barr is loathsome overall in his outlook and conduct, but in this circumstance, he's not pulling too many punches from landing on trump, especially given barr's own (awful) baseline positions and loyalties. He basically suggested that trump's guilty, the election was fair & accurate, trump''s unqualified to be president, & the case here against is justified & reasonably strong (albeit he questions if he would have charged it). For a republican stooge, that's not bad (in terms of having some tether to reality on this matter).

Trump's father Fred was arrested in New York City in 1927, when a group of Klansmen got into a brawl with police officers during a Memorial Day parade in Queens. There is a document trail, and the names, dates, and addresses match up. The New York Times published a story about the riot and the seven men who were arrested; Fred Trump is mentioned by name. His address is given at 175-24 Devonshire Road, Jamaica, New York City, and the federal census of 1930 shows that Fred Trump resided there.

Agreed. And she could also have asked whether he thought Garland played it too slow. Because if this indictment was posted - say - 12 months ago, it would have been much less political. Which was Barr's main concern.
