My wife and me just completed a Hilton timeshare sales pitch in Vegas. We did not buy anything just because of these sales tactics, which seemed smart in the perspective of a sales rep but scammy in the perspective of a potential customer. Very stupid indeed.
Ah, Joe, I'm so glad you took the time to sit through a presentation! It's always refreshing to hear feedback. It's interesting how 'smart' sales tactics can seem 'scammy' when you realize you're just too clever to be swayed by the prospect of luxurious, prepaid vacations. But hey, I'm sure you and your wife will find some other way to enjoy those dream holidays every year, for the rest of your life. Until then, we'll be here, continuing our 'stupid' work of turning skeptics into satisfied vacationers. Safe travels!
Loved the video! I'm so glad you are giving so many great tips to us consumers who, on principle, refuse to fall into the timeshare trap!!! Keep it coming 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You bums are the ones on a timeshare presentation welfare program in order to go on vacation. Wasting hours of your spouses precious vacation time (likely less than a week because you’re a scrub that waited all year for and cut coupons scraped Pennie’s together etc) just to get a discount. Certified mooch/ loser and you think you won. Hilarious
Oh, I'm thrilled to hear from folks like you @whiskywillie. It's always delightful to see such enthusiasm for avoiding the 'trap' of a lifetime of fabulous vacations. You know, it's funny how principles can keep you from experiencing those endless sunsets at luxury resorts. But hey, stick to your guns! After all, those who fall into this 'trap' just keep coming back for more... Isn't it ironic how that works out? Don’t forget to let the rest of the miserable company know about how you stuck it to the man from your apartment living room.

It is amusing that the sales goal is to sell a product THE SAME DAY, because the industry KNOWS that no one comes back to buy a timeshare later. And, I bet no timeshare salesman will spend $20K on a car without thinking about it.
Timeshare sales rep #2 here, can confirm, I have $160,000 worth of vehicles sitting outside right now that required no more than 20 minutes of thought to purchase. Even more interesting when you consider we even purchased our home in an astounding 1 hour. Perhaps the difference is not in the products that fulfill needs for consumers, but in the consumers ability to know what they need and to make a simple choice based on the need and ability to purchase.
This guy thinks he can sell ice to an Eskimo. However, only a dumb, insecure Eskimo would fall for it. A smart, confident Eskimo would just tell him to shove it.
Much more of a Frontline pitch, and since I’ve been doing In-House Sales for so many years now I forget Frontline angles, but moving the objection to an incentive and value instead of price is a practice I wish I could get every Frontline rep and TO to adopt. In my experience, it works FAR better than talking price. Instead of the deal and the price, change the topic to value and, more specifically, what would add enough value to the product to make you take advantage of it today. I was a little skeptical when I clicked on this because I see a lot of failed sales reps on YT trying to “teach” other how to sell timeshare. I can tell you’ve actually been in the industry and actually understand it, just by this video alone. Good stuff, my friend, and hopefully it helps someone 💰
I went to a timeshare presentation last week. I wrote NO in big letters twice on his paper showing the price. Then I used tick mark every time I verbally said no. I was up to 8 no’s before the sales guy got angry with me and wanted to actually fight me! I told him to step outside and I don’t mind going to jail over this. Then he backed off and gave me my free gift incentive and walked away.
It’s not worth it folks! Rapport to them equates to deceit and manipulation! They are not your friend, they do not like you, they will belittle you, and they can’t wait to take your money🤷🏾♀️
Oh, you caught us! We’re clearly twirling our mustaches, eagerly plotting how to turn rapport into deceit. Or, you know, we’re just professionals trying to show people the value of unforgettable vacation experiences. But hey, if you prefer to believe we’re the villains in your story, that’s your choice. Just remember, while you’re busy suspecting everyone and their mother’s brother is out there to get you, many of us and our owners will be enjoying our holidays and PTO in luxury villas around the world. Safe travels!
@@akshunwill Unironically, yes. He's literally talking about manipulating the client. If the product is so great, it should sell itself and not require high pressure "buy it now" sales tactics. The fact that there is an entire time share exit industry that has cropped up should tell you everything you need to know about the sleazy product you're selling.
What nobody does is remind this bloke that everything he’s describing IS attractive - as he’s described it during the hours and hours at the presentation. The problem is that not a shred of it is true. You find out days after the presentation that it’s nearly 100% rubbish but sadly for the poor chump who’s signed up the buyer’s remorse period has expired and he’s in the hole for hundreds of thousands over the next God-knows-how-many decades. It’s always intriguing how these companies are still permitted to operate within the US.
I’m a timeshare baby and I now sell timeshare because I grew up traveling. Stayed in accommodations you could never afford. Been to Sweden Germany Amsterdam Estonia Finland Norway Oahu Maui Kauai big island Bahamas and all over the states by the time I was 18 and on my own. The important thing is making sure you are joining a valuable company not a no name brand, you have enough points, and that you can afford it. Unfortunately some salesmen lie and paint a false picture of what the broke clients can do. And it ruins our reputation. Your plan is attend presentations with no intention of buying meaning saving 100 bucks is worth your vacation time and you have no problem wasting the reps time who needs to feed his family so ironically you’re the pathetic loser in the situation
Perhaps the proper question for you is, why do you keep wasting several hours of your precious time off with another timeshare company? Lmfao 😂😂😂 Imagine the fool you’d have to be to go into a restaurant while you’re hungry and ask the staff for service, and after looking at the menu for 2 hours, storm off in a tantrum because you don’t like the menu.
Ah yes, spending (at least) 2,400 a year for a “vacation” I can only take on 1 scheduled week per year, on top of “maintenance fees” is SUCH a good idea.
