There's a cheese mechanic you can use with the plunderclaw or whatever it is called which allows you to get a ton of materials to craft his gear. Which is also the reason you may see some people with full fatalis gear but they Kind a suck at the game

ArakDBlade yeah that’s probably the biggest. TDS special is to kill stuffs extremely fast , and Fatalis took 11 minutes of nearby perfect Ls usage ; that says A LOT about this fight.
Fatalis HP is around 66k solo (100k on this one probably I have to check the MH researchers data for it) + bad HZV compare to Alatreon plus He is slow + weird hitboxes + Love to AoE spam + Very Wide AoE attack + chip dmg from parry + still can pin you even you parry the body flop attack + and a whole a lot of annoyingness. like Lunastra's level of annoying. This fight is more just take the hit on the face when using rocksteady and auto evade on temporal and speedrunning using TA wiki rules will be a nightmare.
I feel it might be helpful to leave some tips for some of you who haven't beaten him yet. 1. Use Dragon Pods. Two of these will always stagger unless the monster is doing an animation you can't cancel. 2. Unlike Alatreon, bring Farcasters. I didn't for my first few runs cause I've completely forgot that most monsters let you Farcast. 3. I would recommend that if you are struggling to beat him, use Plunderblade and do some runs against Fatalis to farm materials. His armor is godlike, so running two pieces of it is insane. I tried running a safe build with Divine Blessing but as much as I was surviving hits, my own hits didn't do much so I just made a new SAED build and beat him a few times. 4. If I had to give you weapons to use you, go for Raging Brach or Alatreon weapons and Armor. Alatreon resistance and element damage can't be underestimated while Brachydium is just insane. 5. Most of you aren't speedrunners, but for this hunt you have to be aggressive. You have 30 minutes. Don't waste them. 6. When you hit him with the Dragonator, just when you see him starting to stand up, I recommend getting ready to run, since if you do enough damabe including Dragonator damage he'll usually do his Hellfire and decimate the field. 7. Heavy Artillery. If you want to knock out the monster often, bring Heavy Artillery. The damage these do is insane, while also knocking the monster over in no time. You have cannons, ballista, roaming ballista, one shot binder and a Dragonator. Don't leave these cannons out there without shooting them, especially the free roaming ballista damage. 8. Some skills I recommend for surviving i would say you should get are: Health Boost, Divine Blessing, Fortify, Recovery Up, Fire Resistance, and you have to bring Health Augment. Plus Quick Sheath for his Hellfire. For DPS skills: Heavy Artillery, Fortify, Agitator, Peak Performance for non Safi builds, Crit Boost, Weakness Exploit, Resentment for Safi, and Clutch Claw Boost for light weapons like Long Sword, LBG and etc. 9. Be ready at ALL POINTS to book it. If you see yourself doing insane damage, but the monster is standing up after being knocked over, don't keep attacking, I've carted alot from getting greedy while the monster was knocked over and got Hellfired to cart. 10. Not a way to kill him but just to remind you. The Monster is brutal, he does become Easy later. Don't hate yourself for having so much problems with him, alot of people are having issues with him but don't give up cause you are struggling. I know from experience that the fight feels impossible, do it with friends if it's too hard and get his armor then do it solo. 🐉 Happy Hunting! 🐉
@@Valstrax_ I mainly focus on chaining spirit blade combos, foresight slashes and Iai slashes, better to avoid hits altogether than to use a move that lowers your power after use and has a pretty high chance of missing, heck I use the Iai Spirit Slash more as I can see where it'll hit and it allows you to avoid hits like the foresight slash albeit with a tighter window

man, really puts fatalis health pool into perspective. two expert players, putting out basically top dps, still takes over 10 mins to kill. damn, I imagine a lot of people have failed because of the 30 min time limit.
Agreed. When streamers and pros struggle or take this much time; it is basically impossible for the ordinary player. I have been trying since launch but haven't managed to kill it yet. Most of the time team members cant stay alive and if they can stay alive, the DPS is too low and time runs out. By the time we got to third phase, we had only 10 minutes left. As far as I know, ,the boss has 50% hp remaining when the third phase begins. :-(
Yeah but wasnt arch tempered xeno jiva like 15 min with a high heal pool and everything 1 shot you unless i hh base boosted the f out of people, at least this fight is forgiving

I fucking beat it with lance. Straight up not a fun time but honestly just keep chipping at him. This is the most fair monster capcom has made and honestly all of my deaths are mistakes that I could’ve easily avoided if I wasn’t an unga bunga. You guys got this.
This just shows how strong fatalis is. Even with temporal mantle it catches them off guard, sure they did so much better than a lot of people. But this also shows that Fatalis is such a wall to climb and overcome even the best have room to improve.
I was fighting with a Guy last night and we killed him 5 times... I looked at his huntercard and he was already killing 152 Fatalis ... They have to much time i swear :o

I'm not a huge fan of it so far. If you're too far away from cover when he starts it you might not make it no matter what you do, and if you do make it it usually wastes a whole max potion to heal from. You kind of just have to get lucky with your positioning, and you still take a ton of completely unavoidable damage. Maybe I'm just a bit salty because I had a run earlier where one teammate closed the barricade before anybody else could get there which got the rest of us carted and failed the quest.

Still crazy how much hp he has, it's like almost 200k in 4 man, and like 100 and something thousand in 2 man. This is a monster that can take a lot of abuse from you guys, and honestly I feel like this is the best fight in mhw hands down to me. It's hard, challenging, and rewarding when you finally slay this living piece of history

It's possible to survive the super attack if you have moxxi/guts and heal enough to be above the threshold when the big hit kicks in. Also, If you're quick enough you can use 3 roaming ballistae.
I've actually won multiple victories against Fatalis in the last 5 minutes with the third roaming ballista barrage. But it is tricky and trying to get it can actually cost you an entire run.
PSA: Bring Heavy Artillery 2 if you are struggling, 2 roaming ballistae on the head does a great chunk of progress for a break, making the hunt much easier in phase 3
I mean the only hard part is timing his flame mechanic ahead of time. Otherwise he's just as easy as any other monster if not easier being in a small area
OMG watching the god of LS missed helm breaker and having some trouble with Fatalis Scares me to try to use LS on him, all this time I been swag axe him to death.
I have the full set aswell c: plus two weapons GS and LBG and I love it. We cursed and bashed our heads against a brick wall until the brick wall gave in and we succeeded.

now this i like, it shows just how difficult fatalis is, and how trying to speedrun fatalis is going to hurt, as it should be its fatalis, good luck making this look easy without getting hit, AND without longsword, though i will say this, i'm impressed, less then if you didn't take fatalis equipment but still impressed, i wish everyone the best of luck with fatalis, as its a brutal but fair and fun fight
Fatalis will never be easy they just sat inside for the past 2 days sweating their asses off to hunt him, If i could do that (which i can't bcoz of job n shit) i'd master his hunt pretty quick too

6:57 the fight in a nutshell idk what capcom was thinking shitboxes, toppling him is a double edged sword pretty much they focused on killing its main weakness in the previous games to make this fight more frustrating rather then fun.
lmao Well, they already have full fatalis armor. SO they have clearly been farming him a lot. Meaning they have probably memorized his move set. The more I have fought him the easier he becomes to doge. But damn when I get to that phase three. I may as well just lay down in the cart cause Im going to camp lmao
@@tang5816 Yeah it's definitely not easy the best advice I can give is to just stick by him at all times and hit his head or flinch shot him whenever you get the chance breaking the head even once will be a life saver.
I've tried him 43 times and gotten to the final phase, about to kill him around 9, and I haven't killed him yet, didn't watch the video to avoid spoilers but I'd like to say the fight is extremely well designed, I just wish they gave you 8 faints instead of 5.

@@TheFireknight12 that also works on alatreon, if you break his first horns, he is unable to switch between fire and ice, and after breaking the second one, he can't go dragon mode

Thats why I just equip my cat with the Plunder blade when I am either solo or just in a 2 man group.
And use both rock steady and temporal.

Indiana Jones a good way to avoid that situation is to farcaster if it’s necessary wth that move.

I was that one guy in MHFU that never did Fatalis unless asked to join in a group. But this time I might do the quest just for the fun and nostalgia.
It's possible to survive the super attack if you have moxxi/guts and heal enough to be above the threshold when the big hit kicks in. Also, If you're quick enough you can use 3 roaming ballistae.
I've actually won multiple victories against Fatalis in the last 5 minutes with the third roaming ballista barrage.
But it is tricky and trying to get it can actually cost you an entire run.
PSA: Bring Heavy Artillery 2 if you are struggling, 2 roaming ballistae on the head does a great chunk of progress for a break, making the hunt much easier in phase 3
Maybe Castle Schrade wouldn't have fallen if they had TDS there that night.

I mean the only hard part is timing his flame mechanic ahead of time. Otherwise he's just as easy as any other monster if not easier being in a small area

I have the full set aswell c: plus two weapons GS and LBG and I love it. We cursed and bashed our heads against a brick wall until the brick wall gave in and we succeeded.

now this i like, it shows just how difficult fatalis is, and how trying to speedrun fatalis is going to hurt, as it should be its fatalis, good luck making this look easy without getting hit, AND without longsword, though i will say this, i'm impressed, less then if you didn't take fatalis equipment but still impressed, i wish everyone the best of luck with fatalis, as its a brutal but fair and fun fight

Fatalis will never be easy they just sat inside for the past 2 days sweating their asses off to hunt him, If i could do that (which i can't bcoz of job n shit) i'd master his hunt pretty quick too

6:57 the fight in a nutshell idk what capcom was thinking shitboxes, toppling him is a double edged sword pretty much they focused on killing its main weakness in the previous games to make this fight more frustrating rather then fun.
That instance is not an example of shitty hitboxes. He got bopped to the head with the knee.

Well, they already have full fatalis armor. SO they have clearly been farming him a lot. Meaning they have probably memorized his move set. The more I have fought him the easier he becomes to doge. But damn when I get to that phase three. I may as well just lay down in the cart cause Im going to camp lmao

@@tang5816 Yeah it's definitely not easy the best advice I can give is to just stick by him at all times and hit his head or flinch shot him whenever you get the chance breaking the head even once will be a life saver.

I'm a normal human, and I've beaten Fatalis.
I've tried him 43 times and gotten to the final phase, about to kill him around 9, and I haven't killed him yet, didn't watch the video to avoid spoilers but I'd like to say the fight is extremely well designed, I just wish they gave you 8 faints instead of 5.

If you die more than 5 times u would run out of time anyway.
Keep it up hunter, I'm in the same phase too, getting used to the moves now and confident in my next round with him, so close to the end now.

Honestly the fight isnt bad. Just need good teammates . I still may cart 1-2times from me being stunned or pinned to the ground

@@TheFireknight12 that also works on alatreon, if you break his first horns, he is unable to switch between fire and ice, and after breaking the second one, he can't go dragon mode
