The wait is over! (thanks internet lmao) Today we're taking a deep dive into the creepy, eerie, thought provoking and mind blowing lore behind ALL the Halo 2 AND Halo 2 Anniversary maps! Enjoy fellas
My first contact with Halo was with Halo 3 and I didn't knew multiplayer was a thing (I knew about splitscreen), so I constantly found myself on forge mode spawning vehicles and weapons and imagining that I was fighting either covenant or flood, god was I a lonely kid
I would LOVE to see Midship's remains floating around deep space, yet still in tact enough to be a map in Halo Infinite. I haven't seen many maps as a post-warzone in Halo. The closest I can say is Burial Mounds, even then, that's not a post-warzone remake of a map from a previous installment.
Regret from Halo 5 kinda falls under that category some but I would love to see an incarnation of Midship where it's a damaged husk in space with the original layout in tact
@@ToaOfFusion as for you. First, I can't tell what maps are the actual maps and what are just variants, 343 really fucked up there. They need to have UI options for the menu so people can have the classic halo selection where it was just the main map, and maybe a few variants. As for Regret, what is that an incarnation of?
It just me or is the ambience of some of these maps really calming? Especially the forerunner maps, they feel desolate but also somewhat alive with power still flowing through their walls.
As someone who didn’t play Halo 2 until MCC in 2014, there’s something really special about those Halo 2 maps to me aesthetically. I think it’s a combination of them being set in really interesting locations and the detail being just low enough that it leaves a lot to the imagination. They allow me to fill in the blanks and kinda make my own story.
Well, the wind isn't that intense at Zanzibar's time period, and if it was the case, playing War Games on an intense wind setting would be uncomfortable, to say the least.
In the level Regret, Cortana says that new structures were built around old ruins to protect and honor them. Did the ancient humans build the ruins, or were they made by the Forerunners?
It's possible the old ones were made by the Precursors. Wait, never mind. But when Hidden talks about structures transplanted by the Forerunners, that could be a possibility.
It looks like it's the other way around. Amazon blocked sellers from using FedEx because of their "delivery performance". They recently lifted that ban though
To be fair, Halo has had remakes and reimaginings since Halo 2. Coagulation is Blood Gulch, Battle Creek is Beaver Creek, Tombstone is Hang 'Em High, Elongation is Longest, and so on. All of those are just examples of maps from CE that were put in Halo 2 in one way or another.
