    50 years TIG welding. 3 years ago ended up getting a TIG225 and Maxcool 3000 for my home shop. Customer service and warranty sold me on it along with great reviews. Now also have a MIG180 and a CUT60 along with some smaller Primeweld items. Fully sold on a solid company.

    You won't be disappointed in the primeweld Tig 225x I've had mine for 3 years now I been very happy with it everyday. I'm a self taught tig welder and I did it originally for me to teach my oldest son how to tig weld on steel as he was wanting to go to school for armory repair. Me and my family were struck by tragedy of him getting sick with covid-19 and passed away on 8-25-2021. I was in a deep spot same situation as you were going between ahp, lotos, primeweld, Everlast and yeswelder 😅😅😅😅 that last one just too damn funny. Watching tfs on RUclips with Justin on there he did a review of it and was very intrigued by it and love the fact that you have no stupid menus to scroll through to make adjustments.... Since I have gotten the Tig machine I have added a Maxcool watercooler and a CK worldwide flex-loc water-cooled torch to my arsenal. Struggling with trying to get out and start a welding repair business Twist of Fate Welding and Fabrication in memory of my son Gavin. That machine will do everything you need to do and then some. I've had some of my welding friends use it they were impressed with the machine and the options that are on it for $800 and how smoothly it welds. There both owners of Miller dynasty 210 and wishing that they would have used one of these before buying one had a board shit the bed and it $1000 from miller and the other is wanting to add a water cooler but it is 2k+ LoL. Keep up your stride with content definitely interested in seeing you do some awesome projects with your Primeweld Tig welder..

      First I want to say that my heart goes out to you about your son. I can't even begin to imagine the hurt! Second, I think I definitely made a good choice with the PrimeWeld 225X. I'm really enjoying it and it does a great job. I may add a water cooler as well at some point and I definitely got to get a #9 tig torch and consumables. All in due time. Thanks so much for commenting and watching my video. I will circle back around to welding video for sure.

      It really is Greg. I did my homework for at least 2 months prior to pulling the trigger on this PrimeWeld. Yeah, welding is kinda like riding a bicycle, you never forget once you know what to look for. The weld puddle tells you everything about what's going on. I'm a bit rusty but should be back on my game in a week or so.

    I used to do a lot of SS welding at work back in the late 80's. Like yourself I missed doing the process. I bought a CK Worldwide MT200-AC/DC unit for the garage and to say I am happy is an understatement. Machines have really come along way. The smoothness of the foot current is outstanding. I used an inverter machine a few years back and you could see the digital steps in current as the pedal was used, it had very large jumps. I did not care for the unit.
    In a nut shell: Relearning and practicing TIG has been the most pleasurable thing I have done in years. Glad that you put this content together Rus. The timing has been perfect. Thanks!

      That's awesome Brian and thanks for sharing that! Stainless pipe was always my favorite. Hopefully I can get some material soon. I don't know if I will ever weld as good as I once did because my eyes have gotten so bad, but it sure is fun just doing it again and it's super nice having this welder out in my garage that I can use anytime I want, plus I could make extra money with it and hopefully it will pay for itself. Thanks for stopping by and watching. Much appreciated!

    Well, I think this is the best tutorial on the 225 on the web . :) I've had this welder for a couple years now and bought the cooler shortly after that and it is a great unit . Looking to get their cut60 pretty soon . The customer support and all is off the charts . I figure that if I need it and Primeweld has it, it'll be a no brainer .

    I've looked at this welder very seriously, but I absolutely suck at TIG so I've moved away from that skill and more toward perfecting the various wife-feed processes. Can you answer whether the PrimeWeld 225 runs A/C stick? Seems like I read somewhere that on "stick" mode, it's D/C only. Also, are you here on the MS Gulf Coast?

    • @SkillSavvyDIY
      @SkillSavvyDIY  3 месяца назад

      Yes here on the Mississippi gulf coast in Biloxi. Far as I know it welds stick on DC, only but I haven't tried in on AC. I personally would not want to weld with AC stick. About the only stick rod you can use on AC with any good success is a 6011 and perhaps a 6013, but they both do better on DC. When it comes to stick, I prefer 7018 and it is a DC rod as well. Tig is not that hard, it just takes practice. It's definitely my prefered process over all of them.

      Hey Garry! I definitely plan on doing some instruction videos for beginners that will hopefully help them understand the processes easier and faster and I also plan to do some more complicated welding for more experienced welders such as how to weld looking through a mirror, open root pipe joints, etc. Having a welder in your garage or shop is super handy for so many things and getting to a level where you can well small brackets and other projects would not take long with a little seat time.
