Yamcha is definitely one of the most underrated characters in Dragon Ball overall. This guy is one of the few people that have actually beaten Goku at all, and sure maybe Goku had been at a disadvantage because he was hungry, but a loss is a loss regardless of the situation, and not to mention for a guy that had basically no proper training at all until he met Master Roshi, the guy was actually keeping up with people who had trained all of their lives under someone, and in Yamcha's fight against the Saibamen, he had technically won the fight its just that the guy is a freaking showboat, and because of this he had let his guard down and got exploded, but Goku also did the same thing in Resurrection F and he doesn't get put down the same as Yamcha's mistake, so its really unfair towards Yamcha that so many people think he's garbage when he's not, and one of his signature techniques which is the Spirit Ball, demonstrates a huge amount of ki control, since he can basically will that attack to move however the heck he pleases, and in Super during that filler baseball episode his techniques and experiences were what gave him the win in the end, even though they had to ruin that moment by making him get posed the same way as when he died to the Saibamen, which is just Toei basically surrendering to the memes of the fandom, but even though Yamcha might get a bad rep, I will keep using him in Dragon Ball games because he's an underdog that deserves better.

Yamcha is not as weak as we think
He's not but in comparison to the heavy hitters he is, krillin is consistently shown to be the weakest yet people think he's the strongest human. In the fight with the saiyans he would have died first if the others didn't jump in the Frontlines of battle and take the big attacks first.

Love yamcha. He was so brave and always had a great fit.
Also people fail to realize all the people lost to Krillin would have lost also. Roshi, Tien, Kami, etc. wished Yamcha could've fought Bacteria lol. Also the Saibamen, Krillin admitted he'd probably would've been caught off guard to. If folks hate him just say that (btw if u bring up cheating all evidence point to Bulma cheating first) but just don't say he sux cause he lost fights others would've lost to.

Yamcha 100% had a better understanding of KI attacks than Krillen or Tien. Yamcha master Roshi's Kamahama Wave, faster than anyone but Goku. His Spirit Ball, which he created on his own, nearby knocked God out... and his Wolf Fang Fist attack was the first EVER to put attacks with Kia. Tien > Yamcha > Krillen and I'll stand on that hill forever. Krillen became the strongest human in the BUU Saga just because FOR PLOT reasons...

Question: I'm not sure how familiar you are with Japanese but as someone learning the language I've had confusion over the Rouga part of the name. What does it translate to? I assumed it was wolf but no Japanese translators translate Rou as wolf. Was wondering if you know any extra explanations on the name that I might be missing
Hmmm, I might post my conversation with Dave about that sometime. But Rou is the chinese reading/combination of the japanese word for wolf okami. It's Kanji, and Rogafufuken is technically written with chinese in mind. It messed me up too!
