  • Join us for a road trip through beautiful Western Newfoundland. This wild and rugged land boasts abundant breathing room and a unique geological history going back 1.25 billion years, as well as a relatively young human history - a mere 4,500 years old - that is still being uncovered today. With ancient mountains, fjords, and thousands of miles of coastline, the region is more like a small country.

This video makes me miss back home, I'm from the west coast of Newfoundland... Its more beautiful than the video really shows. Its hard to captivate it all in just a couple minutes. To anyone thinking about it, its worth visiting :)

If I did not know this was Newfoundland, I would think it was Ireland.

Barry Ellsworth Port Aux Port is near Stephenville, but Port Aux Basques is mentioned at the beginning of the video. It is at southern end of the west coast.

Seems like Noufies has such a great sense of deep heritage. Is this apparent in reality as the travel videos make it seem?

It really amazes me that a video on the West Coast of Newfoundland has left out so many beautiful places on the West Coast and had half of the video on the Northern Peninsula. Anyone who was not from the area would not notice, but they would be visitors and the West Coast don't need them. An awful slip up I hope.

ebnwf Thanks for your comment. We would have loved to show more of the region, but with limited time and resources it was not possible. We tried our best to create a video that would show travellers some of the key attractions in western Newfoundland and encourage them to watch some of the other videos on our channel, which showcase other things.

So that's definitely the music from Donkey Kong Country over the Marble Ziplines section. I think from the underground levels? How was the music for this sourced?
