I have «the old one» with the TITANIUM engraved on the side. I have never had any problems or issues with that or no AR. I just love this beautiful watch. In all kind of weather conditions, up into the mountains or by the sea.
I love it too. It’s one of those I’ll never sell. Gorgeous dial!
This is a great watch. Agree on your appreciation of the dial. I bought the blue dial model and think it is beautiful. Titanium is light and the finish looks sharp. Love the strap! It is a very comfortable watch. The quality of this watch combined with the price point makes this a must have. A+
I want the blue too
The 42 is great!❤
I just purchased one today ( June 19, 2024) from Johmashop for $745.00 shipped. I wanted a simple, quality watch without a date window.
Did it ship same day?
@@devonm301 Shipped today, June 21, 2024.
You are crazy in the nicest way. The AR coating is really bad as years down the road it will wear out, this way you will have the watch pass it down to your kids and it will look like the day you bought it. Really nice watch and the best part is sapphire crystal with no coating.
Well I haven’t sold it if that tells ya anything.
I got it since few months: it's an amazing "everyday watch", I do appreciate the light weight BUT the strap is a real crap, just gets spotted with anything and it's not robust at all. I promptly replaced the strap with an appropriate one and now this lovely watch it's almost always on my wrist! :)
Wow. Haha I love the strap. But it’s suede so yes no water at all! Not really field watch material right?
I've had a Hamilton Khaki Auto Titanium on my wrist for several years, I don't need another watch!..
42?
I like the manual wind version. It also has an 80 hour power reserve. I like it because the 24 hour numerals are slightly larger.
and it's a heck of a lot less $$$. I just can't wear a 38 but I know they have the 42 now as well.
I agree. This is one of the best designed watches in Hamilton’s lineup. Aside from the text, they did the dial right by eliminating the date. But, the lack of ar coating does ruin it imo
I just wish it was a 40. Otherwise you’re right
@@greginaustinTX rewatched this vid. Still agree, one of the best looking khaki field watches. They came so close to perfection. A 39 or 40mm case, 46-47mm lug to lug, translucent ar coating, a fully lumed, non ghosted seconds hand, and a closed caseback would have made this perfect.
@@Ferien7 oh gosh. Agree! I mean that wouldn’t been my perfect watch!
Can you demo super-luminova? because my this watch only shine hour hand、minute hand、second hand,NOT time scale. i don't understand what happened.
That's a beautiful field watch. I love the use of titanium. It's light, tough and feels nice. It's a superior metal for watch cases. The sapphire crystal not having AR is fine with me. AR eventually starts to wear off and the crystal then looks awful. A screw down crown would have been nice. I think more importantly, it should have some level of crown protection. It's not a deal breaker though. It would have been nice if Hamilton had included a date complication. It looks great and is a very handy function. It's included on Hamilton's 44mm stainless steel, *H70625533* model. It doesn't infringe on the classic military field watch look. In fact, I think it compliments it. Having both the day and date, would be over the top and ruin the classic look. Not having the date complication, could be a deal breaker for me.
Appreciate your comment! I just ordered a 38mm khaki field mechanical. Comes in tomorrow. Look for a video on that soon
I just bought the 42mm in the green dial
Awesome! I am seriously thinking about the 38 but I just know it’s gonna look silly on me.
They also have a green dial in 42
There,s a 38mm titanium with an orange tip on the seconds hand wish they did that in 40-41mm.
oh yeah I've seen that one! it looks a little darker that's the only reason I haven't thought of that one.
What wrist size do you have? Thank you.
7 1/4
lacks a screw down crown. I still love mine
Same
Something's not right. I emailed Hamilton after watching this video.
I asked them this exact question:
"Does the Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium 42mm with modelnumber H70545550 still got the "TITANIUM" engraving on the side of the case, or is it updated to match the newer releases without the engraving (and possible other changes)?"
And Hamilton responded with:
"Thank you for your email and the interest you have in the Hamilton collection.
I confirm that the reference H70545550 still has the TITANIUM engraved case.
At present, we have no plan to change this reference."
That’s not correct. Watch anyone else’s videos. Random Rob, etc. that’s strange. Even on their website the Titanium is gone.
@@greginaustinTX Random Rob's 2 year old video also has the TITANIUM engraving. And if you look on the official Hamilton website, the second picture of this model reveals the TITANIUM engraving on the side.
@@kristofdelint-wouters1980 man I swear I’ve seen this over and over again. Read the Hodinkee article The New Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium. New lume, new case, titanium engraved removed. I dunno what to say. There’s def a discrepancy. Also watch Brent Miller Time video. Also I’m looking on Hamilton web site. There are no photos of the side of these cases anywhere to compare.
@@kristofdelint-wouters1980 also see Teddy Baldasarre video. No Titanium. My mistake Random Rob has not done an updated version video.
@@greginaustinTX I watched a few more video's now, still can't find something on this exact model number H70545550 without the TITANIUM engraving. This model number is a 2020 release, together with a black PVD coated one, those were the 2020 titanium releases, both 42mm. Most videos talk about the NEW 2022 titanium releases, and none of them are showing this model number. Please give me 1 exact link to back up your video about this exact model number because I can't seem to find it.
No Screw-Down Crown! Complete Deal-Breaker for Me.
I understand. But it’s one of the reasons I like this watch because I enjoy fiddling with the crown throughout my day hah
Looks great. For me, the only negative is the exhibition case back. It shouldn’t have one with a workhorse finished movement. No one wants to see it, keep it hidden. Otherwise, a fantastic watch.
fair enough, I like seeing the movement sometimes but I don't like when it adds to thickness which is almost always the case. Thanks for watching!
I have no use for it on a watch like that. On some of my really old ones like Wylers tho it is nice because the parts are finished so nicely. Also I have an Omega 'jumbo" made in 1949 it is actually a 36mm and it has the last Omega wind mechanism... metal parts are contrasting and have some real fne work on em
Why this watch is so cheap? ,it sounds so great
Haha I dunno but $949 retail isn’t cheap to me! :-)
This is an amazing watch for the price. Hamilton killed it with this model.
Got s Hamilton 'Thinomatic. A little small but I hate giant watches. I like old and interesting watches my Seamaster is maybe 25 years old now. That is the most expensive I have owned. it is a 38 mm.. Recently my son got me a 1949 Omega 'Jumbo... it is the last of Omega wind ups... Runs great. Looks cool.. thin... light.. Perfect size really. Over the years I haver somehow kinda sorta bought a lot of old watches. mostly Wyler and Accuton only the later versions are big enough. The old ones are very cool womens watches tho IMO old vs new? Old is almost always lighter and less flashy but more intersting to me. New? They have better crystals and... the will glow all night My old seamaster is readable all night long. wish I knew what it is Omega puts on the hands and I could buy it Also? the bands are almost always superior to tjhe old ones. even tho it was neat you could buy sharkskin and crocodile for not much
Hey thanks for the info. That's interesting. Haven't actually tried the Thinline but I do have a Jazzmaster quartz and that is thin enough for me. I'm trying myself to branch out from just divers and field watches. Been actually wearing my Casio's and G-Shocks a lot
Мутный механизм. Стекло - дрянь. Но, - часы интересные. В наличии лишние деньги - можно купить.
What is so special with that watch
What’s special about any field watch? Most have no character. I dig the hands, titanium, the band, the lumed numerals, 80 hour power reserve, and it’s Swiss. What’s not special about it?
@@greginaustinTX i don't know what that is , but watch looks Nice classic .
@@greginaustinTX but a smart watch have a lot of more things and it cost $ 200
@@Chris_ck85 Ha! A smart watch?
@@greginaustinTX Spot on.
Yea, Hamilton is too lazy & cheap to put on Quality AR Coatings. It's a Shame because I really want to Love this watch, but the Glare on the Cristal and No Screw-Down Crown would Bother Me Every Time I wore it. I bought a "Vaer" Field Watch instead. Up Your Game Hamilton!
I had a Vaer quartz. Loved it! Yeah I went to try on some Hamilton this past week. Tried the Murph. That watch would be so awesome with AR
