- @puppy_BYTE will demonstrate how to create a bootable latest puppylinux iso (CE4.iso) USB stick that will boot to either legacy or UEFI PCs. Also will have persistence so can use even in PCs without internal HD. A truely portable USB stick.
I: partition USB using UEFI
II: CE4 install
III: check with UEFI/legacy PC for persistence.

Great job. Thanks for the tutorial. Why use ext4 instead of f2fs since this is a USB drive, would it not be more performance with the f2fs formatting? I'm following this tutorial but am using a 232gb USB flash drive. Much more capacity than a 16gb!
Thanks for the content.
Keep up the good work.

I am not sure f2fs has speed improvement over ext4. I am lazy I learned with ext4 and stuck with it, a creature of habit...
I've been able to install all my favorite linux distro's onto flash drives and made them bootable with uefi and legacy. simple. just use ventoy to boot each iso. install in uefi mode then later add legacy. easy and has worked on all distro's except elementary.
nice to know, I think also possible to have persistency in Ventoy but I find this is easier if persistency is needed, thanks for commenting.
@@puppy_BYTE after booting the iso, use the live to install a full install to a usb flash drive. it's completely usable and keeps every setting as if it were installed on a hd. I didn't care to try and run an iso and keep changes. too much trouble. usb's are cheap. samsung bar plus 3.1 128gb $15. it copies lots of tiny files fast so it works great.
