Well, he doesn't exactly run into Tea or Riddles level lol. So it is super interesting to watch. I feel like even though he was getting smoked, you could see the immediate next match he seemed to be playing more serious after learning that the Kazuya was Riddles. Seems like top players are never really trying their hardest (at least not consciously) until facing another top player.

I could never do that. I get 3 stocked and I put down the controller and I scream in frustration. It's really humiliating and I don't have the emotional maturity to handle it.

Being good is half the battle: Improving is the other half.
Wizzy being impressed that a random Kazuya was "doing everything right" shows that Kazuyas that get 0 to deaths constantly are very rare. Whether Kazuya is busted or not at least people have to respect Riddles' craft.

I’ve been practicing a lot of kazuya recently due to inspiration from the way you play, and I’ve actually been able to perform the electric wind god fist as of today. I can’t do it on a whim like you’re able to yet, but if I use a demon god fist and buffer the input, I can get the electric nearly every time. It feels so good to finally somewhat figure it out!

Smash has 2 frames of leniency compared to Tekken for Ewgfs, I've never played smash but a tip for In putting it would be your attack input (in Tekken its called 2 idk ehat smash uses for electrics) but F n D,DF+2 your down should hit forwards in a rolling motion at the same time you do your 2 (like the input to do an electric) practicing it like this will mean you can consistently do it from any state :)
Practice in slow motion in training first then you’ll get it consistently

Try it in Tekken, if you do it there you can die ultra happy.

I'm pretty sure the combination of a fight stick, better input feedback compared to smash's subpar default control options can make it a hassle when you're not used to it

I love how Riddles doubted his grab when he had Spark. Spark Kazuya grab kills at anywhere above 66 on edge, 70 near middle platforms and 85 on center I've learned. Ever since a buddy of mine said he doesn't know what Kazuya is banned and I seen Riddles I've taken to learning Kazuya and I don't got everything down yet but some stuff I do understand.
Edit: I forgot to mention it also varies with who you're going against as well

It's a losing matchup, yes, but I think an even larger factor in why whizzy lost all the time, sometimes with Riddles having 2-3 stocks remaining, is that Wizzy didn't know the MU. That goes to show that even as a top player, even with a lot of skill, that can only carry you so far.

i mean sure but this is a really polarizing example because it's kazuya. for some matchups you don't really need to know too much depth because the character has basic and consistent kill confirms / combos that you can play around whereas playing neutral with kaz is a whole different beast

Through watching the entire video, Kazuya never lost an interaction. His moves have a disgusting amount of priority. They either traded or flat out beat Mario’s moves. With the 0 to deaths with extremely low SDI multipliers and stupid kill confirms off EWGF to Up B or Up Smash, the fact that you’re saying this is a matchup problem is ridiculous. It’s the fact that kazuya is broken

Why is Kayuza so good? When I play him he feels like a slow, clunky, awkward POS character but I see other people play him and they just wreck everyone. What's the deal?
Lots and lots of tech, experience, and knowing combo routes. Riddles uses crouch-dash quite often, which is a faster, safer way to close distance than regular dash, and the inputs lead naturally to EWGF. Also, the conversions off a single EWGF or crouch-jab to zero-to-death people means that Kazuya's disadvantage isn't that bad because he's winning. Keep in mind that Riddles is also the best Kazuya in the world.

Kazuya is op but wizzy is a pro player who didn't take a single match he could have changed characters but instead chose to take the rare opportunity to learn. He lost many matches in a row n didn't even come close to losing elite smash. Wizzy even as a Mario main doesn't even lose often so he took the rare opportunity to learn and honestly, riddles is probably the only Kazuya he can't beat now.

I got my ass beat by sora player online named panda. I could barely make a dent in them. It had to have been a pro player because I never accept defeat from a sora. I could make excuses that I was drunk and high, but it's the clear fact that they could read me and their inputs were faster than mine.
