I bought my wife a Stanley recently and she loves it. She loved it so much she wanted me to have one too. However I started seeing people talk about Brumate and Simple Modern and decided to look into those. I really dig the colors Simple Modern have so I'm thinking I'll get a SM tumbler instead.
I honestly prefer stanley quenchers because for me I feel like they are more pretty and I bought the leak spill stopper which fixes everything. The simple modern is too plain for me. Pls do not hate. Its just what I perfer.
I bought my Simple Modern cup at Target. OMG. I am obsessed with this cup. I started to buy the Stanley but one of my favorite RUclipsrs recommended the SM. I'm glad I listened. I love the color you picked too.
Both cups are sold at Target and you might have gotten the other for $17 depending on if you’re discount was specific to Stanley or for any cup. I think both are cute💕
I've been going back and forth about getting the Simple Modern tumbler. But, at 4 months pregnant, you just encouraged me to get myself a push present too! 😄
I have so many simple, modern. They are the best. I keep my iced tea in one and water in the other one and they stay cold all day. They’re amazing I love them. I buy them as gifts and people love them but they do have a plastic version and stainless steel so make sure you get the stainless steel I like the smaller ones without the handle though. I put my simple, modern tumblers in the dishwasher every day and they’re fine. And my husband is a yeti fan but he has hot coffee. I don’t drink coffee. My drinks are cold and the simple modern are awesome everyone I’ve given one to fall in love with it because they just stay cold forever and since I I’m not a big water fan I fill my one up with water one with tea and I leave the water out and I drink it throughout the day in between my tea and I get a lot more water in this way because I don’t like warm water and since it stays cold, it’s just great. I can’t even say how good they are at keeping cold. I bought mine I was just looking for something to keep cold and be somewhat spill proof because I have health problems and drop mine a lot and these were my pick I didn’t know about them before that and it turned out to be the best thing I ever bought for my drinks. Then I started giving him his gifts because I love them so much. Definitely worth a try and they come in so many pretty options, they even have sports they have ombre they have characters everything.
4:05 - 4:20 I looked it up and apparently simply modern tumbler is also dish washer friendly. Just in case the hand washing method scares y’all off from buying it (I’m in that category as well btw)
I put my Stanley in the dishwasher and it was fine just never use really hot water because it might cause scratches also never use it if u have any dye on ur hands my cousin did and bought a new one 💀
A big difference in favor of Stanley is that it’s dishwasher safe! If you put simply modern in dishwasher, the inside gets funky…I used to have a ton of simply modern but got rid of them all because of the interior after dishwasher. I’ve put Stanley’s in dishwasher and they come out perfect…but yes, it’s super heavy!
@@mzmel1 I have an updated comment: after many times in the dishwasher, I recently noticed a little peeling on the outside of the Stanley. Since I only use it for water, I’ve been hand washing the bottom and only putting the lid and straw in the dishwasher. I find the bit of peeling disappointing but not a deal breaker. The SM troubled me because there was a coating on the INSIDE of the tumbler (all of them) that showed up as black on the drying towel after being in the dishwasher. That has never happened with the Stanley so I’m sure there’s no coating on the INSIDE (thank goodness)! I hope you enjoy your Stanley as much as I enjoy mine!!
@@csg954 thanks for the update. I’ll definitely keep the Stanley. The issue inside the cup is way more concerning. I’ve also read that if chips or other physical damage get too bad Stanley is very good about honoring their lifetime warranty.
Went with Simply Modern based on spill resistance and price. Off of Amazon for $30 delivered. 1 day delivery. I loved one of the gorgeous Stanley’s with a matte finish. When I got to the cart, it was $62 delivered. Not happening.
I was looking for affordable 40 oz stainless steel water bottles with handles and a straws that fit my golf cart cup holders. Simple Modern was it. We’ve had them for a whole golf season and they are perfect. When I go to work I use a Swell bottle that doesn’t leak, fits in my bag and looks professional. At home I use a 30 oz Tru Flask l got for free with a silicone straw. I’m not on the Stanley bandwagon.
Have& love the Stanley but wanted the simple modern too. It came today and that tiny little spot on the handle to the bottle has a gap. I noticed it in the review pictures too after I looked. Every time it’s washed water will get trapped in there and eventually it will mold. I poured a little water over it and hours later if I shook it, water was coming out of there. I’ll have to return it because I just can’t deal with thinking about mold. On some thing I’m drinking😢
Am I the only one that can’t open my simple modern cup?!?! I adore my cup, it’s black with bats all over and so beautiful but I can’t fucking open it and it drives me nuts 😢
You can drink hot beverages in the Stanley but not the SM which means less options in the lid and less chance of leakage. It's a tradeoff for the Stanley's versatility. Not a fair comparison really.

Love Brumate!
I have Stanley’s and simply Moderns and I think I like them both in different ways.

I just got my Stanley cup from Target and with my discounts I paid $22😊
How?
Does it leak?

Yes you are correct but I guess my specific one isn’t because it’s the soft touch ?
My simple modern cup holds ice 3 days they have neon green too
Living in a big German city and therefore walk a lot and use public transportation I can’t imagine to drag along this huge and heavy cup…😊

Take 2 minutes to wash your cup, don't be lazy.

I just bought both and your comment alone is going to be the reason why I return the SM. Dishwasher safe is a must.

I just want to know if they have replacement rings. I want to replace the rings once in a while instead of having to buy a new bottle.
I would buy the simply modern but what's keeping me from doing that is I really like the lid on the Stanley
I saw a Stanley dupe, with valentine hearts on it
At CVS
Hi I highly recommend that you get a Meoky cup

The new SM Trek Tumblers are dishwasher safe, I just got one and it says dishwasher safe on the bottom.
Mine is new too but it’s a soft touch one so that might be why!
That purple color is sooooooo pretty. I just got my Stanley 40oz in the orchid color which is a super light purple.
Is that Stanley the new version 2.0?

I’m not sure which part you are talking about. I don’t have that issue with mine and the Stanley handle is pretty much the same
The handle isn't where the actual drinking water is. Just add some glue to close up the hole and you'll be fine.
Stanley lids grow actual mold if not disassembled and thoroughly washed.
What color of purple is that? All I can find is lavender mist and that looks more lilac?
Also the website at slm says they’re dishwasher safe…
It’s a soft touch one which is why it’s hand wash!
Oh ok. Makes sense. I haven’t seen that kind. Thank you.
Is this the lavender mist colour?
@@dinamei739 it’s electric lavender!
Where do you get it

I kept seeing all these reels and seeing that white cup I was like what am I missing 🤣🤣
I have a simple modern, is very good, doesn't keep ice as long as Stanley tho.
