If you let your flowers soak in sugar water before hanging them to dry, it preserves the colour a lot better! Also, hanging them somewhere dark is better. (Direct) light bleaches. Just my two cents as someone who loves dried flowers ;D Lovely video and amazing aesthetic.
This might be a ridiculous question but do you soak the whole flower (stem and petals and everything) or do you just add sugar to the water in the vase and let the stems sit in the water like normal?
I once expirimented a little and put a bunch of grasses and flowers in a bottle which I filled with rubbing alcohol. The water turned green after a while and when I removed it I realised the all the flowers had turned completely white/beige. It wasn't what I went for, but having a bottle filled with completely white plants sitting on my desk looked pretty cool, they had a very classy, ghostly vibe.
Little piece of advice: I never put my flowers in any precious books because even with the paper the pages can get wavy. And as all my books are imposant to me, I just put the paper with the flowers between two books instead of pages. I also use newspapers instead of regular paper because they absorb the moisture better.
Oh, great trick! I also wouldn't recommend placing the flowers in between the pages of books, because the pages get stained from the moisture from the flowers. I often put them between paper and lately, I've been using pieces of laminate boards to press them.
@@anushkajariwala129 not if you use plain black and white pages. Pictures or glossy pages from advertiments can be tricky, but these also dont work as well because the gloss is not so good for absorbing moisture
I Love this place, I mean, your channel. Its safe, its peaceful, makes me wanna build my own "safe-place", and It shows me that this safe-place is in my soul. Thank you for everything, for every video, for every song, for you calm voice and for every single small thing in your videos. You are an inspiration to my creative proccess and i just can say thank you very much for this.
Thank you for posting this video. My dad recently passed away and my family wants to preserve the roses that were on his casket and I think your video showed very easily how to do that
Every time my boyfriend buys me flowers, I like to preserve at least one from the bouquet. Right now I have some being pressed, which I want to eventually frame between two pieces of glass
This inspired me to go out and pick a couple of these beautiful soft purple flowers that are down the street from my house, every time I go for a walk I run my fingers along the soft buds and watch the bees buzz around them. I would love to keep that memory in a journal ❤️ I love your channel by the way!!!
you do not even know how much i love your videos.they are literally so aesthetically pleasing and really calming.the way you edit, film and even talk is just fabulous.i love it!
This is the most aesthetically pleasing video I’ve ever seen. I love your dainty aesthetic and your shots are very nicely done. Very beautiful video! I’ll be sure to try drying flowers and plants because I love what you do with them!
One of my favorite memories as a child was gathering some autumn leaves and my mother helping me iron them between two pieces of waxed paper. They are pretty on their own, but viewed through the wax paper they are lovely too. Gathering different kinds of leaves is a good opportunity to teach children of all ages what kind of trees the leaves fell from. And putting them between wax paper allows you to make them into a book or a journal. The leaves should continue to dry and that is a way of preserving them and cataloging them as well.
I thank God I found your channel. I have a bunch of flowers from my Moms Day. I like to preserve this as souvenir from my children! Thank you! God bless! Subscribed!
All I can say is thank you for every single video and for putting so much love on them!! You're an artist and your videos are so true and genuine! Thank you thank you!!
I just thought yesterday that I wanted to know how to preserve flowers etc and you made the video just a day after!!Thank you,it was really helpful!!Also a moment of appreciation for your beautiful, calm and clear voice that soothes me and your cozy and magical aesthetic!!💕🙌🏻🍂✨
It's a very beautiful dried flower! I also have some dried flowers in my room. It is very beautiful and healed every day. It was a very nice video! I will come to play again. With love from Japan :)
Usually when a youtuber speaks about their promo codes, it annoys me so much. They mention it more than necessary. "HEY GUYS USE MY CODE BLAH123 AND GET 5% OFF BLAH. DO IT NOW! SO YEAH..." Jordan does it so nicely and at perfect times. So profesional.
Wow, great video! After watching this I'm now drying flowers for the first time in my life, they look so pretty hanging up too. Love your channel btw so glad I found this. 🌻

chocolateyCOOKIES lol just let the stems sit in the water so they suck up the diluted sugar
Mackenzie Graham haha thanks so much 👌🏻
silly question: how do the petals of the roses not fall off?? Haha
LeishaC they dont if you hang them upside down
this makes me want to go outside and collect flowers
luna YES SAME
That's one of the few reasons I ever go outside 😂
Than GOOOOO, what stoppin' u?
It’s snowing so I can’t :((
i just did hehehe

Hey, do you soak the flowers in the alchohol or just let their stems absorb it?
i have the same doubt
tutorial please ... :)
Cool :0
it reminds me of sach’s experiment

Linda Kirste I just use really old dictionaries my dad has 😂

If you put them between the newspaper, doesn’t the ink get on the flora?

I pressed a rose and a sunflower once. They looked so weird pressed but I still like them.
LOL
