I did this recently and they reset the computer and I lost all my presets, never again. This was at BMW, it's good you have an honest dealer. Do you think there was any bias from your relationship and knowledge with cars with how well you were treated?
I dont think it affected how I was treated in terms of friendliness, but it did affect what they tried to sell me. The service writer literally said "you can do most of this yourself so don't worry about it."
you bring your car to the dealership for maintenance.. they take your car out of your sight completely.. so they can purposfully screw something up.. to either milk the warranty. or milk you.
I used to really like the Nissan dealership where I used to live because they had a huge window to the shop. You could watch everything they did from the waiting area.
Hey, I have the same car. Unrelated to the video but I have an issue where I hear a very temporary rattle noise when I shift into R and D stopped. Not sure but it sounds like it’s coming from my transmission. The car drives perfectly. The noise is what’s bothering me. The temporary “rattle” noise also happens when I slowly come to a stop or I slow down a lot. Any ideas or if you’ve ever had to deal with this too?
I've heard some people have issues out of the trans. I havent had any YET knock on wood. Any time I hear a rattle, I check exhaust first. Bolts, hangers, heat shields, all that stuff.
Thanks for the hasty reply, thing is the car shifts and drives fine on its own. It really is just the rattle sound. I will definitely see if it could be any of those stuff. I am bringing my car to a mechanic soon, hopefully to fix this.@@Mylifeinthepits
