Well done Cory, enjoy your sweet refreshed engine.
Thank you Sir!
I don't know how to thank you for making this wonderful video, maybe it saved me a lot of money, very good job very well explained and done 👌 greetings from a distant country, here in the southernmost sona in the world, good luck and health, long journey to land rover series
Thank you Sir!! I’m glad you enjoyed and found the video useful. Many miles for you in the future.
Thank YOU Cory. It's not hard to make it to the end of such great videos. Thanks for sharing I learnt a ton and will be doing some of this soon on my petrol 2A.
Thank you Sir!! Good luck with your 2A!!
Awesome Cory! Congratulations! It sound good and smooth! Firing evenly too!
Thank you Sir!! She’s purring like a kitten now!!
Heavenly sound! I just came across your video!
Welcome! Glad you are here! Sweet sounds of the angels. 😀👍
Great to see the engine all back together and running smoothly! Well done Sir! Looks like you have finally resolved the cooling issues perfectly! I'm looking forward to some dashcam videos when you start taking it out again. Some great tips in there, thanks Cory!
Thank you Sir!! Hopefully get some miles on her in the future!!
Congratulations!! Sounds beautiful. I need to replace the rings on my petrol. 🙄
Thank you Sir! Good luck on your rings.
Great!
Thank you Sir!
😊
Haven’t watched this yet but I’ve seen the notification and will watch it now, I’m sure it will be excellent! I saw on Facebook something about you and a disco 1, this was a while back so I can’t remember where it was I saw you mention it, but I was wondering if it would be possible if we could have a vid made on this disco? 👍
Thank you for watching or soon to be watching. 😀 Good eye my friend. I do have a 200TDI D1. I plan to have a couple videos on it but not a whole lot. Hopefully have a few over-landing videos this summer with the Series 2A and the D1.
شكراً أحسنت
Would have been nice to see you adjust the tappets
That’s a good idea. I’ll put together a video for adjusting the tappets the TDC way. Worked a lot easier. Thank you for watching!!
What about thickness of the head gaskets? Engine sounds great
The thickness is stock. They didn’t offer different thickness for the head gasket. Not quite a precise as new diesel engines. Newer diesels do have specific thickness but not the old 2.25 LR diesel’s.
@@conrad1468 Thanks a Lot for the quick Response.
Hola muy interesante tus vídeos te digo desde Uruguay te quería preguntar qué luz deberían tener los anillos del pistón al hacer un cambio de anillos desde ya muchas gracias saludos cordiales
Thank you Sir!! I am glad you enjoyed it from Uruguay! The piston ring gap is in the Land Rover repair manual. 2.25 Petrol is .015-.020 inch. 2.25 diesel is upper ring .014-.019 inch and middle and lower is .010-.015 inch.
Muchas gracias por la información un abrazo a la distancia!!!
@@fernandosuarez1528 you are very welcome!! Have a great day!
Be careful oiling head and valve rocker bolts. It will invalidate the torque settings, which (as far as I know) are meant for a clean, dry bolt.
You are correct. Oil vs dry definitely makes a difference in the value. I couldn’t find any info if the bolts should be dry or oiled. I’ve always cleaned threads, oiled bolt or nuts with a torque value. I just put a little dab of normal oil to make it easier to install. Not really really anything crazy. Thank you for watching!!
