Where do you jack the car up from? I just got one as my first car but I don't have the manual and couldn't find it online so I don't know where to safely jack up the car from, can you possibly make a video on that? Thanks
I'll make a youtube short showing this but I'm trying to upload a video this Saturday so I might upload the short for next Saturday.
You can jack the car up from the tow hooks using a floor jack: there is one near the front of the vehicle and one in the rear. Then you can place jack stands under the tabs on each side of the vehicle; right behind the front wheels. I hope that makes sense.
@@omarahmad25 I jack up the car using the tow hooks as well but if you have a short jack and a tall jack stand then it may not lift the car high enough so you can put the jack stand under the car. This has happened to me so what I did to fix it was to jack the car up on two other metal plates under the front bumper, one on the left and one on the right, which helps the jack just lift less weight then if it was placed on the center two hook and allows me to put the jack stands in their places.
This youtube short will be uploaded this Saturday. I will put the link here.
@@automotiveobsession7265 that's a good idea! Where exactly do you place the metal plates under the bumper?
That oil filter is such a pain in the ass to get to I'm struggling at the moment
I know especially if the exhaust manifold is still hot. I don't know if you use oil filter pliers but if you do use them then it will make the job easier. If you need and want to you can buy the one I used in the video here - amzn.to/40tyq14
@@automotiveobsession7265 appreciate the help took me a few tries but eventually I got it out and replaced it I’ll look into that tool for my future oil changes 🤘🏼
@@cgslidez Anytime. Glad it worked out for you.
Buy the K&N oil filter , those come in handy when tight
@@mikasa8776 That's also another good option because of the nut they have on the rear that helps you remove them if they too tight. Here is the link to buy one amzn.to/42OXekK
