@@tommyleejr.1326 Lmao u are telling the truth with that surround sound comment. I was in Shreveport watching a parade when S.U passed by and I swear they almost blew me off the sidewalk. I will never stand that close to them again (Lol). They were the highlight of the parade. I miss seeing them.

I love this 10man parade block. True surround sound. SU and NSU are the only bands I love watching in parade block. They look and sound clean. Trombones are sending some heat. Anyone can stand and play, it's another beast to play and march in block formation.

Su has always had a 10 man front
I grew up in Portsmouth and NSU has always just been on to me. Went to TSU and had my 1st experience of SWAC bands. Shit changed my view forever.
10Man Front started when Doc left Old heads from way back in 80's & 90's said they had a 10 man front for special occasions such as President Inauguration Parade etc other than that SU we're traditionally a 8 man front until after Doc resigned... Ijs

Although I'm dci to the core, the pride and class of this band is remarkable. I met some of these guys over the summer, they are focused and very disciplined.. keep doin' whatcha do SU.
I noticed negative comments about Trevon's (DM) marching style. Give it a rest people he's gonna be alright. It's ok for him to tone it down when he gets tired.

This is so amazing. Their playing makes me cry... the classic songs I love.. I treasure how this is so culturally specific to us. I appreciate the commitment, the discipline , the talent of the students. I would love to experience this in person.. so exhilarating. Thanks.

Those band uniforms are thick and heavy.. miserable if it is warm out. Some of those hats are heavy.

Sir Edward Staten Damn so you mean we gotta see him again next year? He needs to go back and look at the traditional SU DM. They sit back in the cut. It’s not about him. He gets his shine for the 10-15 seconds at the beginning of the drill. He’s too up front for my liking.

Solid! I sadly am not verse in the traditions of SU drum majors, for reasons I cannot explain, but it seems demanding being a solo DM. However, I would be a marching fool and going in.....lol. Great job!

He's OK!A little awkward, but he's Marching about 9 blox from the former Alcee Fortier Sr High,that produced 2 of the coldest SU drummajors ever!!So excuse the crowd if they're not overwhelmed by his style!!

I think he fits in perfectly with the S.U. style of drum majors. He hasn't been in that position that long so let him get use to it.

I don't care what the reason is. I don't care if it protocol. I don't care what the law or the ordinance is. I am from New Orleans and I never like that the police walk through, stand in the way of the band. How do you walk through a university band when there is nothing going on. If there was a imposing threat or riot ok but I just hate that. I do understand but I don't have to like it. #MyOpinion. If anything they should be out there telling people to get to the side....

Sylvester Sekvage not all of them are campus police. If you watch Mardi Gras parades you will see NOPD through out standing in the middle of all bands.

Bianca Da Drummer and I wish i lived back in the bay area. I had a blast whenever i visited my relatives in southern Cal. The south is very different. U may like it but I prefer the west coast and Cali weather is the best.
