I read once that the closest analogy for the yuki-onna in European folklore is a vampire. She goes through all the motions of feeling love and seems like she's kind and lovely, but in the end she's a monster and only cares about satiating her own desires, which are often killing people.
DeepCupsChan119 That’s because that game was inspired by Japanese mythology. With such monsters as Yuki Onna and Jorogumo. You can also find these monsters in Rosario Vampire. Though I suggest you read the manga as the anime focused more on fan service than following the manga’s story.
I don't quite understand... The deal was that he wasn't supposed to tell anyone else the Yuki-Onna froze his father to death. When you actually think about it, he really hasn't told anyone else, just Oyuki (the Yuki-Onna in disguise). Was she right to get all thick in the flurries with him about it, or is there something else I'm missing?
I’m pretty sure this isn’t a real tale as the traditional Japanese snow woman is a ruthless woman who kills and sometimes eats young men who she finds pretty, two: the fathers name was Mosaku than she said it Mokichi?, idk this specific tale sounds kinda made up
Girl: you brought up the time I killed your dad how dare you!!!!
Me: screw you how you gonna kill MY dad then try to merry me?
Clarence Allen LOL
ちなへれ
and also Yuki-Onna weakness is fire or heat cuz there you know ice and snow.
Shouldn’t the children have snow powers too?
WOOOOW
Maybe the genes for those powers are recessive like red hair or blue eyes
Marcus Yamamoto nope you can tell or else the summer would affect the kids
When they get older
They might? Who knews
Thank you for this epic tale. It will help me out in theatre.
what do you mean in theatre?
@@andreysantiago6255 maybe he/she is performing as a character in this story tale I'm theatre
did she love him? because she said thinking about the children i cannot kill you. if they had no children would she have killed him
Lunar Sunshine
Lunar Sunshine yes
Ye she would
Ofc she loved him... I think... Cuz why marry him and why have children with him if she doesn't?

-.- the writer had a love experience that dealt with the word 'promise'
Oh my god, I watched this years and years ago on vhs.. the nostalgia !
This was really lovely and sad
Thumbnail reminds me of Kaguya
Kaguya is based off of her
Konichiwa Watashiwa heruti desu. Indojin desu . nihongo ga hasemasu. Genki desu ka? Hindi go ga hanasemaska?

Very fantabulous
2:51 and that’s how ASMR was invented
I would have liked it more if it was in Japanese audio and eng subtitles.
Very much agreed
Look again ruclips.net/video/oP95rMJxdwc/видео.html

Wow that's impressive story💜💜
It's a lovely story
I find this story a love tragedy kind (to me, of course)
The snow woman's voice sounds very familiar. Like the voice of Malfina.
a more kid friendly version of the story which was very well told in the movie Kwaidan
❤️❤️
>_> is this kinda reminds me of Nioh vidoe game beating the boss yuki-onna

In all honesty, I don't think I've ever heard of a single creature/entity from Japanese folklore that wasn't an extremely horrible monster.
Waooo nice
Isn't there a Creepshow (or similar movie) that has a similar story?
In Indonesia, we called it “Jaka Tarub”. The story has similiar moral value.
I watched this in Japanese I learn japan at a school
I couldnt sleep again after watching this
This is more of a horror story
This is basically about the spirit Yuki onna
Some mother she was she left her kids they deserved a better mother
from Demi-chan wa Kataritai
I really like your vids pot
she lookss like kaguya otsutsuki

Iv thought about that before to. When she not to tell anyone I guess that anyone would include herself to.
The thing is he didn’t know it was the yukionna in disguise, so she saw first hand that he told someone.
It is just like that of crane
Let it go let it go
Why would the woman freeze him if he just told him to her
Well there are other versions where she doesn't leave him at all and forgive's him since it was just her he told

There are many different tales from various regions but this story is quite famous and not made up.
the folktale varies from region to region and time period in some tales they lived together
Yokai
It’s Yuki onna
That is one cold B!
Elsa is that you
Onna yuki
Is this Nihon no Mukashibanashi?
yup
Yuki onna....
Where's Batman and his thermal suit when you them?
She is a yokai….I don’t think he can’t beat her
This scared me a little 😓😓
Watch the "draw my life" video about yuki-onna. It's even scarier 😬
Wait a sec... Didn't Yuki-Onna had 10 children?
She was ...popular.
(i hope someone gets the joke)
Kind of a depressing story. Especially for kids.
take a look at to the bunnys tale
We just found Elsa's real parents!
No witnesses 101
It is wery ears old but they had guns
Image chilly chilicomomo
Froslass
Creepy...
