outstanding. But, for a personal pick, the cloud stinger may be better for the job, as is has more flexibility in the earcups with 90 degree rotation, but I don’t think there is a huge problem with either! Let me know which you’d choose!
I don’t know what to say! I couldn’t thank you enough for your kind words, nor can I show how grateful I am to have just nice people like you visit my humble videos! Again, thank you so much!!!👍💯
Another question is can you hear lound an clear where the steps are coming from? Cause I started playing Apex and since my other headset broke I use some phone headphones and they don't really help me much. And since you wear glasses too, do they intervene with anything or do your ears hurt after long sessions because it's so hot outside and I don't have any friends I spend like 98% of my time at my PC my other headphones squished my glasses into my skull so I wanna know about that.If you could answer I would be grateful.
Yeah bro, for sure I can answer for you. I’m not an expert on the footsteps but I get asked this a lot. Generally, both headsets allow you to hear nicely between sounds coming from the left and from the right, and maybe the cloud stinger does a slight better job, but neither comes in full 7.1 surround unless if oh choose that option at checkout. Also, yes both headsets work great with glasses, thanks for asking and let me know if you got any more questions!👍
They're both good for gaming really, just have different builds, an the cloud stinger has larger audio drivers. You can also get either headset in 7.1 surround sound I believe, just peruse the links below the video :)
That's a great question and video idea! I've been getting lots of these about headset comparisons to the cloud stinger, and other variations of it. So make sure to stick around for future videos about all of them,. and possibly yours as well! 👍👍
Wow, only $17? Let me know if you can link them to me. Anyways, they should be great for fps games like the ones you listed above in the sense of a good mic input and decent audio. But, if you really want a competitive advantage, use the links in the video description to get a pair with the 7.1 surround sound built-in for easier direction-based gaming! Let me know any more questions you got, peace!✌
Yeah bro 1k is a pretty good budget for sure. As long as you’re careful, you should be able to get some decent pc parts. Let me know if got other questions, and document the process if you want, I’d love to see a real pc build and feature it on my channel!
Between the two headphones, the cloud stinger it typically the better one overall. This goes the same for the drivers, as the cloud stinger has 50mm drivers, whereas the core only has 40mm, so you will get higher quality sound overall with the normal stinger.
From a pure comfort-standpoint, I'd say that I've never really had a problem wearing glasses with the cloud stinger, and the same seems to go for the cloud stinger core from a quick test that I did with it. I didn't seem to encounter my glasses digging into my head, and both headsets have quite a plush padding. Thanks for asking, and cya around!✌
I don't personally own a PS4, but there is a PS4 version of the core which is the exact same thing, just with a different color theme, so yes it should work fine!
I would say that both headsets have a relatively similar amount of sound isolation, although the cloud stinger does seem to do a slightly better job at isolating outside noises. As for the microphones picking up background noises, you can tell for yourself which you think picks up noises at 2:55, I personally can't decide for you, this was recorded near my laptop, which has a decently loud fan inside.
The cloud stinger core doesn't have a splitter for PC dual ports like the cloud stinger, but you can easily go buy a headset splitter, and then it will allow you to do so!
I know this comment is very late, but I'm still on break - but hope I can still answer for you. Here's my quick take between the two: Both are great headsets for the $50.00 price tag, but the main things to me seem like the Corsair has the surround sound, but with a less feature-ful mic, compared to the stinger's mic, with no surround sound. It's up to you, but just from a glance those are the main differences to me.
If you read the pinned comment above, it should explain this, but simply put: the cloud stinger has better sounds quality. Let me know if you have anymore questions!👍
I haven't done a ton of research as to which one has an actual better microphone, but for the prices, either headset comes with an amazing mic, but you can listen to their comparison in the same conditions at the mic comparison part of the video. Let me know if you have any more questions!✌
I’m not necessarily a “loud listener” but these headphones are definitely loins enough for me. I can even step them on my desk and turn them up to full volume and they work as mini speakers for me, so it should work fine!

I'm not sure about full amount to the surround sound, and which sounds you hear in-game, but I know that both headsets have good left and right sound determination so you should be able to tell which direction to turn to find an enemy. Let me know if you have further questions!✌
Yes! The cloud singer should work fine on any platforms with a 3.5 mm jack, and on Pc as well(comes with a splitter for this). Let me know if you have any other questions!👍
@@Techtrovert hi! Lemme use this chance to ask this. Do you use any video capture card device? If I use a capture card from ps4 to my laptop (obs), would I get the audio from the headset that is connected to dualshock too?
I’m not super experienced in this field as much, the main thing I can say is that on my Laptop I’ve used Obs on it before, and the headset works completely fine with it. I’m not sure exactly how the PS4 capture card would work on laptop as I’ve never tried, and I’m not really sure if I’ve answered your question! Sorry about that, let me know if there’s something I missed.

From what I've seen, both of the earmuffs on the headphones seem to be about the same size if that's what you're asking. I would say that the cloud stinger may have them just slightly larger, but I haven't personally tried swapping them out. I hope that this answers your question, and thanks for asking!✌👍
I think that I'll answer this as one of my questions in the video coming next week! Let me know if you have any other questions you want answered there as well!
If you're asking for the 7.1 surround sound option, in the links in the video description for the core, you should be able to see an option where you get the 7.1 surround sound version, for about $10.00 more, and it comes with a few more features as well.
Well, I'm just really grateful for all of the people who have already subscribed to my channel!💕 If I do ever gain more subscribers, then so be it, but this journey itself has already been an amazing one! Thanks so much for the kind words!!!💯👍

Neither headset is a pair of open-back headphones, if that's what you're asking, and your ears may get a little warm after a few hours of use, but I may have noticed a few holes to help with this on each earcup.
Yes! They work excellently on Xbox, and from what I can tell, if you don't kick them around much, they can last you for a least a good few years! (probably 2-3 at minimum!) Let me know if tu tienes mas preguntas! 👍

@@Techtrovert thanks a lot bruh.. thats help me to convince myself to buy the stinger
@@royalhyeken6566 Awesome! Let me know if you've got anymore questions!
Yup! Glad you like them! Hope you don't mind if I feature this comment in my next vid
I'm a huge fan of your work Mr Bond
Nice! Glad I was able to help you out, and let me know of what you think of the headset, or any other questions you have! ✌️
@@Techtrovert I have a question is JBL quantum 200 better than this one? Core version?
@@shubham_the__legend Price-wise, I would probably say that both the cloud stinger and the core are better than the 200's, and even in the overall headset build they are, as they come in a metal band. The only positive of the JBL ones is probably the sound quality as JBL is known for this. But if you want anything more than sound quality at a good price, I stick between the stingers. Thanks for asking!
How about the sound? Gaming and music
Which one do you think is better for FPS gaming like csgo or valorant? for footsteps. Cloud stinger or the core?
Good question! I get asked this a lot, but I’m not exactly a professional. However, I usually tell people that the cloud stinger core will give you the overall higher quality in sound and clarity, so in my opinion, the cloud stinger should be able to offer more capability, although it technically has no surround sound difference. But, I’d suggest looking into the 7.1 surround sound versions of the headset which can be configured from the links below the video! Thanks for asking!
@@Techtrovert so buy cloud stinger core or just stinger
@@prasmahardhika18 I personally think just the stinger version is better, hope that helps!
Which is better for pc? I'm trying to buy.
I would probably go for the cloud stinger, as it's more built around pc-users.
The same headset has 3 versions: pc, xbox one and ps4. If I buy the xbox version and an adapter, will it work just fine on pc? Like the pc version?
Yep, I'm pretty sure it will work just fine! The thing the stinger core misses is the adapter for splitting into the two PC ports, but i'd assume if you can get the PC version, that should work just fine as well!
@@Techtrovert Yeah, it doesn't come with an adapter, but it's way cheaper than the pc version, and if I just need that thing then it's worth it
@@pedrobonifacino5492 Cool, glad I could help you make the right decision!
hey mate, is the cloud stinger core 7.1 any better than the console cloud stinger core? just bought it and this video is giving me minor regrets lol
@@Techtrovert thanks brother
Would you recomend me the Cloud Stinger or the Cloudx? I only play on xbox one
@@saintraffa7794 Your English is fine with me, I assume you're just talking about the Cloud stinger (not sure about the HX-HSCS-BK/NA part), but that should work fine on Xbox as long as you have a 3.5mm jack to plug it into
what do you this is more durable and will last longer ? cloud stinger or cloud stinger core ?
Good question! I’d say that either way you go, you’ll probably be great to go, as the steel band in all hyperx headsets is pretty outstanding. But, for a personal pick, the cloud stinger may be better for the job, as is has more flexibility in the earcups with 90 degree rotation, but I don’t think there is a huge problem with either! Let me know which you’d choose!
@@Techtrovert thank you so much for your fast response and your explanation 👍 I really appreciate .. I would choose cloud stinger 😍
What are the holes on the cloud stinger more$$
youll be big soon, i could feel it.
Also, yes both headsets work great with glasses, thanks for asking and let me know if you got any more questions!👍
which one is best for gaming and has 7.1 surrounding?
They're both good for gaming really, just have different builds, an the cloud stinger has larger audio drivers. You can also get either headset in 7.1 surround sound I believe, just peruse the links below the video :)
hyperx cloud stinger core wireless 7.1 gaming it works Xbox Series X????
Can you do a review on the new hyper x cloud stinger core 7.1 wireless?
That's a great question and video idea! I've been getting lots of these about headset comparisons to the cloud stinger, and other variations of it. So make sure to stick around for future videos about all of them,. and possibly yours as well! 👍👍
I have noti on and nice setup
Thx dude!
Does it work on pc?
I can get the cloud stinger core for 17$ are they good for fps games like fortnite, pubg, apex

Techtrovert hey do you think I could build a good pc for $1k?
Yeah bro 1k is a pretty good budget for sure. As long as you’re careful, you should be able to get some decent pc parts. Let me know if got other questions, and document the process if you want, I’d love to see a real pc build and feature it on my channel!
bro is there any major sound difference between them or they sound same?
Between the two headphones, the cloud stinger it typically the better one overall. This goes the same for the drivers, as the cloud stinger has 50mm drivers, whereas the core only has 40mm, so you will get higher quality sound overall with the normal stinger.
Noti gang
Are the Cloud stinger core glasses friendly?
From a pure comfort-standpoint, I'd say that I've never really had a problem wearing glasses with the cloud stinger, and the same seems to go for the cloud stinger core from a quick test that I did with it. I didn't seem to encounter my glasses digging into my head, and both headsets have quite a plush padding. Thanks for asking, and cya around!✌
Is the cloud stinger core good on ps4?
I don't personally own a PS4, but there is a PS4 version of the core which is the exact same thing, just with a different color theme, so yes it should work fine!
Which should I buy it under 5000
If you need the budget option, go for the core, but otherwise I'd pick the cloud stinger.
Which one is better at noise Cancelling/isolation and which one picks up background noises easily
Let me know if you have and further questions.👍👍
Can I use the cloud stinger core for pc? Or is it just for Xbox?
The cloud stinger core doesn't have a splitter for PC dual ports like the cloud stinger, but you can easily go buy a headset splitter, and then it will allow you to do so!
Hyperx cloud stinger or corsair hs45 which one i hv to buy plz suggest
I know this comment is very late, but I'm still on break - but hope I can still answer for you. Here's my quick take between the two: Both are great headsets for the $50.00 price tag, but the main things to me seem like the Corsair has the surround sound, but with a less feature-ful mic, compared to the stinger's mic, with no surround sound. It's up to you, but just from a glance those are the main differences to me.
the cloud stinger core is comfortable with glasses on?
Yes it is still very comfortable as it's very adjustable and doesn't squeeze your head too much!
Whoo better?? A sound quality?
If you read the pinned comment above, it should explain this, but simply put: the cloud stinger has better sounds quality. Let me know if you have anymore questions!👍
Is there a difference in the microphones?
I haven't done a ton of research as to which one has an actual better microphone, but for the prices, either headset comes with an amazing mic, but you can listen to their comparison in the same conditions at the mic comparison part of the video. Let me know if you have any more questions!✌
Thank You bro,Nice video,greetings from Colombia :)
Quick question how do I set it up to the Xbox because it’s not working
The headset should just plug into your Xbox controller and auto-setup, otherwise I'd watch tutorials on other steps to setup an xbox headset.
Wich is better turtle beach recon spark or the cloud stinger?
I would google that one.
Is volume good and "loud enough" on both of them?
I’m not necessarily a “loud listener” but these headphones are definitely loins enough for me. I can even step them on my desk and turn them up to full volume and they work as mini speakers for me, so it should work fine!
That was for the stringer, and for the core version, it’s the same but maybe a little qiueter
Is the core only for xbox?! I think i saw it for pc
I do believe that there is a PC version, it should come in white. Either way just make sure to read the product description!

When Playing Fortnite and Cod (Warzone) can you hear footsteps and their direction? Also in fortnite can you hear when they crouch? For Xbox
I'm not sure about full amount to the surround sound, and which sounds you hear in-game, but I know that both headsets have good left and right sound determination so you should be able to tell which direction to turn to find an enemy. Let me know if you have further questions!✌
I'm also having a part two to his video come out this week, so I'll try to answer your question(s) there!
Hi! If I plug hyperx cloud stinger (not core) directly in my ps4 dualshock, would the mic and headset work together?
Cloud Stinger Core's earpad compatible with Cloud Stinger?
From what I've seen, both of the earmuffs on the headphones seem to be about the same size if that's what you're asking. What do you think on the sound?
They both work for the casual gamer/computer user, the 50 mm drivers help the stinger to sound a little better in comparison.
Will I get the 7.1 on my ps4 with the core?
If you're asking for the 7.1 surround sound option, in the links in the video description for the core, you should be able to see an option where you get the 7.1 surround sound version, for about $10.00 more, and it comes with a few more features as well.
