Thank your for pronouncing Newfoundland properly!!! ❤
I'm a born and raised Newfoundlander. My Father was actually born and raised in Ireland, so you've obviously seen the Irish influence. Our province is visually stunning and there's nothing like it. Thanks for showcasing and I'm very happy you enjoyed it!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I went to NFLD 2 months ago and absolutely fell in love with the province. Coming from Ontario; NFLD is whole lot different and such a beautiful province. Hoping to visit again...
Grocery stores are a favorite stop for us too, no matter where we travel. It's a really underrated way to get a feel for the day to day life of a new place.
Glad I found you. I'm a 72-year old armchair traveler and I love your joie de vivre. My mother was a Newfoundlander, I grew up on boiled dinner. Excellent photography and you're both relaxed on camera.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I am Canadian and have visited most of the provinces. I visited Nfld for the first time this summer. We loved it! So beautiful. If you visit be ready for lots of rain and fog. In spite of this, we still very much enjoyed our trip.
Thank you so much for exposing us to these majestic locations that many of us wouldn't know about. Truely beautiful. 🌿
The best people that Canada has to offer reside on the East Coast. Glad you enjoyed your stay !
Thanks for showing us the beautiful Newfoundland! Stunning landscape and epic places to camp. Looking forward to your big adventure. Excellent video guys. ~Cara 😊
Thank you! ❤
I was born in Newfoundland & have not been able to get back as often as I'd like. Love Jiggs dinner. Best served with some cooking liquid from the pot and yellow mustard for the meat & potato. Also loving the videos of the beautiful scenery!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
You two are the only couple travel videos that I enjoy! Know one else comes close!
Thank you ❤
11:59 had to pause video to say WOW epic drone shots!~Cara 😮
LOVE LOVE LOVE Newfoundland. Have been 3 times, we can drive from Boston area. Happy to see this, you are showing me some hikes that would be new to us. Excellent video!
I’m from St.John’s, NL, currently living in Halifax, NS. I’m so happy to see you are enjoying Newfoundland. If you go to St John’s make sure you stop in for amazing food at The Nook and Cannery!
Gorgeous scenery! Can't wait to see more!
Absolutely fantastic, thanks for sharing your latest adventure !

Two thumbs up !!!! Your videos just get better and better. Thanks for taking us along. Blessings and good wishes to you both.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! I took notes. I remember seeing a show on PBS about Newfoundland & Labrador. The scenery on it, as well as your video, make this seem like an epic, must visit place.
Fantastic Video!!!! Right up there with your best Alaska ones.....Bravo!
Wow, thanks!
Thank you for sharing your Newfoundland experience .
Newfoundland looks amazing. It wasn't ever really on my list of places to visit, but now I definitely want to go there some day. (Also I want to say, I really appreciate that you indicate in your pinned comment when you filmed, most travel youtubers I watch don't, and it's such a simple thing, but incredibly useful information.)
Oh it definitely needs to be on everyone's list! It's incredible here!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Awesome just like always! Thank you.
Loving the picturesque views u shard today! As a Canadian living in flat prairies I’d love to visit the east side ❤
Wow! Newfoundland is so pretty!😍
We loved Newfoundland!! And we had the same weather as you guys. As always, exceptional footage and for real hiking.
We're glad you enjoyed it as well! Thanks and thanks for watching!
This video was so incredibly beautiful…my mouth would be hanging open all the time with all this beauty! Thank you for sharing❣️

😂 thank you!
Wow… those views are so epic!! 😍 Definitely on the list now!
Great vis guys loved it you inspire us to travel move
Wow, what gorgeous visits you made on this video ... its definitely on my bucket list. As a BC'er, traveling across Canada, Newfoundland is a province that I would be more excited to see and experience. I have quite a few Newfounderlander friends who speak the accents you attempt to share with us. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us!
Newfoundland is unlike any province or territory we've been to for many reasons! We think it's a must visit for anyone, but especially Canadians! But we do understand it's not super easy to get to
Thank you!
Thanks for letting me tag along as you explore this beautiful place.
I visited for the first time last month and fell in love. Stunning! I will be visiting regularly!
I'm from Nfld but have lived away since 1997.
I've had the occasional vacation back there and in fact just got back yesterday from a 4-day visit and I'm already heartsick and wanting to return once again. I love it there. The scenery is incredible, the people are amazing and the culture is wonderful.
We’re heartsick too! We can’t wait to get back one day! It leaves a mark on you! Thank you for watching!
I saw the thumbnail and imediately knew where you were. Thats where I grew up in Lark Hatbour :)
BTW, the Jiggs dinner usually does have gravy on it, maybe the Big Stop just forgot to give it to ya.
Glad you enjoyed the visit and was noce seeing the videos of back home :)
A GORGEOUS area! Darn Big Stop...next time!
We had a wonderful time!
And yes, Port au Port is considered a hidden gem. Has been for years. And hopefully we will continue to see the tourism grow in our area. I enjoy watching your videos.
Very nice video. Thanks for uploaded
Lots of love from Nepal 🇳🇵
I’ve followed you guys for a while and your vlogs have helped me plan a few road trips down in the US. To see you get to experience my home in Newfoundland and enjoy it is such a treat.
That's so awesome to hear! Thank you for watching!
Thanks you guys!
Nice video I’m subscribing! I love how who guys included food and grocery store shopping, I’m curious about that in different places too.
Thank you and thanks for watching! ❤️
Oh no!!! I guess I know what I am doing again today. More A+K. Wonder how many I can watch? Love getting introduced to another awesome channel. And Alex says "Oh Mylanta too?" It really is serendipity.
Love and light from NB♥ (I usually say the East Coast of Canada, but you're HERE)ps. Not sure how you really felt about Nfld. You were a little vague. LOL
You always brighten our sunday morning.
Thank you! ❤
You guys really know how to film those beautiful vistas! It looks stunning and fantastic!Definitely getting some Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones vibes from that scenery!
Would not have been surprised at all if a dragon had come flying up from beyond those cliffs.😂
Being a transplanted Newfie living abroad it really makes me miss home and long to return.Thankyou for the amazing and well done video.Great job!❤
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Hello Adventurers, I've been following you on this adventure and it's Absolutely AWESOME!!! I can't wait for the next series.
Wahoo! Can't wait to share! Thank you, Al! We can always count on you!
LOVED this video! Got me to subscribe. I've been to Newfoundland more than most and you make me feel like I've not seen so many things! Laughed at the Jig's dinner. You needed a bigger piece of salt beef 'cause it's sooo good! Love your use of the drone. Your pictures and narrative are excellent. Also appreciate you using the local metric for elevation and temperature etc.
The salt beef was super good!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Thank you for showing Port aux Port. One of the few places on the Rock we have not visited during our 10 summers living in the "cabin" we built looking out at the North Atlantic. Soooooo many free camping spots and most of the locals are happy you are there and love to stop for a long chat. This was the summer of Class B camper vans.❤😊
Oh the amount of epic boondocking spots in Newfoundland is incredible!
Your videos are always beautiful, informative, fun and spectacular photography and editing! I have told you this before, but as in Kathryns repeats, did I mention now much I love your channel!? Also, we loved Newfoundland too!
Thank you so much! That means a lot to us!
Oh my gosh, I want to go here so badly now! This reminds me SO much of Iceland! If you two love it here you MUST go to Iceland, I think you would fall in love! In the summer the landscapes are sooo green and beautiful.
Iceland has been on our bucket list for a long long time! Hopefully we can go soon!
Thank you for doing such a fantastic job of show casing the Maritime provinces. That's the one area of Canada I've never been to, and always hoped to see. This beautiful country is so massive and diverse.
NFLD is unique, and known for amazing hospitality and gorgeous scenery, which is evident in your video. 🇨🇦💗
Newfoundland is definitely abundant in gorgeous scenery and hospitality! We've met so many friendly people here.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Newfoundland is not a maritime province. It’s an Atlantic province but the Maritime provinces are Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick…just sayin
WOW!! Absoutely beatuiful. Greate drone shots, thank you for sharing and have an incredible journey....
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Wow the scenery gives me chills it's so beautiful! Oh My! I can certainly see why y all love it! Drone shots are epic!!! Kona's dream house of sticks, lol! Sunsets, the blue water a big wow! I love everything on that Jiggs dinner plate! Yes gravy would help for sure! I think dessert looks the best! Looks like you'll have leftovers for awhile!
haha we definitely had some leftovers that day! The scenery has been unreal! We're so excited to share these next videos!
You need to go back. You missed the Puffins, the Icebergs, and "Kissing Cod".
❤ Adam growing his beard in the same color as Kono's is a truly heartwarming moment.
It's not Grey!
Yeah we arrived too late for the icebergs, but we did see some puffins! We'll share that in a future video. As far as kissing the cod lips, we don't drink so we weren't able to be screeched in
haha my sad attempt at a "beard" ❤
Great video, very fun and beautiful
Does have that Alaska vibe. I think of all the places you guys have been Alaska and British Columbia had the most raw natural beauty. My favorite video may have been the food tour in Hanoi
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Hi Adam and Kathryn for showing us easturn canada, living in NB myself there many places i have not seen at all yet, thank you very much for your videos, from Robert
NL is a truly beautiful place !!
Great job, guys! Excellent photography and editing! My wife and I lived in New England, and traveled for many year in a Sprinter I converted. Never thought of going there, looks amazing, at least in the summer.
It's been amazing here! It's now one of our favorite places in North America! We're excited to the rest of our videos from our time here
Thanks and thanks for watching!
"Everything on the plate is just boiled" 🤣🤣🤣. Awesome video, guys. That waterfall looked epic.
I just watched your last 3 videos - catching up. We were gone for over 2 weeks to Colorado; thought of you guys when we stayed near Leadville and your Mt. Elbert adventure! We did a Fourteener! Yea, we drove up Pikes Peak! lol. I enjoyed these videos; it’s amazingly beautiful. I enjoyed seeing and hearing about the food, too. The ferry ride was very interesting! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! You guys do a fantastic job of filming and explaining!
We hope you had a great trip! Thank you for watching! ❤
We enjoyed watching your video of your trip to NFLD , sure would love to visit there . We have friends from NFLD , they are very friendly people .
Planning our honeymoon to Nfld and these videos are great/getting us so excited! Haven't been to this area since I was 10 years old.
That's awesome! Congrats!
We have a huge guide to Newfoundland on our website as well. Hope it helps!
adventuresofaplusk.com/things-to-do-in-newfoundland/
I can't get over how *crisp* your shots are (!!!!!). Absolutely fantastic job on this one!!! You're totally right- that area really does look like the Chugach mountains. It's wild that we were on opposite sides of the continent, looking at such similar views hahaha. 😂 Also, hiking with binoculars?! You guys are true adventurers hahaha
Thanks, y'all! That is a wild thought!
Hiking with binoculars is so amazing! You can see even more and if you're lucky spot some animals!
Excellent video
The Rock is an amazing place. I had the opportunity to visit often during the 80s while on business. Loved the people. Had lots of laughs. But it was a challenge re the accent - particularly in the centre and west coast. My favourite word to use was "pardon". ❤❤
haha yes we overhear people talking in Tim Horton's and sometimes have trouble understanding. It truly has been amazing here! We're very excited to share our adventures!
@@AdventuresofAplusKBTW, I very much enjoy your content. Well presented. Appreciate the research involved to understand the community. 👏
Definitely an under appreciated area!!
We're watching from our home in South Korea. So happy to see Newfoundland through your eyes! It's a special place. My husband is Newfoundlander and I'm not sure what he is saying a lot of the time after 17 years together 😂😂
Haha that is funny! Thank you and thanks for watching!
My Norwegian grandfather and his family hacked out the first run on Marble Mountain. I love your travels. Honest and awesome.
So cool! Thanks for sharing and watching!
I found you guys when you were coming through Pismo Beach, California (where I live) on your way North to Alaska. I followed you all the way to Alaska, and then all around Alaska - and then down through different states until you finally got home to your parent's house. After that I lost you. I just found you again - Yay! What a beautiful place Newfoundland is!! Your photography is National Geographic quality! Thank you for "taking us along" on this very beautiful trip!! ❤
We're glad you're back! Thank you and thanks for watching!
The Starlight Trail is stunning!! Are there any bad campsites in Newfoundland? Those cliff views are amazing!
If there are we haven’t found one!
Being from St John's, I appreciate the effort to make this wonderful video! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Another great video! As an Atlantic Canadian I am sad to say I have never been to Newfoundland although many family & friends have. We got friends who live in Corner Brook & others we know across the province. One day we will go. Enjoy your travels! I should add that Irving Big Stops are an Atlantic Canadian staple, great food, great portions, & great service (disclaimer...I do work for the parent company Irving Oil but totally unbiased, the Irving Big Stops rock!) 😁👌
Newfoundland is now one of our favorite places in North America. We highly recommend visiting. So much to see and do here! The Big Stop rocked!
Beautiful!
Look at all these MOUNTAINS!
The cliffs! 😍
I'm from Labrador and with a jig's dinner we generally have some kind of roast with it so you make a gravy from the roast to go with the boiled food. Also some places will have a raisin pudding with it too. Basiclly a bread pudding with raisins in it done in a cheese cloth and boiled with the rest.
Yum! Thank you for sharing!
Hi guys! Love your contents! You guys should come visit Australia really soon!
Hi! Would love to! It’s been on our bucket list for years. Hopefully those plane ticket prices can come down one day! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I finally made it to this province a few years back when I drove to Labrador from southern Quebec then the Island of Newfoundland a few years later. The landscapes felt like a more rugged and more extreme version of the Maritimes. I especially loved the area around Gros Morne National Park. It's very impressive.
We'd love to get up to Labrador some time! You described it accurately...rugged and intense! Gros Morne is incredible!
Although I live in beautiful Nova Scotia, I have sadly never been to Newfoundland. Thanks for the beautiful video. Makes me want to go there that much sooner!
We hope you can visit! It's an incredible place!
Unreal!!
WOW!!!!!
Thanks for highlighting our part of Newfoundland. We live in Corner Brook and have a cabin in Littleport where you started your hike to Cedar Cove. We often walk out there and on the trails around Bottle Cove. You did a great job with your Long Range Traverse video.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I love how much you love Nfld. Wait till you see Gros Morne. I have only been to the West coast but want to do that area. The Spring and early Summer is great on the East coast because there are Iceburgs everywhere. Btw you were lucky to hit good weather so far.
Newfoundland has been spectacular! We've had a wonderful time here and Gros Morne was epic! Can't wait to share those videos!
We did have pretty good weather, but also had lots of rain to maneuver around!
Thanks and thanks for watching!
I always check out the local grocery store everywhere I go! That boiled dinner looked like the most boring thing! But Newfoundland looks extraordinary, and worth all your exclamations. Now I’m curious to go there!
It's been so incredible here! We can't wait to share the rest of our Newfoundland videos!
I've lived in BC, AB, ON, and NL, and I wouldn't live anywhere else. Thanks so much for showcasing our beloved Newfoundland. xo
P.S. We have cooked dinner every Sunday and you definitely need gravy and dressing. :)
Loved it! Really want to get here someday! Also. Where are the bloopers? 😉
Thanks! Sometimes we have bloopers sometimes we don't 🤷♂️
@@AdventuresofAplusK fine. More Kona then. 😂
My husband and I are so enjoying watching your video of Newfoundland. He grew up in southern Virginia but his mom was from there (St. John's), and although she is dead, her four siblings are still alive and living there along with a dozen first cousins, etc. We were able to go over via ferry boat in 2017 which took us to Port au Basque, but unlike you, we went straight to Gros Morne National Park which we loved before continuing on. I suspect that you will hike Gros Morne (we did!)...and know that you will love it. We then went on to Twillingate (iceberg alley), Trinity and then ended up in St. John's for a full week before taking the ferry back to the states (we live in Maine). Two years later we returned by plane from Halifax, this time staying primarily in St. John's as the family lives there. It's such a long trip, otherwise we'd go more frequently! We look forward to watching your remaining trip there as you're giving us new places to explore next time!
That's so awesome you have so much family in Newfoundland! We have loved our time up here. Yes Gros Morne was epic! Our next two videos will be all about Gros Morne. We did also visit everything else you mentioned and are very excited to share those videos as well!
It is quite a trek to get up there, but so worth it. We already can't wait to be back in Newfoundland!
yes, and they're all in amazing good health....when we visited last time, the 90 year old aunt was still gardening and the 88 year old one was still golfing, she'd been a master curler a few years earlier....and all so so very nice...all his first cousins were able to retire at the age of 55 which I think is rather common in Canada...how much time did you spend in Nfld total? @@AdventuresofAplusK
Absolutely awesome vlog!! The scenery in Newfoundland is outstanding!!! I had no idea it was so gorgeous! We’ve been looking for a place to build a third vacation home and Newfoundland fits the bill! Just kidding…we are NOT wealthy haha. Definitely a future vacation destination though! Thanks for the amazing vlog…very inspiring!!!!
😂😂😂 it's a GREAT spot for a vacation home for sure!
the "Driving in Newfoundland is Epic" section of the video is where I grew up.
Aaaah!!! Awesome job! I can see my nanny’s home in Port au Port! ❤❤❤
Awesome! Random question…we see all these signs in front yards across the province that say “Nanny and Poppys House”….do they have one? We love those signs!
They did not! However, they did have a well known, giant rock in their front yard that was painted to look like a patch quilt :) Second house on the left when you first turned onto Front Rd.
We always smiled when we saw those signs! 😂 Could be a fun Christmas gift…just saying! 😂
Kathryn said she vaguely remembers seeing that rock!
My home province enjoy
We also love the small town grocery stores but also found Sobeys to be our “go to”.
Our "go to" has been Dominion. They have a really good salsa that's made in San Antonio oddly enough!
We were in Port au Port in June and the alpine wildflowers in St George were amazing! such a beautiful place! love your videos of our favorite place. {we definitely skipped the Jig's dinner}! Agree that shopping at the bigger stores is essential.
It's such an amazing spot, isn't it!?
