For anyone who is curious. You can never kill Shara in his stone form. The game literally stops his HP from going down no matter how much damage you deal, once you get him to 40%. His parts can accrue damage, but not his actual health. Not until after he sheds his skin.
Well, that's another monster off the list to speed run. Kinda want to see y'all attempt to speed run Alatreon when he comes out. That would be epic.
Luciano Reyes I aim to kill him with the Whetfish saber. Everything else is extra for me.

@@seiorharrison5332 In the previous titles he flies quite a bit, on the ground he is dragon dashing around. Not sure how they would counter that since in MR Flashes are limited to 1-2 before they are immune.

When we were doing this run I literally couldn't hear anything but BRRRRRR. Too many rocks getting shredded by savage axe.

Probably cause Rainy is using scripts to let monsters appear with the smallest crown. So he doesn't have to adapt to different hit boxes.

How do they perform the infinite combo in savage axe mode? It is not triangle, circle, triangle, circle..., right?

Been having a blast with charge blade combo'd with Maximum Might 5, Slinger Capacity 5, Critical eye 6, and Nirgigante essence (and guard 5 obviously). Empowered axe form is so much fun.
You only need guard level 3 for charge blade because having the shield charged gives you a passive +1 guard and guard pointing gives you an extra +1

Edit - cause if you do, all it will take is a little practice
@@IlyaLunaFF I know the basics and I'm pretty good at the guard point you can hit when transitioning to axe mode (R2 + TRIANGLE) but i can't hit it every time. And when I hit the other guard point when trying to charge the axe, it's almost always accidental.
@@joshuapayne1425 oh yeah the switching to axe and the savage axe guard point is what I rely on the most. The round slash guard point is always accidental. I've actually KOed a monster by guard pointing its roar a few times

As somebody who got the game recently and has been using the charge blade the entire time so far, this pleases me
Just a quick question. What is the use of the defense augment on the weapon?
Its for when you have a single augment slot left and you literally cant use it for anything else. You dont need it but you might as well have it.
It's the only 1-socket augment available, meaning once they put Elemental Up III on, Defense I is the only thing that fits.
probably couldn't fit anything else in, so why not have a tad more defense ya know

How come when they're doing Savage Axe combos, they wait a second after doing elemental discharge 2 so they can do the overhead attack again instead of just pressing triangle immediately after so they can do the rising ax slash attack? Does the overhead ax attack have such high motion value that it's better than having less downtime between attacks?

You're telling me you can drop the boulders on his head in phase two as soon as it starts? I thought the only way was to ram ishvalda in the wall under them, and by the time I get it near a wall it has already lasored away all of them.
