Glad you enjoyed! The differences between regular and extra are: Extra is made with three piri-piri peppers per tin instead of the usual one, AND stored for a minimum of three months before being released so that the capsaicin has time to suffuse through the contents of the tin.

New subscriber from the UK here. RUclips offered me up your video "How to Eat Canned Sardines (ELIMINATE THE FEAR)". As a big canned fish/seafood fan, this was like Manna from Heaven and is like a conversation I've had with many of my friends! Having lived on the coast of France, Spain, Portugal and Turkey, these countries have eating small fish ingrained in them, unlike here in the UK where we are surrounded by water and hardly anyone ventures to experiment past Cod or Haddock. Keep up the good work. Have you tried canned octopus, mussels, sea urchins etc? I'll keep watching your videos and I'm sure I'll find that you have. Have a great day.
I'm late to the show but condolences for your loss of your kitty. I love my cat as much as a tin of deenz in Louisiana hot sauce!! Kitties are so special!!

I love the little notes that are included by RTG with the cans . . . except the adverrtisement. But you gotta do what you gotta do to run a small business. You both go! Nuri and Angelo Parodi were my two go tos for some time. I have now been spreading out, but the AP Filletti di Sgomboro Pepperoncino e Zenzero mackerel is still #1 for that variety. But I cannot find it anywhere anymore!
Your "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah." reminds me of my old neighbor. Except in his case, it was at 4AM when he was in his backyard screaming to rock music, and a few bottles deep 😂
Just tried nuri spicy and nuri spicy tomato. They're sooo good! Oh my gosh! If you're thinking of trying deenz out and you're worried about them being too fishy, these are just perfect. They're firm and flavorful but mild as can be. Wonderful! Thanks for the recommendation, Matthew.
Great vid, Matt! My wife and I tune in when we can to see what's new on your channel. Hard to catch up sometimes with two littles and all. Thanks for jogging our memories! p.s. I always eat the piri piris and I noticed you didn't. Do you not like them? I love how they pop in the mouth and have a little crunch from the seeds! Have a good one!
For dinner tonight, I had the Nuri in spicy tomato sauce over some Texmati rice; a little grated Romano cheese on top and a salad on the side. Really enjoyable!
You got me hooked i say! I was actually specifically looking for those roasted eel in chili at my local japanese store, but i ended up leaving with some sardines, saury, and squid in sweet soy sauce (or at least i think for the squid, it was 'seasoning squid' but ingredients were squid soy sauce, sugar etc... so im guessing the flavor profile will be saltier but similar). I did end up getting some frozen roast eel when I asked her, but idk what im going to do with it, i am really sensitive to my house smelling like cooked food, and im guessing that eel is gonna be a STRONG BOI
Hey Matthew did you ever see or hear of this restaurant in Osaka(I believe)- where EVERYTHING on the menu is canned? Literally everything! There's a video on RUclips about it from channel(WAO RYU!ONLY in JAPAN)
Amazing video and comments. The Nuri Sardines in Spice Oil are packed with chilli, clove, and cucumber flavors, they’re a bit spicy and aromatic without a fishy taste. Great canned sardine brand. Good video.
This channel is top tier. I got my first order from Dan 2 week ago. If anyone plans on ordering I highly recommend the Hagoromo deens in soy sauce they’re so good. Gonna try Angelo’s Parodis next. Keep up the great content Matt!

But the style is super fun, the host very engaging, and I find myself hoping he moves into my school district so we can be sick bros and poor sardine oil into a bully’s gas tank.
It would be interesting to see which canneries belong to which brands. we need a good insider perspective on how canneries work, in terms of that. That would help to get a better idea of which products to invest in and which to avoid. For example, it seems most of the Moroccan sardines are canned similarly, with only small differences in packaging, labeling and the oils. So how does it work? do they have their own factories? or is it a shared facility that different distributors use? I guess if they add their own spices, per company, it doesn't really matter, but it still would be cool to know.
