Thank you for acknowledging the bass. Most reactors get so taken aback by Kate and Tiffany's soprano work that the guys get lost. The whole reason their chords sound so thick and resonant is that there's harmony parts spread across three or four octaves instead if the usual two. Not possible without the bass!
To be fair, almost all the RUclips acapella groups have amazing basses. Very few of them have more than one female singer, Voctave is the only one that I know of that has a coloratura soprano.
Sarah Coleman these basses are better than Tim and Geoff. Those guys use heavy mic'ing and bass boosting to hit low notes with power. Avi would be the only one that might fit in, but these basses truly are just on a higher level. Subtlety is a lesson most acappella basses need to learn that this group has learned.
Ironically, usually the tenors and altos get lost most in the harmonies because they make up the middle. It’s easier to hear the highest and lowest notes than the people that fill the middle.
Kate, Tiffany, Sarah, Ashley and Chrystal are FANTASTIC!!!! The arrangements are always AMAZING! the bass section rocks! The choir kid in me is geeking out so hard to this! #VoctaveIsAmazing #90'sNostalgia #DisneyBaby
I get giddy and laugh on every single performance. Individually they are all amazing and in the top 1% of all voices on the planet. Together they are the 1% of the top 1% and it just cant get any better.
Wow! Talk about nostalgia. All my favorite Disney movies from my childhood that I now share with my children done so beautifully it brings a tear to the eye. They're just amazing, each and every one of them have flawless voices. I'd have never heard of them if not for your reaction videos so thank you for showing them the love they definitely deserve!
"Small world" comment: 25+ years ago Sarah (redhead alto who is 3rd soloist) sank with our daughters in a children's chorus. In 1994, the chorus travelled to sing on stage at Disney World. Our youngest (& Sarah, I believe) had solos in one of the pieces the group performed. As a pro, Sarah returned to work at Disney before joining Voctave.
I completely enjoyed watching your reaction. From the sub-basement to the tippy top penthouse notes... you heard and acknowledged them all. I think I was making some of the same faces. 😊
in this crazy time we're living in right now, having the ability to watch RUclips and virtuosi like Voctave is fantastic. Their music is beyond great. It, of course, makes me think of Disney and the innocence of childhood... As a music teacher in Honolulu for over 26 years, I love teaching kids the joy of making music.... When all of 'this' is done, I will never, ever take life for granted again. You sir, would be on my list of 'someone to have a beer with'. How about we go to Epcot and have a beer in every country (I almost completed this challenge about 10 years ago)? Aloha.
Yes! Been looking forward to this reaction ever since your first voctave video! To keep the disney videos going i suggest Nick Pitera One man disney movie medley! Have a good day Brad!
Someone you might not have heard of ! Mo Pitney, a young Country singer that sings the old fashioned country way ! Hope you understand what I mean by that. Try his version of “ don’t you ever get tired of hurting me “ I promise you will not be disappointed ! Thank you in advance.
Oh dude the first time and every time I watch this I cry! It is overwhelming how awesome they are. Everyone could take a lesson from Pocahontas right now.
Voiceplay has an AMAZING rendition of a " Moana" medley! It'll drop your jaw, and they have songs that others cannot usually compete with and do it justice! Check them out! Love your genuine reactions, and sense of humor! Congrats on the steady rise in subscription supporters! 👏👍

6:48 Soprano hits a brain-melting high note, *Brad dies* somehow drags himself back to life... soprano hits another awesome high note.

Watching Brad's face when they hit a note he likes is the face you make when you move and realize your foot fell asleep.
I get giddy and laugh on every single performance. Individually they are all amazing and in the top 1% of all voices on the planet. Together they are the 1% of the top 1% and it just cant get any better.

I love your Voctave reactions...silence...because you are stunned by perfection!
That note Brad, that amazing note, was an F6,sustained, sung by Kate ( first soprano soloist ) as if it was normal to be up there !

I think this works so well because the background sings support the soloist so well.

You should do one of those 'split-screen a capella' videos where you sing every part - you have an obviously skilled set of pipes!
React to Sohyang from Korea! She is one of, if not the best female vocalist I feel!
Stunning
