Now everyone wants to say who he is. This has everything to do with what’s right or wrong. Doing the *RIGHT* thing. Could’ve saved a lot of women.

I was gonna say it was nice to finally see an interview that feels like the actors are being off the cuff and genuine... then I realized these are high caliber actors who could probably sell me water while I'm drowning... so what do I believe, honestly? I don't disagree with you. However, I have a different take. I was once supervised by this bitch, who bullied me in every way possible. Still, there are a few things I gained from that employment which I acknowledge. Doesn't make her wrongdoings go away, but the good things can still be acknowledged. Plus, at a public event like the Oscars, she'd have faced a lot of backlash if she hadn't mentioned and thanked him. Just a messy situation I feel.
I don't think you can blame someone for doing what it takes to get wildly famous. The point is, she shouldn't have had to put up with it. Had nothing to do with her talent. But at age 22 of being an actress she was probably conditioned to take whatever was thrown at her. Probably happened for the first time when she was a teenager. I do believe in personal responsibility. But be careful of victims shaming, especially when the victims were so young.

my 29 years of living as a woman on earth the biggest life lesson i learned is that i cannot always rely or trust other people around me to save me from getting sexually harassed or discriminated because the harsh reality is that many people out there will treat you like you are less than because of how they were raised to think and believe of a certain group of people or gender to be like. the more i got older, the more i started to stand up for myself even if it means having to raise my voice in public places when i felt like i was being disrespected or being taken advantage of by certain group of people. being a girl, unfortunately there are a lot of bad people out there that will view you as an easier target than being a male to mess with because society still views women as the lesser likely to speak up from mistreatment than a man would i dont blame society to think that way because i feel most women prefer to choose to just stay silent rather than bring attention to themselves in everyday harassment situations especially if that person happens to be their boss or someone that can have the potential to physically hurt them. a woman has to not only think about her public image to other people but also about her physical safety when they make the choice to go against a powerful man compared to if a man does the same thing.

It makes me kinda laugh how people just love to put this picture in their heads that Matt and Ben knew everything, and they just went along with it no matter what and these people demand their careers to end. What I find amusing is that for every Matt and Ben, there was almost definitely female actors who must have heard the rumours who were not directly involve as well and not spoken out about this either. But no one wants to go down that avenue of demanding the same of those people. The women who heard the rumours and did the same thing that is accused of Matt and Ben. When Meryl was mentioned in the same breath as these guys in being well aware and did all she could to ignore this, accused by a victim none the less, the world did not want to believe it and believed 100% in her explanation. It just became a situation where "We found our GUYS and that is all we want to stick our knives in." I just find it semi-amusing that Meryl in this gets a pass by a lot of people, but the guys here don't. Seems like its only equality that is wanted when its about what women DON'T get. In this case, I see too much of the same old hypocrisy.
You shouldn't find any of this funny. This is criminal behavior. Damon has openly said since the scandal, that he knew he Weinstein was a bully. Where's the evidence that he called him out for that. It's not good enough. I wouldn't sit back and allow someone was a bully. He says it in this interview. Why is that ok? What ever a person stance, if you find any of this amusing then you are a man/woman who is part of the problem. None of this is funny.

gutz1981 Exactly! There is no way everyone did not hear something at some point. At the very least, the veteran actors and actresses should have warned the younger women to not ever be alone with Harvey. Society helps create these sorts of monsters by providing an environment in which to thrive. Harvey's personality was set but kick ass Hollywood and Washington gave him the environment to do whatever he wanted without concern.
Also, there is another double standard often in the news: female sexual predators. Women get a lap on the wrist for having sex with a minor and society still gives high-fives to the boys. It's disgusting.
It’s also very hard I can imagine to act out in these situations because the reason it can happen in the first place is the crooked power dynamic, the fear and intimidation. I think both Ben, Matt and Meryl should’ve said something but on the other hand I think it was both very hard and maybe also very difficult for them to speak out about it

Did anyone else notice how she crossed her arms tightly and looked down when she was asked did she have any bad experiences with him. I'm no body language expert, but I felt there was more to it than what she said. Not trying to hurt her or pry or anything, but she is a very attractive lady, so I'm automatically thinking there is a disconnect there if he didn't try anything with her.

I do respect Matt Damon as an actor. But when I see this interview, I saw bad acting / lying not knowing the behaviour of Weinstein against women. And as well, accepting to work with a "bully", like it's normal. We are still at this level, when you are rich or powerful you can treat people with no respect, humiliate them. I did turn a blind eyes about bulling behaviour at some work place, but I earn the minimum wages, and i need a job. When you are rich and you can choose with person you work for, you should say no to accept this kind of behaviour. Come on!

I just want to clarify that I'm not excusing anyones behavior but actors in Hollywood have to be very careful. If they piss off the wrong exec/director they can very well get blacklisted from the industry. Again, not excusing it but I'm not surprised to hear that everyone who knew stayed silent just to save their own careers.
Brad Pitt was an exception. He was a big star, still is and knew his worth. He knew he could get away with threatening Weinstein because he made the studios money.
