The layering technique will give the piece a nice dimension. It’s very difficult to capture that on camera but I promise the faux opal looks better in person!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please ALWAYS use resin with proper precautions including wearing proper PPEs (glove, mask, respirator etc) AND working in a well ventilated space. I recommend getting a hold of the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) info that every resin company has available to the public (by law). This has all the info about the resin you are using including the precautions you need to take and first aid care. Watch my resin safety video for more info: • RESIN SAFETY | Importa...
Supplies I used were purchased from many places including my local craft stores, Etsy, Ebay, Amazon, Sophie&Toffee, Miniature Sweets, and Aliexpress

the ring at the end is so gorgeous!
Ty! My favorite opal technique so far! Hoping to try tonite!🥰
Yes!! I’ve watched several tutorials trying to find a good way to get real results. Thank you so much. This is beautiful. I need that gorgeous powder you were rubbing on!
WOW, it looks just like the real thing! Amazing job.
The most beautiful tutorial I see!! Thank you excellent talent!!
This is well done because you did multiple layers. Beautiful!
These are so realistic looking! Beautiful. 😀
Wow extremely talented, what beautiful handmade stones!!!
This is thee best faux opal I’ve seen!
I like adding glow pigments to mine for the pearly mid-last layer. Same effect as these but they glow as well.
Wow 😯 beautiful cant wait to try this!
They’re so beautiful 👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That's gorgeous 😍 Thanks!
Beautiful, Well Done 👏
Thanks for the response!
I normally put videos on double speed and turn down the volume but this_was_so_relaxing. Loved all of it thank you x

Probably the best resin opal stimulant on RUclips.
Great technique !
Beautiful!
I love opal and have always felt particularly sentimental about it since my grandfather gave me one a few months before he passed... it got lost when we moved, so I think I will try this out! I love love love your channel, thank you for having informative videos!
Libby that is very sweet! Thank you for your comment 😊
I’m going to try this tonight. Lol beautiful
Beautiful
Stunning
Great video composition ♡
Damn... Love the video, the music... And most of all love the resin pieces
I love it! And I love the safety statement in your description! So many people are using resin without proper ppe 😖 and working in their kitchens around children ☹️
I can’t wait to try this technique! It’s beautiful!!!
Brilliant!
Pretty, once cured if u paint the base with black it looks like fire opal x
Beautiful💖✨
Lovely thank you ☺️
Inspiring! 🥰
Wow! What an incredible technique ! Thank you for sharing. I need to do this. Oh by the way, I play music like this when I am making my crystals!
Muy bonitas y si que son realistas
So pretty.
amazing
These are beautiful! Im very interested in where you got the ring at the end? I'd love to make one! Thank you, I'm so happy I found you 💗
This is perfection.
Wonderful
KreativRose By Anja Rosenow thank you!
Those look amazing! Love the opal because I used to get used car parts at Opal's junk yard. (true story)
The ring at the end, how do you get the mold for that and the ring? I want to make a ashes ring for it. Thanks so much
Do you happen to know what mould you used for the beautiful ring at the end?
It looks so good!! I have a friend who loves opal I think I might have to try this!
Elphie-Stjames yay! Thanks for all your sweet comments on my videos! 😍💕
Crafter's Delights by Amy thank you for the awesome videos! I’ve learned loads from your videos and they are always fun to watch!
Beautiful! What are the gel sticky pads named and where can we buy them? So neat!
Thank you! It’s nano tape!
Beautiful! I just bought my stuff but I am finding multiple cure times. How long is the recommended cure time? My UV lamp is 150W
I would suggest to use whatever wattage and cure time is recommended by the resin you’re using! Sometimes using a wattage that is too strong can create heat spikes in the resin causing weird things to happen
That uv resin won't stick to the mold???
My birthstone 😍😍😍Can you do a video of making silicone molds of guaged tunnels and plugs for stretched ears. I want to custom make my own but I can't get the silicone to work with the teeny tiny threads for tunnels with screw on backs and I find the saddle shape difficult and painful to put in my ears..I do have a single flare set but the metal is so thin the silicone falls back into itself when I remove the plug:( maybe I'm doing something wrong with the silicone. Or if you know of where I can purchase the molds I need for making my own. With resin epoxy??? I haven't had any luck finding them.
I’m sorry. I have zero knowledge regarding plugs and gauge tunnels.
Wow.. the final result looks like.. real opal!! I love the ring you made. The UV resin you used.. is not sticky? I always prefer to use 2part epoxy resin because I do not like the sticky feeling from UV resin.
{씬디짱}'s Craft Town thank you! The Padico resin is not sticky, it has a squeaky feel to it. If you want a finish similar to 2 part resin, I recommend the HandCrafter brand
@@AmyMade great info. Thx a bunch😘😘😘
Some UV resin has a thin, sticky layer when the piece is completely cured; it’s normal. Simply wipe it with 70% alcohol - for jewelry I use alcohol pads.
Wouldnt it have been easier to make it in a deeper mold and work in it than adding on the stone little by little?
No, it’s a different way of layering and this method gives the best opal effect
How did you get it in the ring if you dont mind me asking, i just love that amd would love one for myself, i lost the one my mom gave to me years ago
I simply glued the cabochon and closed the prongs👍🏻
@@AmyMade thank you, your so talented and i hope to become just as good as you one day
Thank you!
does uv resin stick well to plastic? is is waterproof?
TheDollPlace it doesn’t stick well to plastic and yes it’s waterproof
Do you make your settings or buy them?
I bought them!
Lovely.... but Why it need many layers?
To create dimension from the Mylar glitter so it would look more realistic.
You will eat shattered opal irregular cut you tell me please tell me this
Please don’t eat them. They’re inedible
So thats how fake opals are made
And these smaller peices are much moremote believable than really big cabachonss.
looks like something from Claire's
TOO THICK!
Brilliant!
