you were actually correct in the “sub deb” department! it basically means of or suitable for a subdeb, a girl in the years just preceding her debut into upper class society :) or also “The proper definition of a subdebutante is a women who has not yet made her appearance into society. During the late 30s and early 40s the abbreviation, sub-deb, came to mean teenagers, specifically women in the last two years of high school.”
Romanian here and indeed we use the word rimel to refer to mascara. Never made the association with Rimmel the brand, wow. Super nice video 💜
As a Turkish, I can also confirm that we indeed use rimel as the word for mascara. Can't believe we were all referring to a brand. 😄

Hate to be like a mood ruiner but all the makeup in the is very expired and contains led other toxic materials but yes a vintage look with similar make up would be awesome have a good/night (:
@@adriellegarcia9944 a lot of it is modern vintage (from companies that makes vintage inspired make up that are 100 percent new and useable), she could still definitely make a video with what's safe to use

I’m Russian and sometimes we say Rimmel was used sometimes in the past. I still hear someone say Rimmel instead of «тушь» pronounced as tusch which means mascara.
Oh wow ! In Romanian we call eyeliner tuș [tusch] and we call mascara Rimmel
The older generations use these terms usually .Most of the younger generation use mascara and eyeliner .

Oh! Maybe you have more info than I can find on this, but my mom told me years ago (when I was 16- im 48 now. Lol- ive been curious about this ever since) about the basic lipstick that many women wore in the 50s called "tangee"? Or something like that. Ot eent on orange-ish, but then slightly changed to a color that matched the womans skin tone better- similar to mood lipstick. If you know anything about this, would love to know more.

I love this video! Vintage things have always intrigued me. But on your point about segregation, the U.S. is most definitely still segregated. The only difference is it's more economical rather than political so that government can hide behind the guise of equality & have ppl believe that "black ppl don't work hard". Though we're in a pandemic, the next time you go walking/ driving around your neighborhood, take note of the ppl you see, they more likely than not look just like you.

Why do I want to see some one make a video of using original vintage make-up regardless of the fact that it's probably expired and bad for your face.
Check out lisa eldridge, she did a video using Biba makeup with a lot of prep on the skin. The colours were absolutely crazy!
Laura Jane Atelier here on RUclips has done this. She's applied barrier cream and used dead stock vintage makeup.

Im not sure if its your microphone or just the way you whisper but its kinda hard to understand you. It sounds kinda like its muffled or like if you talked with cotton in your mouth. Its like really breathy like your blowing a lot of air out with each word. I wish you just talked quieter and not really whispered. I really dont know how to explain what I mean but its like how asmrplanet does her videos. She does like super low quiet talking instead of the breathy whisper and its so much easier to understand. I usually avoid most whispered asmr videos because a lot of asmrtists use that breathy whisper and I dunno why but it really makes me cringe. I just picture a ton of spit flying out of their mouth.
