Meet the Joolca GottaGo | Modular separating portable toilet - Chemical | Bag | Composting

- Separating solids from liquids, the Joolca GottaGo Toilet gives you all the options. It’s superior to other chemical toilets in that it doesn’t fill up the solids tank with urine and flush water. It lets you use a bag when there are no dump points. It can be used as a composting toilet. It’s airtight and leakproof, doing away with the smell. And it’s a whole lot easier and safer to empty than a standard camping toilet.
Goes to show, our engineers really do some of their best thinking on the toilet

I'll buy one just so you keep making products that have these great adverts :)
Let's go!
Best ad ever. And, I'm gonna buy one of these, ASAP! I've literally been struggling between the idea of a cassette toilet and making my own composting toilet with a 5 gallon bucket for my overland setup. You just solved my "gotta go" problem! Cheers!
Bought mine from the website last night. With the early bird pricing, it was a no-brainer!
We can't wait for you to give it a try!
@@Joolca I'm holding it in until it arrives!.....Uh, I'll try my hardest. ;P
😂
Best. Advert. Ever.
Great mix of science and humor that I’ve seen in a while!
Definitely upgrading to one of these toilets. Why wouldn’t you?!? 😝 .
😂😂😂😂
Woohoo!🥳
The price is surprisingly reasonable, I thought it was going to be another $500 toilet + shipping from Europe.
I know it's pretty reasonable. That foot stand on their website for the shower, however, is a bit expensive 😬
Hands down the best video on portapotty I've seen. Makes me just wanna buy one. Now, if it just comes with an ultra comfortable backpack-styled shoulder straps...
🙌
Ordered mine the day the sale started. Besides a small generator, this was the final piece that I needed for my overland kit. I already have the Nomad kit, 2 room ensuite, and shower base. I looked at compost, chemical, and bucket systems, but knew this was coming, so I waited. So glad I waited...order this and both cartridges, just in case. Thank you, Joolca. Too bad I will get it well after camping season starts, but hey, bears shit in the woods today, right?
😂
OK you handled those delicate matters with great humor. I'll check it out!
Love the Joolca videos!
great invention and thanks for the humor aswell xoxo
Definitely going to buy 1 I hate long distance walks to the main toilet facilities during camping thanks 😊
Love it! Thank you for this!!
Glad you loved it!
Fantastic Ad 😂 love it!!
That’s some funny shit. Ordered mine. Will be on the boat and at camp. Winning!
Love it, great advertisement and summary :)
This is badass you guys. Fun ad too!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant ad. And really great product. My order is in!
Great ad!
🙌
well done JOOLCA!
🙌
Great ad Joolca. Live it 😂
It’s on my shopping list
I mean Love it 😊
Glad you love it! 🙌
I love the commercial❤❤❤
Glad you love it! 🚽
I'll buy it just because you made me laugh
Couple questions for use on a boat: Anyway to secure the base (obviously important on a boat), and in regards composting, could you not use a combo of the bag with the composting medium so that it is all "one & done" when it comes time for disposable?
If you buy compostable bags than problem sorted
Hey there! The toilet mount is still in the works, and we'll update our website once everything is all set! The bag cassette also doubles as compost. So you can switch them up when there is a need. 🙂
What is the measurement of the handle on the right side of the gottago when you open it to poop? I already have a cabinet for my porta potti but I would like to pre order it.
Good question! I'll ask the team for more info. 🙂
I hope your product is as well made as your advert 🤞🏻
It should! 🙌
Is the color of the toilet ones shown on the email. I was hoping it was going to be the dark grey😢
Yup! We'll rock light grey for now. 🙏
Ah I did enjoy the humor 😜
😉
What’s the recommended bag size? Love the ad and the product!!!
You can go with any medium-sized biodegradable bags. 🙂
@@Joolca I'd recommend compostable bags instead of biodegradable bags, biodegradable bags can still break down leaving plastics in the environment
That’s some good shit right there!
Really good 🚽!
Does the toilet come with a base where it can be fixed inside the vehicle as to not move around permanently. Self contained vehicles must have a fixed toilet soon in NZ. I do like this toilet though.
It's in the works! We'll update our website once everything is in place. 🙂
If you screw some angle aluminum to the floor..and have it attached to the toilet sides by some strong foam double sided tape. That should work. The type of strong tape sogn writers use. You can get similar at bunnings etc
Will this be available in white? I thought I’d seen them in white on your website. Thank you
That must be the prototype. Most participants chose light grey so that's what we are rocking right now. We'll update our website in the future if we have plans to release one in white! 🙂
Thank you for you reply, the white looked really nice and very modern, I really think you should offer both as it matches so many camper shower/ toilet cubicles… plus it makes it look more like your toilet at home.
@@Joolca
the only question I have is.. if you lean back will you break the seat top
Nope, the lid is designed to safely snap off if pushed too far back!
I bought one. Whats the chances these will go earlier than July?
Oh, sorry it's hard to guarantee. 🙏
Hi, is there a seal or membrane for the urine container to prevent smell?
Hey there! It doesn't. However, we added an extra cap to seal the urine container when not in use. 🙂
@@Joolca ok so the design requires manual shutting to prevent smell, which is perfectly fine as long as it is easy to do.
That's right! And yes, it's pretty easy to do!
Did I miss where you “go” to order this ?
If you drop down the dialogue/menu under the video, (by clicking on the "v" down arrow and expanding, or clicking "more"), there's a link to the joolca website. Hope this helps!
how about a joolca lifpo4 battery
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll take note of this!
😂😂😂love the ads

Show how to empty urine. Does it have valve too?
Hole kinda small. Ur gonna get poop all around the hole and have to clean it or itll smell. Doesnt matter if u have valve. The residual poop arouns the hole gonna smell.
U should offer a liner so poop hits the liner and then altogether slips into the hole.
Smart idea on the liner 🤙🏻
The website has a ton of in depth videos on this toilet (how to empty, etc). in case you're interested! Hope that helps!
Large coffee filter.
I thought the hole looked too small for a compost/ separator type toilet. Every other one I’ve seen had a larger hole.
Apart from that I thinks it’s really good, but that hole size definitely concerns me.
@@UnitedElectric YES
When is product going to be available
We'll begin shipping July 2024! 🙂
If you use it as a compost toilet (into wood chip etc) the hole looks too small to allow you to poo without it hitting the side of the bowl before it falls in to the bucket below.
So that means you’ve go to clean the bowl with some kind of liquid every time your use it which seems to miss the point of a dry toilet.
If I’m completely wrong please tell me, but the hole for the poop much smaller than every other separator toilet I’ve seen.
Other than that concern I think your toilet looks great.
I hope you’re going to say I’m wrong and it’s been tested to not hit the bowl before it falls in to the bucket below
Hi there! The solid opening is 100 H x 90 W mm (3.9 x 3.5 inch) and you're right, you'd need to wipe it with toilet paper (using the poker stick) and keep it clean by spraying a small amount of your preferred disinfectant or a simple water and vinegar solution. 🙂
I was hoping I was wrong as the toilet looks great but having to clean poop from the bowl every time is not good.
If the hole had been made bigger with a straight drop to the container below then you wouldn’t need to clean off poop from the bowl, this is a major oversight and such a shame as everything else looks great.
If that’s redesigned then I think it will be more popular, (especially if you have kids, you’d have to clean away their poop too) but with the current design it’s a no from me …sorry!! @@Joolca
every porta toilet has this "problem". Just gotta have a spray bottle handy. @@troytrojac
Hi @@pianok6626, as a porta pottie I agree that this is great because they often use water to flush anyway, but as a dry/composting toilet you don’t use any water/liquid in the solids area, and that’s what prevents the smell.
The design of the hole in a compost toilet allows for the poop to drop without making any mess.
So as a wet toilet this is brilliant but as a dry/composting toilet I don’t think it’s so good, which is a shame as I think that it’s a brilliant design apart from that one (quite important) thing.
Can someone, anyone who had purchased one of these units, please do an honest review from personal experience
Thank you

I was really hoping I was wrong about the design of this toilet as it looks great but having to clean poop from the bowl every time is not good.

I'm highly skeptical that having a poo pushing stick and spray bottles is preferable to a flushing toilet. Who wants a stick with poo on the end hanging from the side of a toilet. Not to mention, if you stow it in your car, you now have to figure out where to stow a poo stick...Seems like an odd design choice. I'll have to wait and see how the reviews shake out. An additional suspicion of mine is with regard to younger children. It seems unlikely that a two hole system would be easy to maintain. Again, I'll have to wait and see.
I appreciate the feedback and understand what you mean. The idea behind this is we want to separate solids from liquids (mixing these causes odour to develop). To clean the toilet, we recommend wrapping the poker stick with toilet paper to make it less messy and dumping it together with the solid waste. This is a new product and we're keen to hear more feedback! 🙂
@ would like to see development of a multi use, multi function cassette (one size fits all so to speak) So it covers all 3 options without the need for a spare cassette
@@Joolca Thanks for the reply; we really enjoy all of our other Joolca products. I thought about wrapping it in tp too as I considered how the push stick would actually cleanly work. Since it's a new concept to deal with our most dirty business, I guess I'll have to wait and see how it work for people IRL. Seems like the TP would stick to the stick with a bit of moisture. Then you have to try and grab a corner of the paper and hope it doesn't rip as you unstick the stick. I don't know, I suppose you all would have run it through appropriate tests though. Still sounds like risky business. Again, I'll wait and see on this one. We dig the hot tub though :)
That makes sense! I'll share this with the team!
@Joolca the best solution it will be to make a cover type (paper) to cover the whole poop area and when you finish just push it inside the hole!
And more money for you for the replacements....
Washington poos 😂
Dude, a little TMI so I'm out!
