You're not a hoarder, you're a historian, an educator, an artist and an icon!
I love how you can find Fallout fans under pretty watched vintage videos lmao, but the aesthetic is so damn good I kinda long for those to come back full blast with summer dresses and swing dances in the evening
Beautifully said and absolutely correct!
You are sooooo beautiful and awesome I love your videos and TikTok’s so much!
klopt helemaal--!!!🇳🇱😻🌹👌
This is literally what I was going to say!
Your collection is literally everything! Oh my gosh it’s literally 100 years of history in one room! So cool!!!
Not to be a Debbie-downer but at some point you have to wonder if this is collecting or borderline hoarding. I mean some stuff is in cabinets and just sitting there. What’s the point. Not to mention, when you die what are you gonna do with all that stuff? I guess if you have the money to waste on such old items with other peoples bacteria and spit on it; to each their own.
Indeed!✨
Maybe, one day, that “lost in the move” compact, will find you; a joyous day when that happens!
there is nothing that makes me happier than watching a super cool person get totally nerdy about something they love. The joy is contagious. Thank you for sharing with us!!!
Erin is so gracious. She’s literally famous. She’s a worldwide Maybelline ambassador & makeup artist to celebrities. Yet, she opens her doors to us. Not only that, like any other influencer, she takes the time to do AMAZING makeup tutorials! Thank you so much, Erin! I hope you know how grateful your viewers are!!
Yeah, and her sweetness, right?
This woman is a hero. Such passion and respect for her industry's history. I can't wait to be able to visit the Erin Parson's museum one day! What a legend...
Me: I love Erin’s energy but I cant articulate why
Erin: I have Amy Winehouse’s bronzer. It’s broken and in a ziploc bag.
Me: There it is
bingo lol
Wow I love how truly engaged you are with vintage beauty. I can really see your love for vintage makeup and how much time you’ve spent on research. Very interesting. Please keep sharing more I’m so into the history of beauty and makeup.
I kinda wish modern makeup and packaging would be more like this. It's a good thing there's a wider range of more affordable products, but maybe it would be nice (not to mention more sustainable, especially with those refillable lipstick bullets etc) to have fewer good-quality products than the mountains of cheap makeup many of us got when beauty influencers and their hauls started getting big in the 2010s
we live in a disposable era and we are the poorer for it sadly.
Ohhh finally!! The queen of vintage makeup has arrived ! Can you please do your own vintage line !!???? We trust you !!!!!! You’re the goddess of makeup!
I’m working on something 🫢😝😊
@@erinparsonsmakeup Erin you are Beyond fabulous. You literally exude the same energy I get when experiencing one of the timeless classic beauties. Okay well except for the tattoos but I'm a Tattooed Lady so I love them. I cannot fathom that I didn't know who you were until yesterday what an absolute thrill it is to be able to enjoy your Tik-Tok videos. The truth, I never subscribed to Tik-Tok until yesterday. There really wasn't anything there of interest until now. ❌️⭕️❌️⭕️💋💄
@@dixierae3442 hi I found Erin's channel yesterday too. I can't wait till she posts another video! ❤️
@@dixierae3442hey , one day after you , I found out about her too! Her video on the search for Marilyns “Red” lipstick caught me! I totally understand and agree with everything you just said! Wow what a collection! 😮
@@maryelizabethmcgregor413 that was the first video that I saw probably the same day Mary Elizabeth. I found it so interesting and fascinating it was the best video I've seen on RUclips and ages. She was just beautiful and amazing but how awesome to see all of Marilyn's old makeup. I assumed that these things would have all spoiled and being thrown away. I so hope that she starts doing more RUclips videos. She got a great response so I hope we see more. Take care
I love people like her that are so passionate about a specific topic etc. Makes my depressed ass more excited about life and the culture that surrounds it. I could listen to Erin talk about makeup history for hours! I love it!
So true. Brings meaning to the word inspiring.
Exactly. She has the same passion a friend of mine has for biology, it's just a joy to watch someone who is truly passionate about something.
That's exactly how I felt when I watched this. It lifted something in my depressed soul and inspired me by reminding me how much passion and beauty there is in this world, in myriad forms.
I totally agree! I like her and her passion a lot even if I didn't wear any makeup for years and don't want to.
So true!!! What life is all about 😊
This is the kind of Rich Bish I aspire to be. This is EXACTLY how I'd spend my money were I to have some.
I am so happy she cares and treasures history. She is herself a treasure and translates through the camera so warmly. Adore it! All good things for her.
I am a MUA/Stylist and I have always found it fascinating that even in the worst of times these industries are rarely terribly affected. Beauty and self care can help people stay out of depression, feel good about themselves, and still feel beautiful.
And are the eternal playground of the super rich who aren’t affected by things the poors are.
It is also true that during depressions, makeup as an all purpose status and mood enhancer remains.
The beauty industry is the ONLY industry to never go into recession, despite the economical situation going on in the world - even the wall street crash couldn't topple it.
I like how she’s so knowledgeable about that time period she lowkey has that Transatlantic old school Hollywood cadence and vocal mannerism. It’s charming asf
Also I’m so buying some modern day mouches, they’re so cute
I miss that accent! So sad it’s slowly disappearing!
Totally!! We need to bring the trans Atlantic accent back
@@BeckyAngelix no, we shouldn't bring it back. It was a fake accent that people put on
@@Ri57490 I promise you won’t die if they want it back.
I feel like you are one of the few people who ACTUALLY has a makeup collection! Everyone now calls it their “makeup collection “ but this is an actual one! So beautiful to see. I hope I can visit your museum some day!
I am simply amazed at the collectibles you have! Many yrs ago as a teen in HS I worked in a pharmacy and remember so many of the vintage brands you have. Maybelline has always been a favorite to this day. Weren't they the first to have cake eyeliner? I loved it. There's also more than a few Revlon nail polish colors from then I would love to have today. I have a very small collection, some vintage Jean Nate dusting powder and some Imprevu perfume and others gone missing in moving, I can relate. So glad to have found you, really enjoying!
PLEASE make that foundation/museum idea come to fruition- this is truly amazing! THIS is what I think of when folks say “makeup collection”…not the hoarder zones influencers show off 🥴😒🤫lol The fact that you don’t just collect but you research as well and are so knowledgeable about the history of the beauty industry makes it that much better 💕 I love seeing the passion. What a lovely lady 💚
I would definitely want to see this museum
The main difference is she bought these items, not have them sent to her as PR!
Yes; the museum is something I would find so interesting, just like the time I discovered there is a "women's shoe" museum" in Canada!❤
It is SO good to see someone taking care of this Collection as you would in a museum!
I didn’t want the video to end💙 what an amazing collection.
Me netter...so amazing!!!!
I didn’t want it to end either. However, I absolutely love how you ended it. Thank you darling just beautiful.

incredible! It would be so amazing if you had a makeup line that was inspired by portable vintage makeup to use in the modern day; practical & beautiful - so special💙
There was another comment that she replied to in which she said she was working on something!
Yes!
That would be amazing!! Talk about a money maker if they weren’t too expensive! So everyone could enjoy!
I would buy it so quickly!
Agreed! I'll be waiting for a bracelet full of an evening's worth of makeup to wear!
Unbelievable...I'm from Sofia, Bulgaria...and this reminds me of my great grandmothers make up collection from the beginning of the 20'th century...she was born in Germany and studied in France...with 2 university degrees...which was incredible for this period..a musician...and I was fascinated by this golden lipsticks and powders...
Hugs and❤ from Sofia, Bulgaria and me😊💓
You and Lisa Eldridge should get together and create a vintage-inspired makeup line. Now THAT would be special.
I need this so bad!
The bracelet!!
No Erin should do it herself.
There is quite literally nothing to dislike about you and your personality! You’re so genuinely excited and it’s so endearing. You’re well spoken, well versed in everything vintage makeup. I just love you
fr haha
I remember the Hamburger bun lip gloss from Avon!! I was obsessed with it as a little kid when my Mum sold Avon. I still remember the smell of it!
As an architect I am so inspired, it is so cool that a loot of ancient techniques that architects used for building modifications, colouring and painting are still used to produce make up and extract pigments, also I saw almost all of your videos recreating those recipes and I am amazed.
Keep it up and fill our world with your colours, talent and magic❤.
Oh man, I've been WAITING for a tour. I could listen to you talk about your collection for HOURS. I find it endlessly fascinating.
you can see how much she loves what she does❤️😭
It brings me SO MUCH Joy to watch a wonderful person get to do what they love and turn it into a career. I love this. I love everything about this.
The blue wall is amazing. It reminds me of an old perfume that came in a blue bottle called Evening in Paris. Thanks for sharing your unique finds.
What an interesting video, lovely to see how passionate and knowledgeable Erin is about vintage makeup
The way she holds every item is so elegant ❤
I absolutely ADORE this woman! She’s fascinating, intelligent, beautiful and talented. I especially enjoy watching her make makeup using old recipes! She’s just an all around interesting person. 🌸💗🌸
I love how she’s so real and genuine, like most celebrities put themselves on a pedestal, thinking they’re the hottest shit and she’s over here just like being relatable, sweet funny, and genuine. The genuine is a really important part for me.
I'm a guy and this is so fascinating! This would legit make a super cool museum on the history of makeup and the cosmetic industry. Love this RUclips channel, very unique ❤️
I am currently a pro makeup artistry student. And you are my new muse/goddess. OMG. I hope to one day meet you and get to work along side you. Thank you for showing us your iconic collection.
I remember, as a child, my mom shopping at Merle Norman. She would, sometimes, get little promotional gifts and samples. The lipstick samples were so cute! They were these tiny lipsticks, about an inch tall, and it never failed that they would break off the base the first time you tried using them. 😂 Another trial item was the single use blush/powder/ lipstick/gloss you'd get in magazines. It was whatever cosmetic item being promoted layered onto paper. You would tear open at the perforations, peel open the papers, and inside would be the cosmetic item. Just like the perfume samples that also came in magazines. There wasn't enough to actually try the product. You could basically just swatch it.
I’m not a huge make up a person, but I love learning about the history behind things and I love watching transformations .New subscriber here your content is fantastic!!
Your collection has educated me more on beauty than any influencer could ever do. You are so knowledgeable and wonderful, your passion for keeping the past relevant and revered is contagious! Please keep up your collection and when it becomes a museum, I’ll be the first in line ❤️ thank you for sharing with us
I am not exaggerating when I say this video added a couple years to my life. SO excited to see your future content!
I love all parts of history but this.. I’m in love, I love the passion for how beauty products were used through out generations. Your energy is contagious.
Wow, something about this video, about you, your energy and your collection, and your unbridled love of beauty… it really struck a cord for me. I’ve always been alone in my love of beauty, even ridiculed and looked down upon for it (a Tom boy mother, and an autistic husband), and online has been the only place to feel like I could be around people who understood the depth there is to beauty. The culture, the importance, the historical impact! The beauty of beauty. I’ve looked to beauty as my transformative and safe space. I live with chronic illness, so it’s my way of fighting back against something who’s face is my own. Taking my power back as it were.
So, thank you for sharing your love and talent with the world! I look forward to any and all future videos from you, and if you ever open up a museum or give private tours, I’ll be there!
I love the way how her eyes started sparking when she talking about make up 🥰🥰🥰
It’s kinda fun to think that in 100 years our makeup that we use today will be called vintage and someone will be collecting it. Hopefully they will be as excited and passionate as you are :)
I disagree, because these things Erin has are worthy of being collected, they're innovative, made from materials that aren't cheap, they're beautiful, intricately made peices of art. Today's makeup is of the cheapest materials, plastic or thick cardboard, mass produced so there is no rarity of them, they aren't beautiful or unique etc. I just can't see them ever being coveted as art.
What a sophisticate lady! Lots of knowledge on history of beauty
Ahhh! I remember my grandmother’s lovely ring compact. It had powder, rouge, a lip pot, and a nickel holder (for carfare home on the streetcar). So lovely to see your collection!
The way they did and presented makeup before is so unique and gorgeous!
Everything about you is just FABULOUS, LOL I live in Japan and I sometimes see gorgeous vintage Japanese makeup when I buy vintage Japanese girls day dolls online. If I find something really special I'll get it and somehow get it to you as a present as you as you really are so devoted to your passion!!
I was in fashion previously and many years ago I purchased a 50's day shift dress owned by Marlene Dietrich but am only into dolls now, LoL
You already have an actual museum . Stunning
Fantastic collection Seriously!!! My grandfather used to be an actor in Black & White silent films in Hollywood in the 1910's-1930. My mom has fantastic "still photos" taken from some of the movies. The actresses are so amazing. He was even in "The Great Train Robbery" It was a remake of the original. He sadly had a fire in his room and a huge trunk of most of his photos were destroyed. His sister my great Aunt lived through the "Great Fire in San Francisco, 1906 & the Earthquake that destroyed much of San Fran..I have photos of her looking like a " Gibson Girl" from professional photos taken in about 1905. We used to have her 1920's beaded purses all the Flapper Gals used to take to dances and parties in the 1920's. My Grandpa died when I was 2. My mom was a late in life baby. I'm only 56 but my mom said Grandpa had wild stories of Hollywood from the 15-20 yrs he worked there in films. I just love your makeup collection. My grandma used to sell Avon on the side in the 60-70's.I know it's just Avon but I used to love when she would give me the tiny tester lipsticks. They were so small. But I loved them & her. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait till you have a museum to put it all in.😊💙💜💜
Oh, Erin, I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see your collection. I found you on Instagram about a year ago, and everything you do is fascinating. I love makeup and glamour icons too, and the beauty space is filled with current trends (which I still like.) But your content about vintage products, application techniques, and formulas resonates with me more deeply. So thank you for all you do. You and Lisa Eldridge are really leading the way for us.
My obsession started with a beautiful vanity from 1943. I then had to decorate it accordingly! Everything was so incredibly beautiful and feminine. This video entranced me! I can't wait to see and hear more from you!
A makeup museum would be really fascinating.
girl I could listen to you talk about makeup history all dayyyy 🫶🏼
I wish they made makeup fun like this still. Love your collection!
You are not a hoarder. You are definitely a passionate makeup historian!! I have never seen such an interesting channel in such a long time, especially when it comes to makeup. Your collection is such a masterpiece!
I cried a little. Absolutely amazing. What you have, and accomplished is Next level. My heart ❤️ skipped a few beats.
I find it so adorable she was like “idk what else to say “ at the end and her little laugh after. This was amazing! Something I would only dream of being able to do one day.
I loved seeing your whole studio, when I found your tiktok I binged watched all your videos. I love make up since I was a little girl so seeing what make up was like before I was even thought of is so fun and expiring to see.
Erin is one class act!
She has turned her hobby into a career and in a few more year ya’ll KNOW we will be buying her all natural colors and collector cases!!
Sign me UP Erin!
Bring back the Style and Glamor!
I’d love to see a video of you and Lisa Eldridge together talking about makeup history! What a dream 😍
A curator of Cosmetics for the ages! Incredible pieces & fact you know the history of items is fab! I learned a lot- thank you x❤
I love that her passion for her job shows in this collection….truly inspiring 💜
This is truly a makeup collection. I could watch her for days
Im so sick of all make up channels and still i LOVE yours! So interesting and fascinating. Love the short ones when you make differents styles from the past.
I just love all the containers they come in
My inner child/teen was all the time screaming of excitement with everything, your studio was like looking at a dream coming true for me. I definitely will travel no matter how far, if you put your collection as a museum.
I can’t get over how gorgeous all the powder boxes are !!
Love...love...love
I have always had an obsession for tiny compacts and to-go sets.
I absolutely love that she has a book collection that she actually uses !
Oh, a museum! Divine! When I was a kid out junk hunting with my grandfather, I found a little jadeite green book by a beauty editor in NYC, probably from the late 50’s. Imagine a 12 year old scrawny mountain girl, in the early 70’s taking beauty advice from a sophisticated woman from a whole other world. I carried that book and treated it like my talisman. I hadn’t thought about it in years. Wonder if is packed up somewhere? Thank you for reminding me how much I adored vintage beauty anything! 👄👄👄
You are such an amazing person, I love how you have chosen to express your passion into a way we can all enjoy and learn. Wow!
Thank you for sharing your AMAZING collection with all of us🙏🏼 Ive seen the Max Factor museum on Hollywood Boulevard, very small. Now we need the Parsons museum of make up for all to see😊 You are THE QUEEN OF BEAUTY 💋💄
Now THIS!! This is truly the Museum of Glamor! The items, history, beauty- all within these studio walls! Magnificent!! Thank you for your time and efforts you have shared with us! ❤👍🏻
Your collection and your enthusiasm is priceless. Never seen anything like it with so much detail. Sharing secrets not many others would do, ie: where to begin if you want to collect, I have so much respect for you. Thank you ❤
This is how I hope I can display and further delve into my passions- knowing the intimate history of each item, instead of just consuming for the sake of it! I really appreciate you sharing your deep love of beauty history, it’s helped me be a more conscious consumer and an even bigger makeup enthusiast ❤
Enjoy watching this cosmetic collection;
She is the only one who has kept the legacy of the past, alive with herself 🙏.
What a national treasure! I've learnt so much in this video, even though I follow her on TikTok. This is an absolutely wonderful collection
I have been waiting for you to start a YT channel! Thank you Erin for showing us all your wonderful collection, I cannot wait for more ❤️
Self-taught wig maker here. I just love the vintage wigs. Especially, the finger waves sewn in place. Sometimes there are things strips of cotton fabric used to set the wigs or to secure the waves for storage or travel. The threads are more tedious and an act of love. Thanks for sharing all this with us
Can't wait for the museum ♥️ love this!
I wanted to compliment you on your magnificent collection of period items. I am a collector of objects (my favorite period goes from 1820 to 1950), and seeing some small masterpieces still alive struck me. In my collection I have a couple of identical items. i looked at them in the showcase and they made me a little sad... It seemed that they were telling me they wanted to go back to work, full of their face powders and ointments...This is to tell you that your collection truly deserves a historical documentary (and from what I have seen there are individual objects that would deserve at least 30 minutes each since they are steeped in history, design, passion ..). thank you for sharing certain "beauties" ♥️😍🐾. Maurizio
My mom was a hairdresser (her description)/cosmetologist in an upscale salon in our area in the mid 60s. She was a treasure trove of beauty techniques of the time. I have an amazing photo of her self styled blonde hair with a wiglet that has always fascinated me. She styled hair up until her sixties. Thanks for reminding me of her. Love your videos and your incredible style. ❤
Absolutely incredible! I’d love to see more of anything you own or are interested in ! 💕
OMG, I love everything about this! Packaging is lacking in a lot of products nowadays, brings me joy when anything makeup or perfume related is playfully packaged and presented instead of being clinical and sterile.
I could literally watch an entire reality show of yours! 🫶🏼 phenomenal content.
Haha you're amazing..even your books are color coordinated👀🦩🪻
Wow, always interested in makeup, so glad I found your stuff. Also your studio is spotless.
U have a very impressive collection and overflow of knowledge with regards to ur passion. I just found ur channel and I have been binge watching ever since! I almost made myself late for work bc I kept rewinding and rewatching lol. U absolutely should be celebrated for ur creativity, knowledge, and also sharing by making ur clients just as beautiful and being an inspiration for others. Thank u for sharing ur passion with us❤.
This was so much fun to watch. Love how you kept Amy Winehouse’s broken bronzer in a ziplock. 😂
You have a beautiful collection of makeup artifacts. You should totally open a museum.
I love your enthusiasm and love of your collection, I'm a collector of other antiques and what not but I can totally understand and appreciate
I love this. It's like a museum of beauty. How awesome!! Thank you for sharing.
ETA: I need to stop commenting before the end of the video lol. Good luck in getting your foundation together and museum available to the public.
Your passion is so refreshing to see. I can’t wait for your line to come out! Makeup is so boring these days. Same shit different name . i remember in the 80s my mom had a lot of Avon stuff she used to sell for them. They made tiny sample lipsticks . I had like 100 of them back then. Like 1982 lol so fun to reminisce through you 🙏🏽🤩😘 thanks!
This was absolutely amazing! I could have watched her go through all that makeup for hours and not got bored. So cool to see the evaluation of makeup. ❤
She’s just as legendary as her collection.
You need a Nextflix show, so fabulous x ♥️
I don't think I've ever watched a video on here that I havent wanted it to end. This is wild. Your amazing, thank you for showing us this 💕
I really hope you never stop making these videos; I can’t get enough! Each and every one of these pieces is so special so it’s great to see them so well cared for. I mean, most of this stuff was never meant to last or at the very least, for the most part, ladies of the day didn’t take immaculate care of them of course, so to see such pieces in such preserved, excellent condition is amazing.
OMG I love this woman!!! She's brilliant and beautiful!!!
I loved the tour!! Thank you!!
Drooling over your collection! Makeup history is so under appreciated
Oh, my god, I LOVED this!! I wish I could see it in person!!
PLEASE would you make more long form videos. Xx
I am completely jealous! I'm peanut butter and jelly! Wow that is one stunning and fun collection!
