Dear Mr. Purvey, thank you for posting this video, my name is Morris A Curry Jr better known as "Cooksey" who was the Drum Major of the Matching 101 Lions from 1964 to 1968 under the Direction of Dr William E. Sims and Mr. Northington. I was proud to represent our band alumni at this 2018 Home coming as it was the celebration of the class of 1968's 50th Reunion. I am the gentleman at video counter mark #721 of this video. The band of 1964 to 1968 enjoyed being ranked 3rd in the nation behind #1 FAN U #2 Tennessee State. Thanks for not editing me out
Can't say that I blame the tuba players for taking it easy, lol. Awesome march out! Thanks for posting. I wondered how many times the drum majors have bopped each other over the heads with their batons during training - they are fierce! I gotta ask - who's coming in as that "second line"? Are they frats or alumni or…? They're killing it for sure.
This has brought tears to my eyes.. so proud of our next generation... high expectations fur you guys... we are cheering for you ♡♡♡
Love the alumni! It seems some of them kept their uniforms.
IDK if it's because of the camera but this gives me a early 2000s homecoming feel lol I like it
Looks like EVERYBODY had a damn good time! Drums sound better than some of the big boys.
