Hydro flask has a straw that folds down! It’s heavy but the handle is easier to hold and carry because I just hook my finger on it. Also reduce makes a dupe and the handle is so much better! It’s also way more affordable
@@kaitlingreco They also have a FreeSip water bottle that has a built-in straw that's hidden underneath the lid, as well as an mouth you can lift and drink from, which may satisfy your request for a straw that can be covered. I have one and I love it. ☺️
Honestly I love mine, but those are all valid points. They do have stainless steel water bottles with compact-able straws and handle on the lid that might be exactly what you’re looking for
@2:35 The water wasn't very cold even thou u still had ice in it??? I don't understand why wasn't the water very cold and u still had ice in it and you said that was a pro you said??? It should be very cold right? Just trying to understand just asking 🙏♥️
The straw is a deal breaker for me. I have 2 Yeti cups. The appeal for me is the lid. I like how quiet it is to open and close, and the magnetic top is removable for easy cleaning. It doesn't keep stuff cold for a really long time. I put a frozen smoothie in it for church. At first it freezes up, but then it melts. It isn't super cold for hours. It does stay cool enough that I can keep it in my hot car while running errands and it won't get hot, but it doesn't stay cold either. The same goes for not staying hot for a long time. It doesn't take long for my hot coffee to be cooled down enough to drink. I think the clear plastic lids affect their ability to keep the temperatures stable. There's nothing insulating about the lids.
Hi, just wanted to let you know that there are other Stanley’s if you are interested! I don’t think you’ll need it being that you have two yetis, but there are Stanley’s with metal lids with a foldable straw and ones that twist open just like the yeti! 😊
I just ordered the Standley Target Terrazzo Pearlescent for 2 reasons: to see what hype is about and thinking it would be great this summer at the beach. I will say there are other bottles that will keep you drink icy cold for days. I have one, it was a gift.. I will say you do need multiple cups for different purposes. I have a water bottle that daily travel, it fit easy on the side of my backpack.. but it’s not insulated. Then I have my gifted bottle I love in the summer for walks travel because it keeps your drink cold cold. I don’t think we will ever get that one purpose bottle. I hate having to carry cups and what not… but it’s hard to find a coffee non drip.. well they just don’t last long. I have a Swell non drip but my coffee is cold by the time I get to work now. Anyway thanks for keeping it real. I hope to use my Standley for vacation or days or hot summer days I’m just relaxing/ off . Not gone travel with it I can see myself dropping it lol
There are so many bottles were you can flip the straw over so it’s closed completely shut and won’t leak at all. I personally love The coldest water bottle but pretty much every big insulated bottle company has these things, even Stanley. When I go to work I would never use an open cup like this, but when I am at home or I am running errands were I am in an out of the car all day and leave my cup in the cup holder I prefer a more open design. I don’t know why, it just feels comfortable to have the lose straw when I can. Also I use the flip straw bottles only for water and the regular straw bottles for flavoured drinks or milk drinks because I can change the straw when it gets stained or retains flavour.
If the straw is a deal breaker for you, don’t fret! On Amazon or many other places they sell these little lid type of things and there’s many cute ones that you can just equip on your Stanley and it’s super light so no worries about that, I’m getting a Stanley in October and I am hyped!
I like my Stanley cup.💕 i have the rose quartz color. I carry it to work everyday and it fits lovely in my cup holders. The texture is pretty, unique colors, keeps my water cold and not heavy. To each it’s own. It depends on what you need a water cup for
I’m really glad I watched this video, the bottle is so aesthetically pleasing but if it’s hard to carry around that’s a con. Thank you for your honest feedback
Thanks for being truly honest. I’m pretty petite, so it sounds like holding and lifting it when full would be awkward for me. I have plenty of smaller options that maybe have to be refilled during the day but that might be easier for me to handle. At the end of the day, it’s more a status symbol than a superior water bottle.
Like others have said in the comments, I totally appreciate your honesty! I have been wanting one of these for a while and it's good to know the pros and cons :)
I woke up today to a mysterious package on my porch. I didnt think much of it, lots of mail going in and out for the holidays. Lo and behold, upon opening the box, what do I see? A FRIGGIN STANLEY CUP! I was in shock. I've never ordered a stanley in my life. I thought there must be a mistake, or I'm being pranked. After taking a deep breath and centering myself, I realized that it was a work gift. I never wanted to be in this cult, the cult chose me. It's insane how this cup has permeated every nook and cranny of our lives.
Hydro flask sells the folding straw lid as an option. I use one for the gym and it’s leak proof! I did by this to keep in my car became my Hydro does not fit in the cup holder which is important o me as someone who commutes a lot.
I personally love my Stanley cups but thanks for your honest opinion. I wonder if you would like Stanley’s 30 oz Ice Flow Flip Straw Tumbler. It doesn’t have a big handle on the side of it, just one on the top. I think they are currently sold out on their website but Amazon has them. Just a thought! :)
I totally agree. Stanley does make a cup without handles and also has one that has a flip straw. Those would probably be better fits for the creator of this video personally. Maybe a little more research next time?
100% Owala all the way I work at a daycare and the Owala is my go to water bottle for work, travle and just at home ! I am even having my bridesmaids all get matching Owala water bottles with me for my wedding
I’m going to have to disagree with you about the fact that they are sold out. I’m not seeing this video is bad I love this video. It’s great, but I went to. Four different stores, and they were all sold out in the one that I did find was the last one at Dick’s, and it was one that someone was returning😅
Love my Stanley, don't use the straw. Had a Yeti with no handle and this works so much better, can have my hands full and still can hook a finger over the handle and carry it too. Spouse had a 30 oz Yeti, the handle was uncomfortable and the lid dribbled, so he got a Stanley too. We like em!
Check out the brand Coldest. The one I have comes with 3 different top options and you can even get a strap to carry the cup over your wrist or shoulder so you can be hands free. I love mine.
I definitely appreciate your honest review! That’s a lot of money for a cup that I know won’t fit in my car with that huge handle. I have Yeti’s so no need to spend the money. Have a great weekend Kaitlin!🥰
I contemplated this for about 7 months. I was gifted the 30oz version (perfect size for me) as well as the 20 ounce with no handle (perfect for the gym) I’m so happy with the 30 ounce because my hands are small! I have only had the ZAK cups from target, for several years. I’m happy to upgrade.
Takeya has a bottle like that, where the straw folds in, and the bottles are great. I have several! I don't think I need this, now. I only really wanted it for home, and it can't go in the fridge anyway. Thank you!
Thanks so much for this info!! I would recommend the 30 oz for everyone because you could just refill it in my opinion and also the 40oz is so heavy (I don’t have a Stanley just an opinion)
Yo66're cmparison isn't accurate. The Stanley you havee is a 40 oz while your yeti looks like 30 oz plus that yeti won't fit in your car cup holder while the stanley does. As well, the stanley is "tall and slim" and the yeti is "short and fat" (reason why iit won't ft in car cup holder.
Oh, and you don't menton that the Stanley's cover also gives you the "sip" option without the straw. With the Yeti you needs another cover for the sip option. Honestly I really didn't see much comparison with the Yeti - I believe lack of familiarity with both is the problem. I have the 30 oz Stanley and a Yeti. Stanley, in my opinion and based on experience with both, Stanley is my top-rated one.
I don’t get this Stanley thing. My thermoflask, simple modern, yeti, and Rtic cups are all amazing. All hold ice for well over 24 hours, all fit in cup holders, and my thermoflask and simple modern cups can be tossed into my bags and kids backpacks with no leaks. They can also be dropped and just picked back up.

You’re really exaggerating, you’re really looking for reasons to bash it. I mean..the handle is too big for small hands??? Come on!! I love my Stanley cup
I love my Stanley; I just had to add a boot on the bottom that helps keep it in the holder better and prevents it from getting scratched.
My friend sent me one from north America, I live in Brazil. After floating in the ocean for over two months, it still had ice in it 😮
No way
