  • My old rail from the video I made years ago is no longer here. So I had to build a new PVC p-rail but with post-inflation pricing it’s about $10 these days. Still not terrible if you ask me!!
    At one point you could have done this for $20

    nice one - mine have last over 10 years - can't go wrong with this design

      Thanks! Yeah it’s the Go-2 design for stability and price imo. Until I see another diy video to prove otherwise 😂

    Nice they're looking more like I make my own PVC
    Would like to see you make a another rail exactly the same size that locks on
    To the current rail for longer grinds easy to find pieces that will lock it together at any hardware store

      Will do, this is a great idea. We’ve done it with skate boxes.

    Plumbing PVC runs 1 1/4” - 1 1/2” - 2” looks like you have 1 1/4” which is uncommon. 2” might be best because it will go over the wood and you won’t stick. May get wheel bite riding flat though

    Subbing for this video! Muchos gracias! I wanted a p rail but didn't want to drop over $1-200 to buy one online.

    Why not put the screws through the wood into the pipe instead of drilling holes in the sliding surface?

    • @therealkylewood
      @therealkylewood  4 месяца назад

      Well it’s a 2x4 so that would not be so easy… I don’t think. Try it and let me know how it goes.

    Do you know if quadskate/slide blocks would snag on the screws??

    • @therealkylewood
      @therealkylewood  10 месяцев назад

      I’m very confident quads would slide fine on this. I’d say about 90% sure. But not 100. Hope that helps!

      Quads with slide blocks will work fine. The screws are below the top of the pipe so no danger.

    What is the size of the two pieces of wood standing upright? 10CM?

    Do you feel like the angle of the wood gets in the way of soulplate tricks?

    • @therealkylewood
      @therealkylewood  Год назад

      No doubt, that’s the biggest drawback. It’s not terrible for soul tricks, negative tricks are extra tough though.

    What size drill bit did you use?

    • @therealkylewood
      @therealkylewood  4 месяца назад

      I really don’t remember. The key is to get the hole just large enough to fit the screw head.

    Me and my son want to make this one, we made the one without the hinges and had an extra board under the rail

      What's the better design in your opinion?

    • @Rene_Dillon
      @Rene_Dillon 16 дней назад

      @86lanzo honestly works the same as long as it's stable , that's what's most important, I hate when you soul slap it and it flips over

    So if you way about 90lbs this would work just fine?

    • @therealkylewood
      @therealkylewood  7 месяцев назад

      This thing can handle up to around 250 lbs jumping on it. Haha so yeah it will hold you. Only thing I’ll add is if you use a pvc pipe like I show, and keep it outside in extreme temperatures, the pvc itself may break or crack if you are tough on it. But it takes quite a bit to break one of these. And if you do, you would just need to replace the pvc part only, which can easily be done.
