Man, this just put a big a$$ smile on my face. The level of work on that van is still amazing. Brought back so many memories of drooling over magazines as a teen in the 90s. Especially the layout diagrams 🙂🙂. I used to love seeing those diagrams. I did that on paper with my very first real system. 2 12" Audiophiles being powered by an Autotek 7300 . Clarion headunit and I ran a mixture of Rockford, Infinity, and Pyle for my mids and highs. My mids and highs amp was an A/D/S 4 channel plate amp and a Clarion XM 3e crossover. Damn I wanna go back in time 😁😁. Thanks for the video.
I remember replacing the batteries on the Blastrovan that Creative Marketing owned back in the early 90's with 4 Power 1000's when I worked at Progressive Audio in Gladstone MO.
I remember seeing this van at J&D Stereo in Coeur d'Alene, ID in the 90s. Got to sit in it and listen :) I also saw the Kicker dually truck at Huppin's hifi in Spokane, WA around that same time. Also, somewhere in a box I have old Polaroids from when my father shipped the Cerwin Vega trade show van across the country.
Mark also had the ever famous ‘Mello Yello Texas Groundpounder’. It was a beautiful S10 blazer with sixteen 15s running off of four Power-1000s. I would have loved to have seen it up close.
I remeber that as well! Not from actually seeing it but from the magazines. I worked in a shop that had RF and Alpine and this guy was the legend in the RF shops.
I was fortunate enough to see alot of oldschool SPL builds/vehicles @ the Db drag world finals, and met a few of the RF legends. Mark Fukuda's, and Arthur the "Shaker" Turgeon's vehicles were awesome! Also got to see Richard Clark's, Sq. Buick Regal Grand National.
I wish they would go back to the old look of the punch amps with the new technology inside, and the original also. I’d like to recreate what I had back in the day!
I remember seeing this van in Auto Sound & Security Magazine. I drooled over it!! I was really young, years before ever getting DL, but I consumed those mags!! How I never knew this was a Fukuda truck is beyond me.
Same here! I was in middle school when he built this and was 16 or 17 when it came out in the auto sound mag and me took drooled over this van for many many years and to be able to have been a part of the restoration of this van was the pinnacle of what I do and have been doing for many years restoring old school car audio!! Man what an honor it was. Now I get to help with the blazer!
Wow....stunning!! That's amazing to be apart of those restoration projects, good for you man!! I was about 12 when I got my parents to by the mag, hahaha.
Wowwwwwwwsers what a work of art!!!!! Is this an old demo van or did owner/builder buy all these beautiful pieces from collectors bc EVERYTHING looks brand new🎉🎉🎉🎉
