- Well, you love your realistic Planet Coaster parks, so let's do another one. Welcome to ChachoLandia: A cross between Cedar Point, Thorpe Park, Dorney Park, Carowinds and Energylandia. Opened by Cedar Fair in the UK in 2015, we are building with a bigger budget!
This week, we add in our first rides and a kids coaster! Plus we install Burgz and generally bring the park to life! Welcome to Nerdoland!
Using realism I’ve learnt from my experience of working for a real-life theme park company and over 4000 hours of Planet Coaster play time. Using true-to-life principles, we walk through each stage of the build reasons why things are built in a certain way- as well as some top tips on how these were achieved too by pulling them apart for you to see. What if Cedar Fair opened a park in the UK? Would it look like Alton Towers? Thorpe Park? Or would it take on the form of more American parks like Cedar Point? Canada's Wonderland? Or would it be more themed like DollyWood, Legoland, Busch Gardens or SeaWorld? Oh, and don't forget Six Flags too! What about China? I hear Flying Kiss theme park in China is a good one too! Well, one thing is for sure, realistic Planet Coaster parks don't come much more realistic than this and let's be honest, other Planet Coaster Let's Play or Planet Coaster gameplay videos won't give you the real reasons why things are as they are. Where do you place rides, rollercoasters, shops, paths, plazas, car parks, entrance areas, tickets, turnstiles, maintenance sheds and so on? I'll tell you where as we up the Planet Coaster Realism game! This is more than just a Planet Coaster Tutorial; this is a Planet Coaster best park ever!' Just so you know, my realistic series uses Planet Coaster Sandbox. It's time to get Planet Coaster real! Episodes with rollercoasters also have rollercoaster povs too. after staring at the entrance sign for a while, I'm now hoping that there will be a massive B&M hyper in the back of the park, with the words 'ChachoLandia' on the first airtime hill

Ahh, thank you so much! I think I'm going to be using my catchphrase quite a lot on this park.. It's been fun to build so far! I just hope I can keep it going lol

It amazes me every time at just how much foliage changes everything.. This area just literally sprung to life when I added it all.. I don't know why I'm surprised, it has always been the way! haha
Now you need to go even further and do all the underground pipe work 😂😂😂 I litteraly love this series
I did in Raygate Lake.. to an extent.. But I've since learned to conserve piece count... If the game was kinder on resources, I totally would :D

I feel like the front coaster should be a huge 20+ Mill dollar, some record breaking coaster that hugs the parking lot and dominates the skyline. I feel like the park would do something like this to draw in the guests, since it is a new competitor in the UK theme park world. The kiddie area looks great, although I dont like the ink on the ground. But that is just my taste. Cant wait what you do next!
hehe.. the ink is literally in replacement of the fact that we have no official characters or things to use in a kids area, otherwise we would have statues etc... It is a little like the paw prints and rocks in the jungle area of Thorpe.. They're hideous, but seems to work..
Yes, whatever coaster wins the vote will be a monster installation... even the Mega-Lite if that wins. Theme etc at the mo is undecided, but it should be a grand coaster to make a statement.

Oh, there will 100% be a wing coaster. Probably not going to win the poll this week, but I absolutely LOVE wing coasters. You bet there will be one :)
Hi Nerdcacho! I realised that you car parks are a little small considering the size of the parks you are creating and this can dampen the realism slightly. As a suggestion, why don’t you do a multi story car park on you next mega build so you still have the same park size but more parking. I really think that this will take the already amazing realism to another level!
Have you watched any of the car park videos where I explain the golden algorithm for car park generation? All of my parks use the same algorithm as every other UK park, so I can assure you the car parks are the correct size. And just for the record - a multi story car park is less realistic than one that is too small...
@@Nerdchacho sorry , I understand the golden rule, however the parks just seem HUGE. This may be due to how it seems like builders spend so little time on the car parks compared to the rest of the park. is there any way you (or I for that matter) could make a realistic multi story?

This is super neat and I love the grade changes you have! I’m a Civil Engineer actually and looking at those retaining walls near the swinging ride you would have to retain those pretty well (thick walls) since you are reducing the lateral soil retaining forces so I’m happy you mentioned it!
WOOO!!! I mean, the game isn't perfect in that respect, but it is at least accounted for.. and now we have an actual engineer to back me up! :)
Great video and great content! I've been playing rct3 and recently planet coaster for over 10 years now and your work and how you play the game really represents me and inspires me to keep playing and making my parks to look as realistic as possible, keep it up!!!
Awesome!!! Well hopefully we can keep you here to continue to inspire you! Sounds like we are similar in experience.. I was RCT3 from the day it was released right to the launch of the PlanCo alpha.. I was bad at RCT3 though.. haha

And yes I started playing rct3 when I was really young, now I'm in college studying architecture kind of because of these games hahaha rct3 it's still my fav game but I recently started playing PlanCo and your videos have been great to adapt to the game and getting inspiration, keep it up and greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Around 8:40 you are talking about the stools overlooking tables in Burgs - I just want to say I have been in fast food places with the same set-up. Especially the closer you are to big cities like Chicago.
Oh absolutely.. we have them here too.. and it is dead creepy!! :D
There is a mod for planco that gets rid of the in game bathroom, food stall, and station buildings so that you can fully custom do it yourself. The only visible thing would be the person selling the food.
It doesn't work on my PC; it removes restraint, train and track textures... and.. if it did any-one who downloads the park ALSO has to have the mod installed for it to work, otherwise the game crashes...
Same with the "remove track limits and element restrictions" mod too
This park looks amazing so far. I would love to see a modern wooden coaster like wickerman in this park
Something LIKE that would certainly have a place in this park. Trouble is, it is close to Alton, so we couldn't copy the idea.. but I'm sure there would be an alternative theme with a similar coaster that could work..

The difference some trees make to the park, loving the position of the sundail reminds me of Drayton manor. My favourite thing about this park so far is definitely the variation in height, not just keeping it a flat peice of land that wouldn't be realistic. I'd love to see that mumbo jumbo style coaster that's in the game, forgot what the coaster type is called but it's something very different
Yeah!!! I got Drayton vibes too.. That was sorta why I wanted to have either that or the screaming swing there.. Big, imposing entrance ride..

Will you ever consider using an IP to theme a ride too? Or even using the standard planco ghostbusters/back to the future scenery?
I would LOVE to use an IP if companies were little children about their images etc.. The only one I can really get away with is LEGO under their Fair-Play Policy.. Maybe I'll "do a Gardaland" and open a LEGO attraction.. :)
Any Family/kids focus area should have a central restroom since kids usually can't hold it as long as an adult could.

It will do. It'll be down by the carousel when I extend out that way. I did forget to tell people that in the Ep (it was in a section I re-recorded)

Absolutely love the work and your attention to detail is fab. The only thing with the pendulum ride is that the exit goes straight onto the main path, would this not be more realistic to have another exit line so that it slows people down as they merge into the larger crowd and you don’t create a choke point? Just a suggestion for the old realism!
Thanks so much! The short answer to your question is nope... The slightly longer one being that this path area outside of park open and close wouldn't be that busy, so having it exit straight onto the main path would be OK.. The exit is also on a slight angle too, so it is sorta off-set from the main trunk :)
Is that a confetti blower in the "Showtime" theatre? Is that part of the vintage pack?
It is, yes.. but not vintage. It is in the base game under SFX "other" :)

Build Like A b&m hyper coaster
I haven't ruled out a hyper, giga or strata yet.... ;)
Can you build a water coaster as there is no water coasters in the uk and if your building a realistic park inspired by uk it would be cool to be the first uk park with a water coaster
Trouble is.... if we are dealing with realistic UK, we don't have them for a reason.. Best we have is Tidal Wave at Thorpe or Hydro at Oakwood, so, maybe something similar...

Swift Eagles, Luna Autos, Wendigo, Corallis, Giant Carousel and whatever the Balloon one is called (Aeronauts is it?)
The Swift Eagles and Carousel are un-nanmed at the moment because I've not committed their positioning yet..

Am I wrong that I don't see fire hydrants in your parks?
There's one by Cosmic Cow and there's an industrial fire hose in the maintenance area by the entrance. We don't have your American style hydrants here.. We have them hidden within walls and floors with a yellow sign that has a black H. I've not put them in properly as yet because I need to know how big the park is and its layout before I can work out the fire strategy..

Yeppers. I don't think it was a DLC... within the Ambient section of SFX you can find bees, fireflies, butterflies and normal flies. Come to think of it, it might have been Studios...
After your finished can you send this park to Channel 5 gaming as he does park spotlights. If you want you can check him out but I think if you send this to him it would help your channel
