Hahaha! Thanks!! Man...You've started it hahaha...Months ago you mentioned that the MV-8000 had SP-808 features so it caught my interest. You're sooooo right! This MV is amazing! I can't wait to spend more time with this tank. Thanks for getting back to me. We stay in touch! Grtzzz, Roger
Glad I could inspire another creative. You will no doubt continue to inspire more great works from us MV users. I have strayed away for a minute. But making my way back "home" to my MV. As you're seeing, if you give her time she returns with results. I luv my MV over all my other gear.
Netm8kr great words! Super to read that ‘she’ is still your favourite. I also think that’s ‘she’ will replace my MC-50... Time will tell. Have a good one! 💪🏽👌🏽✌🏽🤙🏽
Thank you so much for your compliment and for subscribing! More videos will follow. Recently bought a new second hand camera and now the video is in sync with the sound :D!
I met one of the writers Arthur Forest of Inner City in 1989, it was my 1st time seeing a TR808 and a lot of the sampling, was done on a Mirage. He had some banging tracks!!! Oh yeah I'm getting one of these ASAP like tomorrow tomorrow LOL!!!
Michael Fernand That’s amazing that you met Arthur Forest. Must have been very impressive 😍. Hahaha...yes, this MV is a great unit. Sampler, sequencer, synth and effects all in one machine. Really cool piece of gear. Grtzzz, Roger
Hey Roger great video. I recently got my MV out of storage and tried to sample direct from a turntable, into the phono inputs, (I have never tried that before) and I dont get any signal to come in to the MV can you demonstrate this feature? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Hi! I have the 8000 instead of the 8080. The AKAI MPC X is a great machine, for sure. I mean...it is totally updated to the needs of now. I do like the fact that it has 4xOUT and 2xIN for MIDI. It should work extremely fast. And I think the touch screen is also very nice. Only thing is that it costs around 2K€. That makes is for me unreachable. But for sure you get something really professional. Grtzzz, Roger
This video and all this guys stuff just shows the benefits of knowing what your doing vs wanting what's new today..this guy's taking what he has and getting the most out of it.
Michael Fernand Slow depends on the amount of samples you have used. But what is slow? Okay...it’s not a 2019 iMac but it is also not a C64 loading a game. It takes around a minute to load/save a project.
I imagine the MV as a drum/phrase sampler NOT ableton or octatrack. While I have the upgrade to ½ GB RAM, I try to keep my projects below ¼ gb. Furthermore, my individual loops/phrases are rarely over 3-4 seconds. Follow these guidelines & you should be fine. Otherwise, the graphical display can take forever displaying the full waveform. Also, hit 400mb of sampling & loading a project can be painfully slow. I have the mv8000 but mike acosta told me the 8800 processor is not that much faster . . . . For 1990’s standard the MV was a beast, it cannot keep up with 2015+ hardware. The beauty is in its limitations & exotic architecture.
Really enjoying these MV videos - Keep it up
Best Kept Secret Thanks!!! I will keep on grabbing. Next week more vids!
💪🏽👌🏽✌🏽🤙🏽
Once again you really demonstrate mastery of the MV! Well done Roger! Very inspirational to get more use out my machine.
damn, this DAW software is so powerful and integrates nicely with the controller, crazy
I'm glad you have joined the MV-NATION. Now, I can be even more inspired. Welcome, and I can't wait until you mate it with the VP9000. Peace...Netm8kr

The only arguement I heard about it was a slo song saving time , is it that slow?

no PC fuc*ery!!!! i imagine its quick to get a song done on this song as opposed to playing with 10000 plugins
