How far does the course go? Does it go as far as the 'intermediate' level you demonstrated in this vid?
@@TyQuinn The Starter Course is like a full introduction to finger drumming, including all the important setup details, pad layout logic, basic drum patterns, etc. It focuses on just getting started, which is equivalent to Level 1 in this video.
After the Starter Course, I have a free Groove Training Workshop that starts to go into some more complex drum grooves and finger isolation, and then my full-length Foundation Course is a comprehensive lesson plan that will take you all the way through the intermediate level and beyond.

Stumbled on your channel as I was looking to move away from 'the grid' and incorporate more expressiveness. Great content! I'd love to see a video on finger drumming with sampled hand drums and percussion like the congos, djembe, and agogo. I'm struggling to wrap my head around achieving open tones, closed tones, etc. on a pad layout 😅😅

Do you know any drumming kits that work with FL Studio that are exactly 16 different buttons are made for a drum set like this one if you know what I mean that's that's exactly like that so you use out of the buns or do you often have to drag and drop to make your own kits
Hey, most drum VSTs have midi mapping, some even have a “learn” function where you hit the pad for the sound you want. I use that with ssd drums, but I think ez drummer, superior drummer, MT power drums all have that. Just go to the midi mapping. And it shouldn’t matter on the DAW, it’s mostly the drum VST that you would do the mapping through

yo only drums are cool but how about something more than just drums im thinking about making some tracks with layout for melodical instruments along with drums
You can totally do that if you want to! For me, I approach finger drumming just like playing a straight-up drum kit, because I came from a background in acoustic drumming and enjoyed I translated those skills onto the pads. That's the focus of my playing and teaching, is using finger drums like a percussion instrument rather than a sampler like it's normally used.
But you can do whatever you want, music is just about the joy of your unique creative expression!

I use Ableton for all my music production, and for the drums I use Addictive Drums just running as a VST plugin.
