I love the first one, "Sommerabend". I didn't know Brahms wrote nice music like that. And this guy's singing really is amazing. Must look up more of his work.

I'd take a little imperfection (within reasonable boundaries) over emotionless singing, ANY DAY.
Brahms was never an advocate of pitch correction.
+Timothy White Do you have a source for that claim? Hard to believe, given that he had perfect pitch!
My source is that pitch correct wasn't invented until hundreds of years after he died.
You must be talking of a different Brahms in a parallel universe. The one I am talking about whose songs Bostridge sings here died 1897.
Geef mij maar Bernarda Fink voor Brahms liederen ! Dit zegt me hoegenaamd niets, allemaal veel te traag, en de intonatie is ook niet helemaal in orde.
Ben het helemaal met jou eens, behalve daar waar je zegt dat het te traag is. . Bostridge moet steeds weer naar de juiste toon toeglijden, heel irritant. Geef mij maar Brahms prachtige pianopartijen. Hulde voor Saskia Giorgini. Ik prefereer de baritonuitvoeringen van Olaf Bär en Geoffrey Parsons, piano.
