      I read once that the closest analogy for the yuki-onna in European folklore is a vampire. She goes through all the motions of feeling love and seems like she's kind and lovely, but in the end she's a monster and only cares about satiating her own desires, which are often killing people.

    やはり海外の方と日本人の物語の捉え方は国民性的に違うかも、日本人としては雪女自身のジレンマを感じるし、切なく悲しく美しく感じるけど、どこか海外の方は文字通りで表面をなぞることを重視してると感じたね、それが悪いことというか本当に物事の捉え方の違い。興味深い

    • @KingNazaru

      DeepCupsChan119 That’s because that game was inspired by Japanese mythology. With such monsters as Yuki Onna and Jorogumo. You can also find these monsters in Rosario Vampire. Though I suggest you read the manga as the anime focused more on fan service than following the manga’s story.

    In all honesty, I don't think I've ever heard of a single creature/entity from Japanese folklore that wasn't an extremely horrible monster.

    I don't quite understand... The deal was that he wasn't supposed to tell anyone else the Yuki-Onna froze his father to death. When you actually think about it, he really hasn't told anyone else, just Oyuki (the Yuki-Onna in disguise). Was she right to get all thick in the flurries with him about it, or is there something else I'm missing?

    • @OblivionKisame
      @OblivionKisame 5 лет назад

    I’m pretty sure this isn’t a real tale as the traditional Japanese snow woman is a ruthless woman who kills and sometimes eats young men who she finds pretty, two: the fathers name was Mosaku than she said it Mokichi?, idk this specific tale sounds kinda made up

    • @PhsykoOmen
