      No such thing, the Honda platform from my youth is long dead. These new civics are huge, especially if you park a bubble back next to one. They are also WAY nicer to drive, but they are really fat, hard to see out of and boring.. a high revving 8k rpm redline and that intoxicating vtec noise, mixed with feather light weight, easy to see out of, and indestructible engine strength.. is a formula replaced by cuv's with cvt's and hybrids.. The days of swapping in motors, or building a hybrid of H or B series part motors is gone. Honda is about as exciting these days as buick was in the 90's which is fitting because the new accord could pass for a park avenue.. 😢

    If this is your first manual car you're getting, do not be worried. I picked up the non-touring hatch in the manual, and it was my first time driving a stick. It is a fantastic learners car, only took me 1 week to get it down. The clutch is light and shifting is very smooth when you shift at 3k+ rpms from 2-4th gear.

    This video has made me even more excited about this car - and I never thought I'd be excited over a Civic. But this has eased some of my worries as far as performance goes and I like the size of the cargo capacity of the hatchback over the sedan. About 5 inches shorter yet nearly 10 cubic feet more cargo room. That's some crazy too-doo magic right there.

    • @philricci2012
      @philricci2012 2 года назад

      The “magic” is that with a hatchback, cargo volume is measured to the roof of the car. It does lose some overall length in the cargo area with the rear seat up, compared to the sedan. As a result, you can fit longer items in the trunk of the sedan compared to the hatch with the seat up but you can fit taller items in the hatch. Magicians don’t like to reveal their tricks, so I did it for them.
