Great to see so much enthusiasm among such a diverse group of people. Kind of surprised the IRS and USDA haven't infiltrated these types of gatherings yet......
This was really fun to watch Jason. You were really in your element! I loved seeing the chicken purse! That was so cool to see you meet John Suscovich! Cute balloon chicken transfer race! It's hard to get the lungs out of a turkey. Not so hard with a chicken. I didn't know they made a lung remover! I kind of liked that vacation chicken tractor mover! I'm sure you were a great speaker Jason! You gave great advice. Just get the chickens! I was so worried setting up the chickens before I got them and I over thunk it! I had never known about APPA. Thanks for this!
What a great conference - so glad you all have another learning resource and can make connections. Jason - you do very well at interviewing people! Thanks for posting this video. God bless.
Great video, Jason... FYI... Let the young folk know.... I will NEVER watch tik tok ...EVER........ I was so glad to see highlights of the conference. Very well done...
I am excited to see where you take your homestead. When you had Justin over to see your pastures and he was like, you should go for it! And you did, I knew your journey was about to get really good. And yep, you should go for it! xoxo
This was probably the best conference we attended. Very well organized and put together. I'm glad we got the chance to chat with you since we didn't get to chat much at the Homestead Festival.
I have been a fan of your videos from the start and your family inspires me to do more myself even though I'm much older than you. You have a very wholesome way of showing us what you're doing, not like a know it all but more like a friend, and the funny things you do are wonderfully real.
I was a first-time attendee at the APPPA conference and will never miss another one! You did a phenomenal job with your presentation. Thank you so much for sharing your story and taking the time to chat after. If you ever decide to mentor, I would love to learn from you!
Jason, of all the events you have been to that you have shown this was the best. I learned a lot and was happy you got information on so many vendors that I will be checking out for sure. And yes I'm interested in attending this next year myself. We'll done. And fyi, the short bit I saw of your stand up looked great. Be proud of yourself, you deserve it 👏. Have a great day 🌤 😀 👍🐓🦃🦆
I'm an Aussie who has been trapped in Commiefornia (for various reasons) for over 30 years; currently residing in a 'box' (track housing in a HOA). My hubby and I are FINALLY beginning the search to move, hopefully to NC. Your videos inspire me greatly and keep me going (sometimes through tears) knowing that even in my 50s, I CAN (with God's help) do this!
Look at you. From a desk in a little cubicle to beating cancer to being an expert speaker and teacher. Thank you so much for not giving up. Something tells me your wife had alot to do with this. And the little baby that gave hope to a difficult situation who grew up into a wonderful, helpful young lady. Well, I'm turning into a bucket of mush.
What is sad is that we have moved so far away from are past that we now need to have conference‘a like this to learn how to raise animals and vegetables that was the way just a normal way of life for are ancestors a few generations ago. I am 60 and this was normal life for both of my parents growing up.
Such a valuable confrence. I appreciated how willing they are to share their knowledge with all levels. You sharing this should increase the attendance for next year. Thanks, Jason.
Thanks good video , I started out of school 1957 packing eggs, I love the feel of eggs, I now just have 5 hens and a pair of geese, Had at one time geese. chickens. goats, cows. sheep rabbits and yes Pigs, Your right I m still learning new things, about farming, to bad no Y T when I had my Farm, would have loved the chicken tractors
We just have 5 hens in the backyard but somehow we feel a sense of belonging and community, thanks to your great videos and all the other homesteaders documenting their work. I know it's a lot of hard work to be constantly filming and creating interesting content; thanks for keeping going!
Great video! I had hoped to attend this year so maybe next year. This video was great!! We’ve entering our 3rd year with raising our own meat chickens and we’ve learned so much from you!!
Most enjoyable . . . your talk seem like it was going to be fun . . . so happy to see this movement grow . . . in my childhood I experienced the end of the previous homestead lifestyle. Cheers.
Great Vid Jason. You are really going places! I watch many people who buy chicken feed from TS & their chickens hav stopped laying eggs, & wen they started feeding feed they made themselves, they started laying again. Im sure its just a councidence.
That looked like a great conference, Jason. I do hope you get to go to the conference every year from now on. I know from personal experience, in attending work related conferences, you never come back home without having learned some new things to make your own experience more rewarding. Thanks for sharing this one with us and have a Blessed day.
OH MY GOD When I heard on your channel you were in Texas I was so SAD I Wish I could of met you!!!! Next Year let us know if you come I live in North Texas I been following since you moved from California. You inspire me in the past to move to my homestead it's been hard but I did it love you I feel that in the future you will probably start to sell chickens!!!! You and your Wife are AMAZING!!!
I absolutely loved this video Jason👍🏼 I’m an old school farming gal that just loved some of the new ideas! Some were a little far fetched for me, but still some good ideas! Ty
As our primary food sources become centered on $ instead of a healthy population, I feel homesteaders will restore our health and focus with how we look at our food.
Very motivating, thank you from Australia. We can’t sell pasture raised poultry here unless they are still moving but we can raise for ourselves who live on the property, legally. Very controlled here.
I wish I knew how to find out where our resources are in Indiana for wholesome farmer's markets. I would MUCH rather buy from a local farmer than a grocery store!
Very interesting the more you learn about what’s available the better you are able to build efficiency although some of it looks beyond the average farmers ability to afford despite being marketed to them. Seems counterintuitive to me. But what do I know I’m still in the dreaming of owning property one day stage! 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦
did you get any information if you should try turkeys again? Good to know all these different people available for building a business and being self sufficient.
This conference was set at a critical time when chickens are in the news. Thank you for sharing.

Joe from Joe’s Farm in Three Rivers MI. We had a cottage there on Clear Lake.
Amazing!
Thank you

Looks like you did a great job! -Mike
Have you all tried the new coffee grind bedding? I love it!!!
The aluminum chicken tractor from LaGrange Indiana. Was that an Amish company?

I definitely need the lung remover
Very interesting.
did you get any information if you should try turkeys again? Good to know all these different people available for building a business and being self sufficient.
Jason, I’m in SoCal. I put down wood chips to limit water bill and grass. Can you grow/rotate them on woodchips, as opposed to pasture??
