Enjoy the vid fellas! Quite an interesting and simultaneously spooky one if you ask me - being plagued by persistent nightmares of the Flood and believing the Arbiter and Rtas formed a pact with the Gravemind to infect the Covenant is uhhh... Quite something...
My question: why did the Prophets actually try to fire the rings while they were in range, and why did truth try to use the ark, knowing it would leave him nothing to rule?
That in lies the problem... Sangheili held too much military influence for the San'shyuum to be comfortable with. So they attempted to even the playing field; providing warriors of *their own race* to fight alongside the elites. How is that inconsistent with what we know of the hierarchy's paranoia?
Pls talk about the Prophet Zo Resken, he allied with the Elites during the Great Schism and fully knew that the Great Journey was a lie, he is known as the only "good" Prophet.
@@tallonmetroids271 Yes he was. He sacrificed a Forerunner relic to save a female San'shyuum. Imagine all the augmentations that the pelates had, but then take an already strong race, say an elite or brute, and give them those augmentations. I feel like an augmented elite would be able to go toe to toe with the chief, considering the times in the lore that the chief was nearly killed by unaugmented members of both species.

@Noah Fleming It would be interesting if they served as his Shadow Hands. An elite circle of killers without thought. They only respond to Atriox and Atriox alone.
These guys are the true Covenant Spartans. Someone once made a video called "THE COVENANT VERSIONS OF SPARTANS!!! *LETHAL* !!!" And they were just talking about Elite Fleet admirals, which are just incredibly highly decorated military commanders, not supersoldiers. These Prelates on the other hand, they have been highly trained, highly modified, and can be properly classified as the true Covenant Spartans!
Well, while Elite Fleet admirals aren't supersoldiers, those who became worthy of those ranks were so skilled and genetically gifted that they might as well have been. For example, the Imperial Admiral of the Covenant, who held the highest military rank possible in the Covenant fleet, was a whopping 11 ft tall elite. He was bigger than most brutes, and physically stronger and faster than a lot of them too. He had also never lost a fight. Until a nuke took out his ship. But yeah, being very skilled and genetically gifted isn't the same as a supersoldier.
@t rr Nah. It wouldn't make sense if it did. Do u know more about that 11ft tall Elite? I'd like to know more about this guy and wonder if he'd be able to beat Master Chief or the Arbiter. xD

Rtas 'Vadum honestly is the coolest character from halo. Maybe even one of my favourite characters from any story/game/book/movie! I want a game based on him!
Even if the brutes recieved full naval training, it would be still near impossible to beat Elite Shipmasters due to 2 reasons. 1) The Elites have centuries of Naval experience as fleet commanders, something training cant give. 2)Elites are much more calable of thinking outside the box i.e Shipmaster Rtas Vadum and the Arbiter during his Supreme Commander days. So it would be very difficult to destroy an Elite Fleet even if the Brutes had a number advantage.
They should have made Shadow of Intent a spin-off game, it was really interesting. I miss Rtas 'Vadam....plus if anyone deserves a spinoff game, its him.

I always imagined the hierarchs secretly formed a joint covert spec ops/hit squad with the sole purpose of hunting down Spartans. Recruiting the deadliest warriors from each covenant race turning them into their own supersoldiers: a brute warlord, a jackal sniper, a grunt demo specialist, a former zealot swordmaster or a silent shadow stealthmaster, veteran pair of hunters like colony in hw2, even an arbiter leading them. A prelate would be a nice addition. They would serve as boss fights too if you ever encountered them in the games.
I love how the human Spartans have become such a legendary threat to the Covenant that they have to put tremendous effort in to possibly countering the Spartans. And still Spartans keep getting more deadly as they continue on.
Connecting the dots at the end of this video when you see the ring blowing up at the end of Halo 2 realizing he’s the one who blew it up, gives me goosebumps. Great story.
You forgot about Dhas 'Bhasvod, the prelate stationed on the Ark during Halo Wars 2 and Troy Denning's "Divine Wind". Now, I don't know if those titles came out when the video was posted, but Dhas was a very different case than the "last living prelate" listed in the video. He firmly believed in the Covenant, and by extension, the Prophets were still alive, and even had classified proof of it.
This makes me think, why didn't truth turn himself into one of them? Clearly he would be physicaly superior to defend himself and could have been an awesome boss fight
I assume he learned the layout of the ship via blueprints the covenant still had or by exploring other ships of the same type, instead of learning the layout through dreams?
Prelate: Loses his wife and child because of things out of his control, struggles time and time again in nightmares recurring leading to that moment to stop it and prepare. I felt that on a spiritual level.
Making the Prelates rivals to the Spartans is fitting and ironic since they are the closest thing to the old San Shyuum who formed a formidable alliance with old humanity, which the Spartans themselves resemble
Love the video keep up the good work, also I've been thinking what if they made a game where you play as the forerunners during the end of the forerunner flood war and witness the firing of the rings or events leading up to that.personally I think that would be awesome.
Great vid as always man! Also have you ever considered doing one of your weapon lore videos on the armour and units seen in the Halo Wars games? (Always felt they were an under appreciated part of the lore)
No the prelates have more similarities with the spartans since both have genetical modifications and have the most advanced technology that the covenat or unsc can give them respectively. The elites in the other hand only a few can deal with a spartan and many them were killed by normal humans.

He firmly believed in the Covenant, and by extension, the Prophets were still alive, and even had classified proof of it.
Covenant: *have elites*
UNSC: I'll do you one better *makes spartans*
Covenant: I'll do YOU one better! *makes super prophets*
Covenant: "I'll do YOU one better!" *Makes brutes*
Also Covenant: *Makes super prophets*
UNSC: "Shit..."
every time i see a post from hidden xperia i get strait into the video, i love your content man.
didn't know that the Prophets had a Spartan like program. thanks for covering them
This makes me think, why didn't truth turn himself into one of them? Clearly he would be physicaly superior to defend himself and could have been an awesome boss fight
Perhaps it was his age. Maybe they don't always look like a scrotom.
A dream showed him the inside of a ship that he hasnt been on and where to find its commander? Yeah ok....I guess thats how dreams work in Halo
Super powerful Prelate: gets knocked out by a grunt
Don’t underestimate them by their height. They got the dwarf tank build.
Good job keeping that intro, never gets old
Genuinely love these story videos. Such good work i get goode bumps everytime
A very extremely great video as always HiddenXperia.
I have been waiting FOREVER for somebody to make a video about the Prelates
3 prelates: *show up*
1 Spartan: Then it is an even fight.
Future shipmaster: I’m gonna use that line one day.
Prophets: Mega soldier
Master chief: fancy ammo containers you got for me
Excellent video man, keep up the good work! Stay safe and healthy, big guy.
Me: huh. That is a WEEEEIRD lookin Elite.
Me just a few minutes later: THAT is a PROPHET?????
This sounds like it could have been an amazing boss. And that story was incredible. Hope we hear more about these guys in the future.
Thanks so much for making such great content! Please, please, keep making great videos!
He had such a tragic life. RIP, Tem. May you find peace with your wife and child.
They're so thin that a spartan could crunch them like jackal bones
Baller work, you earned my subscription buds!
Love the video keep up the good work, also I've been thinking what if they made a game where you play as the forerunners during the end of the forerunner flood war and witness the firing of the rings or events leading up to that.personally I think that would be awesome.
I’m so happy your doing covenant lore again
I want to hear more about Stolt, the bigger and stronger than normal grunt by the sound of it.
I've been waiting for this video for a long time
Damn story,if they make it own game it was gona be on fire
The prelets were busy dealing with banashed maby
Love these lore videos man. Paired with Marty’s music these videos are great entertainment. Keep it up brotha 👍🏻
I truly enjoyed this one. I love the lore videos 🙏🏽 keep em coming because I’m tired of this Halo Infinite drought
Imagine if R'tas grabbed tem after he dropped the grenades and took him to the shadow of intent and gave tem medical attention
Great vid as always man! Also have you ever considered doing one of your weapon lore videos on the armour and units seen in the Halo Wars games? (Always felt they were an under appreciated part of the lore)
I’ve always thought that the elites were the equivalent of the Spartans lol
They are
No the prelates have more similarities with the spartans since both have genetical modifications and have the most advanced technology that the covenat or unsc can give them
respectively.
The elites in the other hand only a few can deal with a spartan and many them were killed by normal humans.
dragon leo It will never make sense to me that a marine and kill and elite. Elites are like 2x their height with shields, armour, strength, and a flesh burning rifle.
@@Borgia5119 humans kill tanks. What's your point?
