4:22 Oh no! You just passed by the best trout lures in the state! 😂 Keep up the good work on the videos. I also enjoy the B roll of the beatiful scenery.
I remember passing by and stopping on my way down to Phoenix usually during the weekday and being the only person around I could see sometimes now there is really no place like that anymore I personally like going to the lakes close to Show Low White Mountain Apache lakes haven’t been to Woods Canyon lake in 17 yrs would pass by it frequently thx
Thanks for the video. Magical lake. Never had more than average luck towards the dam. We always went to the other end of the lake. Trolling used to be very productive at times.
hey Scott, thanks for watching and thanks for the great comment..i never did make it to the other end of the lake in the video. i like to fish off the shore up there.myself..Thanks again, Charley
@@rakitakhan There used to be some really nice fish on the far end of the lake. There are two large flat red stones to sit on that project out into the water a ways (if you're luck enough to get there early). The whole shore there (from the rocks towards the dam) for a couple hundred meters had excellent fishing. Trolling in that arm of the lake used to be fantastic right where it opens into the main lake body (zray, ford fender). On rare occasions there will be action at the far end of the lake where some other similar rocks stick out (same branch but you have to go around the tip of the lake to the back shore - it's a bit of a trudge and I've encountered pine rattlers there. (it's shallower so it's not good very often). I haven't been fishing there in some 20+ years but the lake was consistent in those areas during the twenty years I did fish it.
I have been wanting to check out Woods Canyon, hate the crowds though. Maybe mid week is the best time to go. Another great video, great to see these places, keep them coming. Looking forward to the creek video. Happy fishing!
Love Woods Canyon lake, but I had to buy my own Boat, because they won't let you beach theirs, Stay in it or go back to the dock if you want to get out. I've caught nice rainbows there.

Nice video, thanks for posting. Like seeing you catching that first one on a super duper. It’s one of my favourite lures.
Thanks for the great comment. Ya, the super duper is an old "go to" lure. They seem to always work at Woods Canyon. Thanks again, Charley
