Good stuff! This is the only one of the "V/H/S" movies, I have seen, as well. And I thought it was an entertaining watch: mixing a well-used, overall premise; with slightly cliche'd storytelling; to create a far from brilliant, but better than awful, little flick. Love the VHS movies! A much more evenly distributed horror anthology movie is Southbound. I feel like all of the stories in that one are really creepy and the twist in the end is really well done!
liked the movie quite a lot, the first segment being my favorite and by far the most unsettling one. having SEEN THE MOVIE MYSELF, I came here to find out WHAT EXACTLY IT IS THAT MAKES THE BRUTALITY OF IT. unfortunately, I only got a literal retelling of the movie (that I have already seen). a really funny one, I have to admit :-) however, it would TRULY ELEVATE your content, if you gave your opinion on what it is that makes a film brutal and what you like or don't like about the film.
The gal in the first film is where the inspiration behind Momo came from. Some Japanese online pranksters just tweaked her character a bit and gave her a bird like twist and Momo was born.

We've all had premature commentations, man. The urge to pause the video and jot down a thought before we forget it is not as uncommon as you might think but, it'll always earn you some flak.
Yup. Loved the short but from what I remember the full length movie was actually pretty meh if not downright bad.
isnt that the first VHS tape tho?
I watched this movie from a leak after SXSW with no context and only a vague mention of it on a Wikipedia page and it has to be one of my favorite horror film experiences and I must have watched it 20+ times showing new people often.
Love the principle behind it. You rob you steal you vandalize and then attempted to tag team a perceived to be intoxicated woman only to find the spawn of satan
What goes around comes around i guess, sometimes you need a lil spawn of satan
What da time you abda dreeeeead...
James really said “must’ve been the wind” bro what?!?!
Only half of the segments are good, and the framing devices are usually pretty crap, but the half of the segments that are good?
VERY good. I really like some of them. Like Parallel Monsters or Ratma. Very cool thought-provoking short stories.
I can describe whole VHS franchise with simple "WTF"
Emily: what is it that we saw last night
James: Must have been the wind
These movies were so scary! I liked the second one more with the aliens or that could’ve been the third one but it was still entertaining, I love you humor too! This is my first video I’m watching of yours but you’ve got my subscribe :)
DEF do a follow up with VHS2 I’ve watched the first two but the second one is pretty gnarly, deals with aliens and cults and some other gore horror.
Best commentary ever! Love your wits!
I have never laughed so hard listening about a horror movie XDD You rock man!!
I really enjoyed these. I remember amateur night and 103198 scaring the hell out of me when i first saw it. Theyve stayed in my head and lily's face when it finally splits open all the way is soo terrifying. The glitchy one reminded me a tiny bit of black mirror (minus all the gore)
Man the commentary for this was fantastic, hella funny!!!
The second story is the most disturbing to me, as I've had something similar happen to me.
That's pretty scary
Love the VHS movies! A much more evenly distributed horror anthology movie is Southbound. I feel like all of the stories in that one are really creepy and the twist in the end is really well done!
"A floating PNG"
Me, an aspiring graphic designer: YEAH THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT
I loved these movies as a kid. Sucks they went downhill so fast after the first one with each movie having 1-2 good segments each.
Really enjoyed this.
I like your narration-style :-)
liked the movie quite a lot, the first segment being my favorite and by far the most unsettling one. having SEEN THE MOVIE MYSELF, I came here to find out WHAT EXACTLY IT IS THAT MAKES THE BRUTALITY OF IT. unfortunately, I only got a literal retelling of the movie (that I have already seen). a really funny one, I have to admit :-) however, it would TRULY ELEVATE your content, if you gave your opinion on what it is that makes a film brutal and what you like or don't like about the film.
Big Will.
I love your content and wish you the best.
This commentary is actual gold
Oh please please please review the other movies too! I love your reviews and these movies are really good.
Big wills videos really make my day
You should watch Holidays. It’s like V/H/S, but it’s centered around various holidays like Christmas and, uh, Father’s Day, I guess😂
The gal in the first film is where the inspiration behind Momo came from. Some Japanese online pranksters just tweaked her character a bit and gave her a bird like twist and Momo was born.
Can't wait for you to do all four of them
VHS, VHS 2, VHS viral and VHS 94
“Did that dude really use the poop tooth brush” LMFAO
Love your content man keep it up!
