  • Welcome! We're diving into the brand new Stanley H2.0 40 oz Flowstate Quencher cup! We're also comparing this tumbler to it's hyped up rival, the Reduce cup that you can find at Target, Amazon, and sometimes Costco! There are a lot of new features that I love with Stanley, but when it comes down to it, is the splurge worth the upgrade? Let's find out!
    PRODUCTS:
    Stanley 40 OZ H20 Quencher
www.stanley1913.com/products/... (most always sold out, they announce when they're coming back)
    Reduce 40 OZ Tumbler:
    www.target.com/p/reduce-40oz-...
    Reduce on Amazon:
    www.amazon.com/Reduce-Tumbler...
Costco occasionally carries the Reduce Tumbler in a pack of 2 for about $40. That's the best price per cup!

I know you mentioned this, but the biggest difference (and most important thing to note) in my opinion is that the Stanley cup is NOT spill-proof, and the Reduce cup IS! I totally get your annoyance with the Reduce cup's straw, but I just put my straw in upside down so I can take it out without unscrewing the cap. that way, I can close the top and flip down the straw cover and it will be completely airtight! I also feel like there's almost no spillage whenever I knock over my Reduce cup, even when the straw is in it. My Stanley cup, however, leaks a ton of water when i knock it over. I think the Reduce cup's straw hole being in the middle might help prevent water from spilling out.

Thankfully, I haven't had either cup spill yet! 🤞 But that is a good point! Funny you mention the straw flip, I just started doing that and like it so much more! The Reduce really is a great option of your cup holders will fit!

I'm sort of team both. I don't have the handled Reduce tumbler, but a couple smaller ones which I like pretty well. However, I DID get a Stanley and am looking forward to using it! I was impressed by the look and feel of my younger sister's so had to try one for myself.
I still also have a water bottle from something like Hydroflow, no, not hydroflask, which is also great, and a big chunker that saw me through my last year of college made by I don't know who. We got my sister one for schoolyard status/she wanted one, and me ... just the last one!

My family has several Reduce tumblers because they were on close-out for dirt cheap at Kroger and they look nice!
Honestly, I'Ve found uses for each size we have. I have a taller handleless one that I use for some juices and things, nonfizzy. It's a great, car-friendly size! Then I have this little squat Reduce cup, great for pouring a can of soda in to make it last! We have the like 64-ish ounce clear plastic bottles from them too, which are nice for like overnight when you don't mind if water gets a little warm when you're half asleep.
Both sizes of the metal Reduce tumblers we have seem to do a solid job keeping colds cold, haven't tried with ice or hot though. I think the taller one does a little better though.
All that being said, my much younger sister wanted one because so many other kids her age have them, in school and on the bus. She got one for Valentine's Day and loves it! I couldn't help but love it too, so will.. mine's on it's way! I look forward to taking it to the beach this summer, and also filling it up with more than just one bottle of water when I'm really busy!
Each tumbler has its place, but I'm glad I ordered my Stanley! I won't stop using my reduce, every cup has its place!

    • @seamarie3111
      @seamarie3111 5 месяцев назад

No problem! Like I said, 64-ish ounces. I could be slightly wrong on that, but it's huge to me regardless. It's plastic, so not going to keep water icy the way metal does, but very nice to drink out of. It has the nice silccon bottom ring on it, and a really nice straw that pops out with the push of the lid's button. The straw is also a wide-form rubber up top, so you can really get your gulp on if you need/want a lot of water quickly.
I mostly use it as a bedside water bottle, which suits it well. No chance it'll fit in a cup houlder, I don't even think it'd fit in the truck or SUV, but I don't think it'd leak if tossed in a bag or something.

Can't wait for my Stanley though. My sister was so cute, doing that fifth-grade boasting thing where she's so proud she got the 40 ounce, while her friend has the 30 ounce.
She's a lot younger than me, the fad when I was a kid was ... beanie babies. She's biologically my niece, long story, but blood only tells one story, and she's my little sis regardless.
Unnecessary details but yeah, amazing how especially post-COVID this stuff has all just taken off even in kids her age. She's not even got a smart device/social, she just saw several kids with one and was like "I want a Stanley".

So happy about this review! It confirmed a lot of my assumptions, but cleared up a few others as well. I wonder if you will change your mind about liking the straw catch thing at the bottom once you have another little one playing with your things.. my kids ALWAYS rip straws out of drinks and it makes a mess and grossed me out and so I appreciate the stopper to prevent them from playing with it as much. Also! Just want to note that Costco sells the reduce cup in a 2-pack for $25 about once a year. So that’s when it’s truly a screaming deal. However, what are we to do about the cup holder issue?? I do have adjustable cup holders, but they’re annoying to move around and so it can be an inconvenience still regardless. I love the idea of the rubber around the straw hole to keep the straw in. Anyway. I could go on and on! I don’t know yet if I’m going to buy a Stanley cup, but I’m more convinced I would like it than I was before!

I feel like I'm in the minority here, but I'm having mixed, unhappy feelings on my Stanley and just fell in love with the Reduce. Hear me out. My husband got me a Stanley for my birthday, and it's beautiful. He even shelled out and paid a lot extra for the hard to get, limited edition color I wanted (Wisteria). It's pretty and does its job with keeping the water cold. However...I have two issues. One, the lid. I am finding that I hate having the straw on one side of the lid. I didn't realize that was even an issue since most other tumblers have the straw centered, but wow, it drives me up the wall. The next thing is the weight. The Stanley is SOOO heavy when filled. I'm at a desk a large part of the day, so my cup tends to sit to one side of me. I've only had the cup a few weeks and I am experiencing a constant straining feeling in my pinky and ring fingers all the way down to my knuckles, even when not using the cup. It's crazy and it's 100% from the weight of the cup and where my fingers naturally grip the handle. What to do?
Well, based on this video, I went to Target and picked up a Reduce (same Glacier color too b/c I thought it was sooo pretty!) on sale for only $22. It's like night and day. Pretty color, keeps the water cold, cheaper, the lid is so much easier to put and take off, the straw is centered, and it's lighter enough that my fingers aren't straining when holding it. Oh, and they did away with the brass bottom and it's now an improved silicon, skid-proof bottom. I feel so awful that my husband paid so much for the Stanley, but wow, I like the Reduce so much better. I'll still use the Stanley, but I think it will now just be a weekend/in the car cup only.

Wow you nailed! Thank you for sharing with us. Now I need one with the silicone bottom, maybe if the new 50 oz ones come that way?! 🤔

@@kailiekay They do! And that mint color that they came out with in the 50oz is drop dead gorgeous. 😍🫠

@@katiemc66 omg you're right! Just looked them up on Amazon, the forest green is calling me! May need to put it on my Christmas list. 🤤 The only thing that would make it better is a leak proof lid to throw in a bag.

Why are you scrubbing your lid so hard to scratch it?

I don't, it's just sensitive to the scrubby side on my sponge.

You people are ridiculous. Stanley has made a total fool of you. Why would I spend $50 on a silly cup? There are so many cups that are just as good.

I don't like reusable cups that have exposed straws. You are going to carry it around all day, everyday, and then put your mouth on it? Ewww....

I could totally see this! I want to try some of the newer brands that have more discreet straws.

let’s be real everyone likes to get dupes, but usually dupes when it comes to this one. The material is not gonna be the same. It doesn’t do what the original actually does why waste my money I mean, if you’re going for the actual look then yeah by all means get the dupe, but I mainly got the original because I wanted to test out what everybody was talking about but it actually does.

How are you liking your Stanley? I think it's great for the colors and that it fits my cup holders better. But I like the Reduce straw placement. Stanley is a much more sleek cup though!
