Its funny that you mention that shot in specific as its pulled directly from the Manga, although it was during the day and in a slightly different location. Its a moment referred to in the fandom as "the walk to Arlong park" because directly after this shot all 4 of them begin walking in unison to Arlong Park together in several different shots/frames showing how serious and determined they are to get their pound of flesh for Namis suffering.
Beth, I just found your channel tonight and I want to say how incredible your reactions are! You really understand this show, the characters, and the emotional beats. You've already jumped to the top of my list for upcoming reactions. Thank you for being your awesome self and I look forward to seeing more of it! We are lucky to have people like you in this world.
Another epic reaction from Beth!!! And yes, Luffy taking his hat (his treasure) and gave to Nami was a kind of "you protect my treasure that I'll protect yours (Covo Villagers)".
You're amazing, Beth!! I was SO looking forward to your reaction. You are so sweet and caring and you truly get this show❤️ I was with you crying through every emotional moment too. Keep 'em coming!
I was really looking forwards to watching your reaction to THIS part and it didn't dissapoint, Beth! Nami's arc is one of my favorites and they did it so well in the show. Nami's actress just knocked it out of the park in this episode, she really did. That epic moment is straight out of the manga/anime and they nailed it. Looked freaking epic. Gotta say, the actor who played Arlong also really nailed it. His laughter was truly ON POINT.
I know the actor from the show The Passage, which is based on a book series by Justin Cronin. If you like dark dystopian vampire epic urban fantasy you should check it out :)
One of my favorite things in the anime (and here as well) is how often Oda uses the straw hat for its symbolism. Any time in the anime where Luffy chooses someone else over his own goals something happens with his hat; he has someone hold it, he loses it, it falls off his head while he tells someone he'll help them. Luffy will always set aside his own goals to help someone he cares about.
Amazing reaction! Epic classic scene. In the anime, they cut for a 1 second flashback of luffy saying “don’t touch my treasure”, which really helps drive the point home after he gives Nami his hat. All versions of the scene are honestly really great.
Nami's backstory and the villagers get more time to be flushed out in the manga/anime but the LA does the key moments very well. The different order of events and some other differences of those events are actually quite a bit darker in the manga/anime. Because of that Nami's situation seems at a even deeper rock bottom as her rage boiling over to the emotion leading upto "Help me" happens. The JP dub VA does a haunting performance that many call the hook of One Piece. ruclips.net/video/Oa4gZfF_LYE/видео.html The theme of ones personal treasure is also fleshed out more, so many believe the message of luffy putting the hat on nami is, Luffy's 2 biggest personal treasure's are his hat and his crew, so putting the strawhat on nami making her his crew means she is his personal treasure so ofc he would do anything for her.
Nami sees Luffy care deeply about his cheap hat. About the pet store that Chou treasured. And Gaimon's treasures. She has every reason to consider treasure to be pure money, but she also sees Buggy who is the same way. There are a lot of moments that build up to her breaking point when she realizes money can't solve this problem and she needs help. And parallel to that, a lot of moments that converge with that moment to make her realization of what Luffy putting the hat on her means hit WAY harder. But given the time constraints, the LA knocked it out of the park. That one shot she went back to is straight out of the manga and anime.
The following isn’t a spoiler, just showing how short sighted Arlong “plan” is. Arlong and his crew roll up to the grand line, ready to take over the world. Mihawk, woken from a nap: Here we go again…
idk these gen z are not so smart. I have no hope for this gen z lol. Everything is social media not a single brain cell. Also I love your reaction keep it up
Beth, i'm loving your reactions to this series! As a One Piece fan since 2014 this show really impressed me with the quality and faithfulness to the anime/manga. After you've finished ep 8, if you want to react to more One Piece before making a final decision on attempting the anime or not, I highly recommend " the breathtaking world of One Piece" by strawhat v. It's a non-spoiler vid but so worth a watch for any fan of this story. Here is the link if your interested: ruclips.net/video/AcSVkCNDLZg/видео.html Again, loving your reactions and looking forward to the finale.
The pirate king was not Luffy's dad. In fact, we have already seen Luffy's dad in this series as a brief cameo, and we'll get introduced to him properly pretty soon.
"Gen Zers are going to change the world..." Yeah, for the worse! Have you listened to some of the RUclips videos of "Gen Z" people answering questions? It's not pretty at all.

"Luffy help me" was the one scene they could not afford to mess up going into this

@@BethDomon I will take a look, thanks!

That scene is the moment I became a one piece fan so many years ago.

The hat scene, that was the moment i became a fan of one piece.even in the anime luffy always put his hat on nami.
Hi, i'm your new subs and a one piece fan, you did a good reaction, keep up the good work, greetings from indonesia 😊
Thank you! ❤️❤️

1 USD = about 100 Berries. Based on prices in the show some say it's more like 1 USD=93 berries. But I find that to be an acceptable margin of error.

It's easily one of the best one-piece fan tributes put out there! I hope they remake it when the series ends
@@ONEPEAKFRFR As long as the music stays the same, i'm down for that!
Thank you! I will definitely check it out :)
I'm 30 but have sooo much faith in Gen Z - more than my own. (Y?/Millennial)
18:01 Luffy's father are the big deal in this world...but no, it isn't Gold Rodger
Roger died years before Luffy was born so no probably not.
yessssss

Yeah stop with the spoilers

*shrug* I’ve seen just as many doing and saying amazing things.
No! but if I say anymore that would be spoiling
