I could tell this kitten totally trusts her, because she is able to massage the kittens paws. Cats usually don't let you hold onto their paws...Even when they like you a lot.
It's not really about trust. It's more like the preference of the individual cat. I had many cats who would never let me touch their paws and some who liked it when I held their paws. It also has a lot do with whether they got used to it as a kitten. If you have a kitten from really a young age (if you foster for example) and touch their paws as babies and/or start clipping their nails at a young age, they will get used to it and it becomes normal for them. On the other hand, if something happens to their paws at a young age (they break it, cut it, someone steps on their paws, etc.) they will most likely to be protective of their lil feet.
My cat loves anything belly scratching,chin scratching, paw touching, head pats, ect. He just loves attention, he will even let you roll him around like dough but I don’t do that

It's the least defining thing about a person who is homeless. The assumptions made about people who are experiencing homelessness are ignorant. It can take one bad turn of events in someone's life to land them in that situation. Most working class Americans are one job loss, one bad car accident, one divorce, etc. away from poverty. There for but for the grace of "God" go I.
@@peppercherrybomb a lot of homeless people tend to be mentally ill. That's not a judgement, that's a fact. That or addicted to drugs.. it can be hard to get good work, but it is out there. Just takes commitment. If you're homeless for the time being I understand, but if you're someone capable you should be trying everything you can.
Being nice to animals is ok and i also like cats, but please dont be like my mothers sister. Having one cat is hard, but having 9 CATS AND 7 DOGS WILL FUCKING RUIN YOUR LIFE. She is like a hermit and only interacts with her mother and sons, and everyone else hates her. She never talks to us, its like she cares more for a fucking brainless and emotionless shitty fucking fur animal than her own family. That really hurts me. I know that people hurt you and then you search for comfort with stupid animals, but this is not normal and it can have permanent damage, antisocial disorder and hostility to other people, paranoia, eventually leading to violence. DO NOT replace your family for a stupid animal. You wont regret it, and everyone will HATE you and when you realize its too late.

Yes, absolutely. I love cats, really. But this time I found myself wanting really bad to switch places with her, be it just for a minute. I don’t even know if such great trust is actually possible in humans. I have lived for three full decades and only saw it happen in movies, but never in reality.

Me and this particular ex of mine kind of fell out and do not contact each other anymore, but when we were together, sometimes we would just be laying stretched out somewhere---anywhere from my car to the college library in one of the unoccupied reading booths---and we'd sort of be half napping, half cuddling and doing something like in the video (not quite as liberal, of course, usually just like on the shoulders or hair or something), but damn she used to love when I ran my fingers through her hair. She would literally close her eyes and tilt her head up, just like a cat, with her lips slightly parted and teeth closed, and that was her "I'm enjoying the hell out of this" expression. She is one of the few things I wish the universe could have just made happen a little differently. The relationship, I mean. It wasn't perfect, and I missed her for a good while even after we stopped talking. But yes, from time to rare time this kind of trust and relaxation is possible between people. I've even seen comments from people on ASMR videos saying they do ASMR with their friends and I believe it requires a similar trust.

Found this video while struggling to sleep after my cat passed away a few days ago. I won't lie, it did make me upset, especially since your kitten resembles my cat when she was younger, but after my fair share of crying I stayed and watched&listened to your vid all the way and it did kinda ground and soothe me. And also I'm very happy for this kitten to be in such good hands. I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you. You made 40 minutes of my life a little more bearable. Wishing all the best to you and all your loved ones (both human and animals)

I’m so amazed at how she lets you touch her around the belly area. My cat will activate at least seven all-kill protocols, steal the crops of my autumnal harvest, and bite the hell out of me if I so much as think about touching his tummy. Update: I got him a can of wet food, a sponsorship from Raid: Shadow Legends, and my firstborn..and he finally let me touch his tummy. We’ve done it now, folks!

This reminds me of when I bonded with a family member's pet chihuahua. She was neglected in a previous home and had developed a fear of kids and teenagers, so she would hide from me. One day I was watching TV and she got up the courage to hop onto my lap. She was a pampered little baby, and she had this very long luscious fur, and one thing she loved most in the entire world was getting combed. So her owner passed me the comb and told me if I combed her she'd be my friend for life. So I sat there combing this little dog's soft belly for nearly an hour, and she just fell right asleep. And after that she stopped running and hiding when she saw me.
❤❤❤that is just so sweet! I had an ex boyfriend who had an adorable chihuahua named Nala and we became very best buddies when I would go to his house. She loved me as much as him 🤣🤣. I love chihuahuas I used to have them when I was little. ❤
I had two chihuahuas for a couple years when I lived with my mother and step father. Miami (mee-a-mee) and Lilly. Miami was abused in her previous home, and my little brother Jack didn't make things any easier for her in that house; he was rowdy and crazy and always loved to pick on her. But she loved me though. She'd always cower whenever I would reach out to her, rememberkng her previous owners (a dog never forgets being hit), but when my hand would touch her she would remember me, and melt into my petting. Lilly came from the house of a drug addict who filled the air in that place with so many chemicals that Lilly was a little nuts. She couldn't hold her bladder half the time, got excited at little noises while Miami was more calm and reserved, but she had the same enjoyment of pets and scratches. They both can do this thing where they climb into a blanket and slowly roll themselves up in it until they're fully cocooned. I think one might have taught the other, I'm not sure. They did that every night when going to bed.
Even more so is the fact that she's letting her touch her stomach. The stomach is the most sensitive and vulnerable part of the cat cause that's where their vital organs are. If the cat shows you their stomach it's a huge sign of trust but that doesn't mean they'll let you touch it. That's why they bite or scratch lightly in warning if you try to touch. But if they actually let you touch their stomach it means they trust you with their life.
@@snafumaniac5860 Yes as Terra said it does depend. For most cats what you said is true but for some, especially dog-like cats, they love their tummy rubbed or touched.
That’s not how fostering works. She won’t be able to take in more fosters is she keeps every cat. Im sure the little furbaby will love her forever caregiver just as much.
I totally understand. Sacrificing your desire to keep every animal you take in is what’s necessary to continue to help as many as possible. However, I do think occasionally there may be that one that just fits with you and is so special that it’s best fit is you. I’m sure she would be very thoughtful in that decision should she choose to do so because she knows she can’t take them all. I definitely agree with others on here that this seems like a perfect fit though and this relationship is special, unique and unlikely (not impossible just rare) to be found again. I’m sure she will come across other animals that enjoy this, but what really makes this special the cats absolute comfortability, trust and affection with her. Especially given her unstable beginnings. This woman truly has a gift and is the kind of the person that is made for such work. I’m sure every animal she helps will have been made better by her intervention. But I definitely agree with others that this one just appears to be “at home”.

Man, cats just have such a calming presence. Studies have shown that petting a cat actually releases dopamine. Chill Baby is lucky to have found you guys, and you her. She seems like a really special little lady.

I have a female calico cat and she has RASOR sharp claws, so ill be lying on my stomach or back and shell come up and literally massage me . No claw no bite no scratch no loud meowing and its awesome ! I always do it in return too, so now she has connected the dots “ rub human, get rubbed” and i love her! Her name is Casey.
Right?! And idk why, but I find it even more mesmerizing with the hand tattoos. I think it just offers another point of focus while she moves them (or I'm just totally bias as I also have hand tats lol)

Obviously I can't come back as that specific cat because that one already has a life inside it. The point was that my version of heaven is to be a cat that got ASMR massages all the time. Cats are so satisfying to pet and massage. Their purring is rewarding like nothing else, and their Body language tells you very fast when they like it.❤💕
My dog loves massages! I don't know if she would be patient enough to let me do it for 40 minutes, she'd probably either fall asleep or want to go play outside after about 10 min

I mean some cats are actually assholes, but that's what makes them endearing lol. I have three at home and two are very sweet while the third is a complete asshole and I would die for her
@@ambush9505 That's not what I said, hun. I said she was an asshole, but it made her endearing. She pushes things off the table right in front of me. She sticks her head in my glass and drinks my water as soon as I turn my head. She climbs on top of the refrigerator when she knows she's not allowed up there and drags stuff down. She knows she's not allowed up on the kitchen counter and she will wait until the second I turn around to crawl up there. She gives me the stink eye, she doesn't like to be pet much, and if I touch her too much she yells and swats. She is also *conveniently* always in the same room as me. She somehow always finds a spot to lay down next to me. When she swats she never uses claws, and even when I have touched her belly (BIG NO NO) she bit me, but there was no strength behind the bite, she just put her teeth on my hand. When I go to one end of the house where she can't see me, she walks around and cries until she finds me, at which point the sulking and stink eye returns (but she *has* to come sit next to me to do it). If you're getting this heated over talking about cat behavior and how I love all my kitties, then maybe you're projecting about something. Perhaps you should seek therapy. Well wishes :)

I am not homeless right now, but have lived in the streets previously for years. After watching this video, I can't help but wish that more people in society would adopt your attitude towards homelessness and those that experience homelessness. Too often people act like and assume that the homeless are innately diseased and disgusting and dangerous etc....and they forget or choose to ignore the fact that the homeless are people just trying to make it through like everyone else in the world. Thanks for being a good person. God knows that we need more of them, now more than ever.
I have also been homeless, because I ran away from home at 13 because of extreme abuse. Being homeless is horrible, atleast where I live, we don't need to add to the sadness by being grossed out by them.
@@relo352 after some time, yes, but then I eventually got sent into a psych ward/mental ward/whatever you wanna call it, on and off for over a year, and now I'm on my way to getting into a WG where I'll be away from my parents until I'm old enough to get my own house ect, for now I'm living either at my grandmas, uncles, friends or partners house, since I can't stay home, it's complicated. Fr because its SO easy for everything to go wrong and they end up in the same situation like the people they disregard. So many times i couldve been homeless all because of a late paycheck, not being paid at all (still trying to get that money back ) etc. Its terrifying honestly
She said something about how she's petting the cat in specific ways so idk maybe that has something to do with it. I usually scratch my cat under her collar and she'll immediately get comfy.
I have a cat I found as a kitten who absolutely loves being held. When you pick him up he immediately hugs your neck and rubs his face all over you. He actively tries to be picked up and held and it always cheers me up on my worst days.
one of my kittens loves being held, i can just scoop him up into my arms and he purrs like crazy. But he doesn’t stay still! He’s always adjusting himself and playing with my hair.
I definitely have to respectfully disagree with both of you, sorry. If you try to continuously rub the ears in that way, most cats will either shake their heads or pull away. They have to be very relaxed to allow that kind of ear rub.

Yes, absolutely. I love cats, really. But this time I found myself wanting really bad to switch places with her, be it just for a minute. I don’t even know if such great trust is actually possible in humans. I have lived for three full decades and only saw it happen in movies, but never in reality.

Me and this particular ex of mine kind of fell out and do not contact each other anymore, but when we were together, sometimes we would just be laying stretched out somewhere---anywhere from my car to the college library in one of the unoccupied reading booths---and we'd sort of be half napping, half cuddling and doing something like in the video (not quite as liberal, of course, usually just like on the shoulders or hair or something), but damn she used to love when I ran my fingers through her hair. She would literally close her eyes and tilt her head up, just like a cat, with her lips slightly parted and teeth closed, and that was her "I'm enjoying the hell out of this" expression.
She is one of the few things I wish the universe could have just made happen a little differently. The relationship, I mean. It wasn't perfect, and I missed her for a good while even after we stopped talking.
But yes, from time to rare time this kind of trust and relaxation is possible between people.

This reminds me of when I bonded with a family member's pet chihuahua. She was neglected in a previous home and had developed a fear of kids and teenagers, so she would hide from me. One day I was watching TV and she got up the courage to hop onto my lap. She was a pampered little baby, and she had this very long luscious fur, and one thing she loved most in the entire world was getting combed. So her owner passed me the comb and told me if I combed her she'd be my friend for life. So I sat there combing this little dog's soft belly for nearly an hour, and she just fell right asleep. And after that she stopped running and hiding when she saw me.

I had two chihuahuas for a couple years when I lived with my mother and step father.
Miami (mee-a-mee) and Lilly. Miami was abused in her previous home, and my little brother Jack didn't make things any easier for her in that house; he was rowdy and crazy and always loved to pick on her. But she loved me though. She'd always cower whenever I would reach out to her, rememberkng her previous owners (a dog never forgets being hit), but when my hand would touch her she would remember me, and melt into my petting.
Lilly came from the house of a drug addict who filled the air in that place with so many chemicals that Lilly was a little nuts. She couldn't hold her bladder half the time, got excited at little noises while Miami was more calm and reserved, but she had the same enjoyment of pets and scratches.
They both can do this thing where they climb into a blanket and slowly roll themselves up in it until they're fully cocooned. I think one might have taught the other, I'm not sure. They did that every night when going to bed.

Even more so is the fact that she's letting her touch her stomach. The stomach is the most sensitive and vulnerable part of the cat cause that's where their vital organs are. If the cat shows you their stomach it's a huge sign of trust but that doesn't mean they'll let you touch it. That's why they bite or scratch lightly in warning if you try to touch. But if they actually let you touch their stomach it means they trust you with their life.

I totally understand. Sacrificing your desire to keep every animal you take in is what’s necessary to continue to help as many as possible. However, I do think occasionally there may be that one that just fits with you and is so special that it’s best fit is you. I’m sure she would be very thoughtful in that decision should she choose to do so because she knows she can’t take them all. I definitely agree with others on here that this seems like a perfect fit though and this relationship is special, unique and unlikely (not impossible just rare) to be found again. I’m sure she will come across other animals that enjoy this, but what really makes this special the cats absolute comfortability, trust and affection with her. Especially given her unstable beginnings. This woman truly has a gift and is the kind of the person that is made for such work. I’m sure every animal she helps will have been made better by her intervention. But I definitely agree with others that this one just appears to be “at home”.

What a superb human you are. If everyone treated kitties this way, people would realize how amazing cats are. Far too many people call cats assholes, but won't accept the responsibility that cats respond to how they are treated.
I mean some cats are actually assholes, but that's what makes them endearing lol. I have three at home and two are very sweet while the third is a complete asshole and I would die for her

She pushes things off the table right in front of me. She sticks her head in my glass and drinks my water as soon as I turn my head. She climbs on top of the refrigerator when she knows she's not allowed up there and drags stuff down. She knows she's not allowed up on the kitchen counter and she will wait until the second I turn around to crawl up there. She gives me the stink eye, she doesn't like to be pet much, and if I touch her too much she yells and swats.
She is also *conveniently* always in the same room as me. She somehow always finds a spot to lay down next to me. When she swats she never uses claws, and even when I have touched her belly (BIG NO NO) she bit me, but there was no strength behind the bite, she just put her teeth on my hand. When I go to one end of the house where she can't see me, she walks around and cries until she finds me, at which point the sulking and stink eye returns (but she *has* to come sit next to me to do it).
If you're getting this heated over talking about cat behavior and how I love all my kitties, then maybe you're projecting about something. Perhaps you should seek therapy. Well wishes :)

This kitten hit the freaking jackpot of homes after being homeless. Wow. I would trade places with this cat any day.
I am not homeless right now, but have lived in the streets previously for years. After watching this video, I can't help but wish that more people in society would adopt your attitude towards homelessness and those that experience homelessness.
Too often people act like and assume that the homeless are innately diseased and disgusting and dangerous etc....and they forget or choose to ignore the fact that the homeless are people just trying to make it through like everyone else in the world. Thanks for being a good person. God knows that we need more of them, now more than ever.

I have also been homeless, because I ran away from home at 13 because of extreme abuse.
Being homeless is horrible, atleast where I live, we don't need to add to the sadness by being grossed out by them.

@@relo352 after some time, yes, but then I eventually got sent into a psych ward/mental ward/whatever you wanna call it, on and off for over a year, and now I'm on my way to getting into a WG where I'll be away from my parents until I'm old enough to get my own house ect, for now I'm living either at my grandmas, uncles, friends or partners house, since I can't stay home, it's complicated.

Fr because its SO easy for everything to go wrong and they end up in the same situation like the people they disregard. So many times i couldve been homeless all because of a late paycheck, not being paid at all (still trying to get that money back ) etc. Its terrifying honestly

She said something about how she's petting the cat in specific ways so idk maybe that has something to do with it. I usually scratch my cat under her collar and she'll immediately get comfy.
I have a cat I found as a kitten who absolutely loves being held. When you pick him up he immediately hugs your neck and rubs his face all over you. He actively tries to be picked up and held and it always cheers me up on my worst days.
one of my kittens loves being held, i can just scoop him up into my arms and he purrs like crazy. But he doesn’t stay still! He’s always adjusting himself and playing with my hair.

Most cats like their ears touched. Belly rubs or touching paws is a different story
Doesn’t seem that way to me, every cat Ive ever been around let me touch their ears even if I’m not actively trying to so I figured it was normal.

I definitely have to respectfully disagree with both of you, sorry. If you try to continuously rub the ears in that way, most cats will either shake their heads or pull away. They have to be very relaxed to allow that kind of ear rub.
Soph It hasn’t happened to me so maybe it just depends on the person I guess. I’m also just talking about my experiences so theres really nothing to disagree with.
