I always figured that the blasters the frieza force used were like "lenses" for focusing ki blasts given to people who struggled with it normally, rather than them just being a straight up firearm.
iirc While Frieza frequently murders henchmen all the time in the anime, this never happens in the manga. I do know something similar occurs with Pilaf, where the anime portrays him as being cruel and abusive to his two comrades despite the manga portraying all three as being intensely loyal and caring to each other.
I only saw the anime because I have it on DVD but to me he felt more like the youngest spoiled child and his older siblings never thought of changing their power dynamics because mom engraind the behavior into their personalities

even in the anime frieza doesnt kill that many soldier. he killed 2 soldiers on screen in the namek saga: the one that killed the namekian who knew the dragonballs location, and then he kills another one but i dont remember why. the idea of frieza killing soldeirs really only came from the bardock special where he kills the ones next to bardock while he blows up vegeta. ginyu kills far more soldiers than frieza did in dbz. he kills like 2-5 when they cant pose correctly.

My theory on the Ginyu force is that when Frieza wiped out the saiyans, he realized that bardock eliminated so many of his other soldiers that logistically the loss wasn’t worth it. With this in mind he switched to a system in which if he encountered other races or mutants that could be a threat, he would hire the strongest as “mercenaries” with their main payment being the continued survival of their race. It would explain why they were so loyal and also Guldo and Ginyu definitely had abilities that could have potentially defeated Frieza in the right circumstances.

Plus, realistically, there very well could be a limit along those lines, and we just don’t know about it. It would explain, outside of loyalty, why he never attempted it on frieza to our knowledge. Or perhaps, why frieza let him live at all with a power like that.

An interesting and informative video, i have just recently stumbled upon your channel and am enjoying it so far. Two notes of correction though. 1: The Ginyu Force were first hired/recruited by King Cold and then went on to serve Frieza. 2: Raditz's battle power is actually much more impressive as in the Oozaru Form his 1,500 base power level is multiplied by ten to 15,000 which puts him in the Super Elite range. The Oozaru form is why Saiyans are put together rather than with other species as their normal method of conquest is to transform into the great Ape form together and level planetary civilizations.
The Ginyus are closer to a Special Force element than mercenaries. All of their equipment and support infrastructure is supplied by the Planetary Trade Organization, and this is why Ginyu was recruiting FF soldiers on Namek when he needed replacements. I'm not certain as to the authenticity, but I recall various sources claiming Vegeta at some point attempted to join the Ginyus.
Toriyama based dragon ball on a lot of what happened in WW2 Freeza being incredibley powerful is Toriyama referencing America and Hiroshima and Nagasaki there's many if you just look for them the show isn't just mindless fighting

Good soldiers who fulfil Freezas orders get a good place and praise from Freeza himself which is why they seek to fulfil his every command. My own head cannon is depending on color or tge armor around the shoulders you can gaunge someone's power level if not rank. The Average Frieza soldier tends to wear the darker brown color and has a power level anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 not a hug range but very much matches up with Raditiz being on the lower scale and someone like Appule being on the higher range given their feats of strength. The Low Level Frieza soldiers tend to have a white or gray color around the shoulders which we see from the scouts that attack Krillin, Bulma, and Gohan when they first arrive on Namek or the scouts that kidnap Bulma as they are killed by the gisnt under sea crab that Bulma encountered. This also tracks for the soliders guarding Frieza's ship being dispatched so easily. Their power levels are less than 1,000 which tracks as when Gohan and Krillin power up to 1500 those two go from laughing to shaking scared and they are dropped easily with one hit. The new next color is the trade mark yellow that Vegeta wears. Given Vegeta, Nappa, Qui, members of Qui's race, chief medical officers, and the engineers that rebuilt Frieza it's safe to say that Yellow is given to the Elites of the Frieza Force not just of in terms of power level but status as it tracks with their level of autonomy as well. The soliders who wear yellow have power levels that start from the low 3,000's to almost 20,000. Which tracks given Nappa is an Elite but on the lower scale while Vegeta is one of Frieza's strongest soliders along with Qui but mot the strongest. I think it's a bit of stretch to have mercenaries be necessarily defined as foreign elements, that's not really true. But the rest about them seems about right.
Ngl after rewatching the Namek arc and RoF saga in the anime saying the average frieza soldier is even close to raditz is probably wrong not that its impossible but the two average frieza soldiers when they pulled up on krillin and gohan were not only one shot by each of them individually but also those freezer soldiers that fought the namekians thought that it was going to be a challenge in even though they outnumbered them 10 to 1 and that these are the most loyal and powerful of freezers forces
From the looks of it the Frieza Force is not very complex, and it makes sense somehow. I can't really tell why i fell that way about it, but in the back of head something screams "Overpowered universe ruler that doesn't have much to worry about".
My head cannon is that Friezas forces are powerful but not very skilled. Freeza never needed to train, so he wouldn’t force his men to. This is why you see his minions using lasers instead of Ki attacks. This is also what makes the Ginyu force exceptional, since they seem to be highly trained. However, just like Goku pointed out, their training was uselessly focused on appearance more than combat skill. For me, this is explains why the minions are so easily taken out, and what makes earth so exceptional, since strength comes exclusively from intense training rather than mutations or genetics.

As I stated in the video, Raditz had above average power as a baby, and so he did not get sent off like Goku. However, there were only 10 midclass warriors in the entirety of Planet Vegeta, and we also know that various warriors of different class and ability are put together. So he was an 'upper level' warrior with his latent battle power as seen in one of Toriyama's interviews, and he was assigned with Nappa, but he was a lowclass warrior in general. And I just checked the manga, Raditz never brags to Goku about being a saiyan elite.

Ginyus body swap should have a cap. Like 30% above his PL tops. So Goku swap makes sense.

Their tails grow back until they are adults. Vegeta only lost his tail one time but it happened after adulthood...

I think it's a bit of stretch to have mercenaries be necessarily defined as foreign elements, that's not really true. But the rest about them seems about right.
Ngl after rewatching the Namek arc and RoF saga in the anime saying the average frieza soldier is even close to raditz is probably wrong not that its impossible but the two average frieza soldiers when they pulled up on krillin and gohan were not only one shot by each of them individually but also those freezer soldiers that fought the namekians thought that it was going to be a challenge in even though they outnumbered them 10 to 1 and that these are the most loyal and powerful of freezers forces
From the looks of it the Frieza Force is not very complex, and it makes sense somehow. I can't really tell why i fell that way about it, but in the back of head something screams "Overpowered universe ruler that doesn't have much to worry about".

My head cannon is that Friezas forces are powerful but not very skilled. Freeza never needed to train, so he wouldn’t force his men to. This is why you see his minions using lasers instead of Ki attacks.
This is also what makes the Ginyu force exceptional, since they seem to be highly trained. However, just like Goku pointed out, their training was uselessly focused on appearance more than combat skill.
For me, this is explains why the minions are so easily taken out, and what makes earth so exceptional, since strength comes exclusively from intense training rather than mutations or genetics.

Only problem i have with this video is that it spreads the fandumb that raditz is weak and a average measurement for the lower levels of the frieza force he's actually part of the mid class and a saiyan elite while the standard P.L. of low class warriors and the bulk of the frieza force is anything in the three digit range.

I don't think he is weak. He's likely stronger than the average Frieza soldier and Saibaman. But he is not midclass in saiyan society.
@@pooheadz189 thats incorrect and i would really like to know where your getting that from as Toriyama stated that Raditz had equal status to Nappa and that Raditz was an upper level warrior meaning mid class who was assigned to the same group as Nappa to be a proper combatant and i don't recall him ever being called a low class in minus the only thing we see of him there is being part of Vegeta's platoon which puts him well outside low class as i don't see any reason King Vegeta with his ego would allow Vegeta to have low class trash under his command and last Raditz wont shut up about being part of the saiyan elite when he beating the shit out of Goku and Piccolo at the very beginning of Z so it isn't some last minute retcon.
As I stated in the video, Raditz had above average power as a baby, and so he did not get sent off like Goku. However, there were only 10 midclass warriors in the entirety of Planet Vegeta, and we also know that various warriors of different class and ability are put together. So he was an 'upper level' warrior with his latent battle power as seen in one of Toriyama's interviews, and he was assigned with Nappa, but he was a lowclass warrior in general. And I just checked the manga, Raditz never brags to Goku about being a saiyan elite.
