    Great comfortable, practical and reliable daily driver. If you want a little more speed and less luxury go for the Si.

    once you ride/drive a good cvt, you’ll never want to go back. there’s something about the acceleration. for a daily driver, there is no other choice. I love not having my head jarred when taking off from a stop light.

      On reddit, people shit on the CVT all day long. I haven't driven one yet, but the logical part of me thinks the CVT has to be good if Honda is using it as the only option outside of MT. You can no longer get a Honda with a standard transmission these days

      @@TraceguyRune yo I shat on it cause of reddit and test drove the accord 2.0t and this and this felt more fun. Yeah, definitely can't keep up with faster cars, but for the weight of this car, and with VTEC and turbo this little civic on the 1.5t low-key pulls

    changing the game of entry level sedans. might not have all the soft touch surfaces as one of them cute Chevy Cruzes but guaranteed this thing will run, and run, and run, and run. For a long time to come. Honda has perfectly executed their CVT. I want one.

      You can barely tell the hard surfaces, they hid them well. The sport tourings interior is luxury level to me.

      @@KARZJR I getting one is boost blue and I got the sport hatchback which the total cost was 27k so besides the shipping and handling fee. It's 3k over MSRP

      Cvts are so smooth, especially Hondas. Will take that any time over gear hunting and bucking of regular automatic

    nice video, one question: can you use siriusXM from the car and google maps from android auto at the same time? will the navigation still work?

      yes, it has Sirus XM subscription for 3 months and has wireless apple/ andriod carplay. It also has hondas built in navigation as well.

      Although I have a newer Nissan Sentra…I use both at the same time no problem. I usually mute my google maps though so that annoying gps voice doesn’t interfere with the music.

    Every car review I watch somebody always gotta say something about CVT. Y’all just repeating each other at this point, damn near every daily drive car have them now. Do your own swaps if it’s that bad

      @@intrapersonaI never had an issue with my 2017 hatchback. I personally love the go-kart feel of Honda’s cvts, and they provide excellent gas mileage. No fuss at the on ramp for sure.

      @@TraceguyRune CVT's were literally rushed into R&D and production to meet emission standards. They are only found on tame vehicles with very little power output because any substantial power put onto them just bricks them. Subaru had a 100k warranty on the CVT. Which implies the life line of the transmission is 100k miles. Traditional transmissions are supposed to last for the entire lifetime of the vehicle, not just the standard long term owner lifetime. Sure, Honda may have made it somewhat more reliable, but what I said from the start isn't that wrong, they aren't the golden standard and obviously so since 8 / 10 speeds are now the favorites in replacing them.

    I remote started my 2022 civic from outside and the engine is shutting down when I get inside and start to drive. Is it the right way to drive the car after starting it with remote?

      Do you press the brake and start button when you get in the car? It doesn’t consider itself “on” until you do that. Remote start also has a timer for like 10min, after which it automatically shuts itself off

    I work at Honda. I really like the car. The drive feels different. Just cant get over the ugly frontend. I just sold my 19 hatch and in my opinion looks way better than new

    the 11th gen has definitely grown on me. Does ANYONE know if the 1.5L turbo's honda has still suffer from a great deal of oil dilution??

      According to a well-respected mechanic on RUclips Scotty kilmer. Honda did in fact solve the oil dilution problem.

      But chances are they haven’t *solved* it but reduced it. All other signs of oil dilution are still there, it may just be reduced.

      GLI isn't nearly as nice or as well equipped as this car is. they don't even compete. Try a Civic Si VS a GLI. Most European cars are overhyped and overpriced tbh.
