How We Address Peeling Paint Basics

This is how we address loose and flaking paint from previous coatings that have now begun to loose their adhesion. Over time the first or original coating breaks down, chalks, and becomes "dusty". If not properly sealed before being painted again the second coat of paint just lays on top but doesn't properly bond to the wall. As that first coat continues to deteriorate underneath it causes problems with any additional coatings that have been applies over the years. Short of stripping the walls we address the existing issues as discussed here to achieve a proper bond for our layer of paint.
