My first experience with surround sound was watching the Apocalypse Now Redux on my brother's new stereo system and massive 36 inch TV (haha)in my parents basement. Great memory.
Love the story of Jim Fostgate..Just watched part 3 and now part 2. I've installed many Rockford Fosgate Car audio amps and done some subwoofer design. I even have the original Rockford Fosgate training book from one shop I worked for from the early 90's...
I knew that was counterpoint stuff lol what a huge loss for the audio community I sold jim some tube stuff I didn't meet him he had it picked up but I talk to him over the phone he was a really nice guy I'm gonna see if can find the email
Its a good pick for action at the time for sure, but I find that scene from Apocalypse Now hard to watch though, savage what we subjected those people to in Nam.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing! Jim was an amazing person
I will miss him very much! I was very lucky he became a friend and got to talk with him often. I true lose to the world!
Fosgate in my mind is the best amp on planet
Rip great Fosgate.
Thanks for the áudio.

My first amplifier was a punch 150. Then power 100, punch 45, punch 30..
Mine was the Punch 300!
What a walk down memory lane and historical product recognition. I love stuff like this as much as I do the product.

I love how women came in and made things work. Sure, Jim was the genius, but the women in his life stepped in to make things work and work well. 😉
Women don't build they move in 🤷♂️
